How we work in Mexico, in plain language
Procurement teams in CDMX, Guadalajara, Monterrey and the Bajío ask us the same handful of questions before every first order. The answers below are the ones our account managers send most often, with the Mexican tax and customs detail that your ERP and your SAT portal will actually need.
What this section covers
The Mexican market has its own rules for invoicing, customs, delivery and recurring procurement. These FAQ pages collect the practical questions that come up when a Mexican buyer evaluates a new merchandise supplier: how CFDI 4.0 stamps are issued, what an IMMEX flow means for a temporary import, which carriers cover which zip codes, how minimum order quantities work for hospitality and maquiladora programs, and how the time-zone gap with US and European buyers affects hand-offs.
Procurement teams in CDMX, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Saltillo, Silao, Querétaro, Puebla, Tijuana, Mérida and Cancún rely on these answers when they put together the first PO. The detail below is meant to be copy-pasted into your internal approval documents.
The five questions we field every week
How does Corp-Merch Mexico issue invoices?
Every order ships with a CFDI 4.0 stamped by SAT. We need your RFC, razón social, régimen fiscal, código postal of the domicilio fiscal, and the uso de CFDI that your ERP expects. For cross-border programs billed to a US parent entity, we issue a separate USD invoice and a Mexican CFDIs without IVA for the on-shore handling.
Can Corp-Merch Mexico handle IMMEX-bonded inventory?
Yes — for buyers operating under the IMMEX program, we coordinate temporary imports through trade agents in Nuevo Laredo and the port of Veracruz. The pedimento is filed against the IMMEX pad of the importing entity, and the inputs return to origin or transfer to a maquila plant under the documented flow.
What is the typical delivery time inside Mexico?
Production takes 10–15 business days after proof approval. Domestic transit is 1–3 business days for CDMX, Guadalajara, Monterrey and Querétaro via Estafeta or Paquetexpress; 3–5 days to Tijuana, Mérida, Cancún and Los Cabos via FedEx Mexico or DHL Mexico. Rush service is available for tradeshow deadlines.
Which industries does Corp-Merch Mexico serve?
IMMEX and maquiladora plants, automotive clusters in the Bajío, hospitality and all-inclusive resorts in Cancún and Riviera Maya, mining contractors in Sonora and Zacatecas, the Mexican trade-show circuit (ITM León, ANTAD, Tianguis Turístico, INA PAACE Automechanika), and the US-to-Mexico nearshoring offices that have relocated engineering teams.
How do recurring programs work?
Quarterly welcome kits, monthly consumable replenishment for resorts and annual dealer kits run on a blanket PO with call-offs. We hold an agreed stock level in our Guadalajara consolidation warehouse and release against your schedule. Each call-off issues its own CFDI stamped by SAT, and the CFDI references roll up into a single payment receipt.
