Sala Magna at the CDMX Convention Center: the Investor Day that opens earnings season and leaves the CFO signing autographs at the registration photocall

Sala Magna is the rectangular hall at the CDMX Convention Center with a press balcony, fourteen-meter LED screen, electronic voting system for live Q&A and a back-of-house freight elevator where the corporate kit lands during the Investor Days that IPC and FTSE-BIVA issuers run at the start of every quarter. Analyst breakfasts with GBM, Actinver, Santander, Banorte and BTG Pactual happen here, as do the 2026-2030 strategy presentations accompanying corporate restructurings, the multi-city roadshows that begin in CDMX and continue in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Querétaro, and the annual meetings of exchange-traded funds. What defines Sala Magna is the mixed formality: public investors in the morning and a closing dinner with key clients at night, with the same merch flowing between two audiences.

Logistics, access and custody at Sala Magna

Sala Magna's freight elevator at the Convention Center has restricted hours from 6:00 to 9:30 AM on event day, with a log signed by center operations and the issuer's logistics chief. Material moves to the hall's back-of-house in sealed boxes with lot numbers and stays under lock until registration opens. For analyst breakfasts starting at 7:30 AM, we run overnight delivery with armed escort when the kit value exceeds 800,000 MXN.

For multi-city roadshows that start in CDMX and continue to Monterrey, Guadalajara, Querétaro and Tijuana, we run partial shipments with Carta Porte 3.0 and the foreign trade complement when the kit crosses the northern border, with USMCA compliance for issuers operating in the United States and Canada. For international tours continuing to NY, London or Madrid, we run IATA-compliant packing and coordinate with the client's corporate courier. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, timestamp and photo at every checkpoint: freight elevator intake, center operations inspection, back-of-house transfer, restocking during the coffee break and post-event collection.

For issuers invoicing through SAT, we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Investor Relations expense. For issuers with international operations, we run complementary invoicing in USD at the Banco de México FIX rate of the prior day and compliance with the foreign-operations regime. For corporates with dual MXN/USD invoicing, we run the payment complement when the operation closes in installments. For tours crossing the border, we file a temporary import pedimento when the kit returns to Mexico.

CNBV, USMCA compliance and Sala Magna prohibitions

Sala Magna operates under CNBV and BMV rules for public-issuer presentations: no merch referencing undisclosed material information, no undeclared devices admitted through the security manifest, no competitor-logo merch during one-on-one analysis sessions, no photography or recording during the live Q&A session, no outside food or beverages beyond the center's authorized catering. For Investor Days with encrypted retransmission abroad, we run pieces compliant with the issuer's transmission protocol and concealed pieces for the transmission feed when the compliance manual requires it.

For multi-city tours crossing the northern border, we run USMCA compliance with the certificate of origin when the kit includes U.S. components and support for the foreign trade complement of CFDI 4.0. For European legs covering London or Madrid, we run GDPR compliance for handling European-analyst data and support for local-VAT invoicing when the corporate has an EU subsidiary. For Asian legs covering Tokyo or Singapore, we run compliance with local merchandise-entry restrictions and coordinate with the client's international courier.

For SAT invoicing, we issue CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown and deduction support as Investor Relations, Public Relations or Marketing expense. For corporates with dual invoicing, we run the payment complement when installments apply. For international tours, we file temporary import pedimentos when the kit returns to Mexico and comply with Article 27 of the Fiscal Code of the Federation for deducting expenses abroad. Delivery to back-of-house is documented with a slip signed by the center operations chief and the issuer's IR officer.
