CFDI 4.0 · IMMEX · Maquiladoras

Podcast episodes on merch in Mexico

Three recorded conversations on the parts of merchandise production that are paperwork: how an invoice is structured, how an export programme is accounted for, and what changes when production happens inside a plant rather than a workshop. Each episode is published as a full written transcript, because a line of tax treatment is easier to read than to listen to twice.

What the episodes cover

Episode 1, CFDI 4.0. The structure of the digital invoice, the difference between the invoice issued to a client and the complement required for freight, the usage codes that decide whether your accountant can deduct, and the three fields that cause most rejections.

Episode 2, IMMEX. Declared inputs and declared outputs, why giving merchandise to an employee is a taxable event, and how the merchandise line has to be documented alongside the production file rather than treated as an afterthought.

Episode 3, maquiladoras. What changes when production moves inside an export plant: who the employer is, how delivery to the border changes the logistics, and which documents have to exist before the first unit rather than after the last.

How these episodes are made

  • Transcribed, not summarised. The full text is published so a specific line can be found and quoted.
  • Operations, not sales. Conversations with people who do the paperwork, not with a sales team.
  • Questions with a purpose. Each episode answers a question a client has actually asked.
  • No client data. No company figures, names or recipient lists appear in the transcripts.
  • Not tax advice. A general explanation of how a process works, for a reader with their own adviser.
  • Free to read. Nothing on this page requires an audio player or a subscription.

Every episode

Three episodes, published as transcripts.

What we are not

Corp-Merch.MX is an independent production workshop for corporate merch, uniforms and business gifting, invoicing to SAT under CFDI 4.0. Episodes are editorial and general in nature; nothing recorded here is fiscal, customs or legal advice, and the views expressed are those of the speakers. We are not an official partner, sponsor or approved supplier of any authority, platform or brand referred to in these episodes.

Ask about an episode

If a transcript raises a question about your own programme — an invoice field, a declared input, a document you have been asked for — send it. We answer the question and point you to whoever at your side should confirm it.
