Merch trend and industry reports
A trend report that does not say what to do differently is decoration. These reports are written to end in a decision: which material to specify for the next run, which volume step to plan against, which channel is actually buying merchandise this year. Every figure carries its basis, and every estimate is labelled as an estimate rather than presented as a measurement.
What the reports cover
The quarterly reads track what changed in the previous quarter and what it implies for the next one: shifts in decoration methods, movements in minimum quantities, seasonal timing and freight. A quarterly read is short by design, because a report nobody finishes has no effect on what gets ordered.
The industry and maquiladora reports look at the export-manufacturing context that determines cost and lead time for merchandise made in or shipped into Mexico. Where a figure comes from a public source, the source is named; where it is our own estimate from operating data, it is labelled as such. The annual trends report pulls the year together for readers who want one document rather than four.
How to use a report
- Check the basis. Every figure states whether it is measured, published by a third party or modelled.
- Read the production implication. The point of a figure is the decision it changes, not the number itself.
- Match it to your own volume. Most category trends do not hold at small runs.
- Watch the date. A lead-time trend from last year may already have moved.
- Do not treat it as a forecast. These are reads of what happened, not predictions.
- Use it to ask better questions. Then send us the question.
Every report
Seven reports: quarterly reads, industry material and an annual summary.
What we are not
Corp-Merch.MX is an independent production workshop for corporate merch, uniforms and business gifting, invoicing to SAT under CFDI 4.0. These reports are editorial, based on public sources and on our own operational data. Figures are estimates unless a source is named, and nothing here is investment advice. We are not an official partner, sponsor or approved supplier of any association, research body or brand referenced in these reports.
Apply a trend
If something in these reports changes what you plan to order next year, tell us which finding and what the constraint is. We will turn it into a specification, a volume and a date.
