Merch year in review
A retrospective is only worth reading if it is honest about the parts that went badly, and if it says what changed as a result. These annual reviews cover what was produced, which sectors the work came from, which quality issues surfaced and which process was changed because of them. Several are filed under more than one heading, which is why this section holds seven pages for five years.
What each review covers
Each year is reviewed along the same lines: the volume produced and the mix of products, the sectors that generated the work, the freight and venue patterns that caused trouble, the quality issues that reached a client rather than being caught in line, and the process changes that came out of them. Where a year produced more complaints than usual, that is stated with the number rather than paraphrased.
The reviews are written for a reader deciding whether to work with us, which is why they are more candid than a brochure would be. They also serve as a record: when a client asks in 2027 whether the same mistake was made in 2023, the answer should be on the site and not in someone’s memory.
What each review records
- Volume and mix. What was produced, in which product categories, for which sectors.
- Delivery performance. Where dates held and where freight or venue access broke them.
- Quality issues. What reached the client, how many, and what was replaced or credited.
- Compliance. Documentation failures and the process that now prevents them.
- Process changes. The specific change made, and the year it took effect.
- What stayed the same. Decisions that were reviewed and deliberately kept.
