Quality assurance for corporate merch
Quality control that only happens at the end of the line is a way of counting mistakes rather than preventing them. The material on this page describes what is checked while the goods are being made, what is checked at packing, what documentation travels with the shipment and what happens when something is found wrong anyway. Seven pages, because a uniform, an export batch and a gift box do not have the same failure modes.
Where quality is actually controlled
Before production. The specification is fixed and the artwork is approved. Most defects that cannot be repaired originate here: a garment ordered without a stated fabric weight, a logo supplied at the wrong scale, a print area larger than the product allows.
In line. During cutting and sewing, checks run against the approved sample rather than against a description, because a sample is an object and a description is an interpretation. Embroidery is checked for stitch density and thread tension; screen print for coverage and registration; garments for measurements against the size table.
At packing. The final gate: count, colour, size, artwork, labelling, packing and carton marks. This is also where the documentation is assembled — batch number, delivery note and the invoices that must travel with the goods. For an IMMEX batch the file has to be complete before the container closes, not after it leaves.
What we document
- Specification. The written specification the batch was produced against, with the approved sample attached.
- In-line checks. Recorded at agreed points rather than only at the end of the run.
- Packing inspection. Count, size, artwork, labelling and carton marks before the goods are closed.
- Traceability. Batch and lot numbers that link a finished item back to its material and its workshop.
- Supplier documentation. Origin and material certificates where the programme requires them.
- Claims handling. Evidence, window and decision rule, so a problem is resolved rather than argued about.
Every quality page
Seven pages covering processes, certifications, ethics and the questions we are asked most.
What we are not
Corp-Merch.MX is an independent production workshop for corporate merch, uniforms and business gifting, invoicing to SAT under CFDI 4.0. We are not a certification body, a testing laboratory or an accreditation organisation, and nothing on this page is a test report or a certificate. We are not an official partner, sponsor or approved supplier of any certification body, laboratory or brand named in these pages.
Tell us what you need checked
If your programme has a quality requirement that is not on this list — a client audit, a specific test method, a documentation language — say so in the brief. We will state what we can evidence and what we cannot, before the order is scheduled.
