Definitive guides to corporate merch in Mexico
Three guides that try to answer a question completely rather than partially: which supplier to appoint, how to specify a uniform so that it survives a year of washing, and what a merchandise programme in Mexico actually involves from the first brief to the last invoice. They are written for a reader who has to make a decision and defend it afterwards, which is why they are longer than the rest of this site.
How to read these guides
Each guide is standalone. If you are choosing a supplier for the first time, start with the supplier selection guide: it sets out what to ask for in a quotation, what a factory tour actually proves and which answers are reassuring for the wrong reasons. If a uniform is the immediate problem, the uniform specification guide is the one that saves money, because most uniform complaints trace back to a specification written in adjectives rather than numbers.
The third guide covers the programme as a whole — budget, calendar, approvals, measurement, distribution and invoicing — and is the one to read before the first order rather than before the second. None of the three depends on the others, and none of them assumes you have worked with a merch supplier before.
What the guides cover
- Choosing a supplier. What to request in a quotation, how to compare two quotes line by line, and what a sample actually proves.
- Specifying uniforms. Fabric weight, sizing, labelling and decoration written as numbers, so two suppliers quote the same garment.
- The full programme. Budget, calendar, approvals, measurement, distribution and the invoice at the end.
- Minimum order quantities. Where the real threshold sits per product and per decoration method.
- Lead times. Sample, production, decoration and freight as separate clocks rather than one number.
- Quality control. What is inspected in-line, what is inspected at packing, and what is checked on arrival.
Every definitive guide
Three long-form guides. They are meant to be read once and then kept, not skimmed.
What we are not
Corp-Merch.MX is an independent production workshop for corporate merch, uniforms and business gifting, invoicing to SAT under CFDI 4.0. These guides describe how we work and how we think a programme should be run; they are not a certification of any other supplier, nor a guarantee of results. We are not an official partner, sponsor or approved supplier of any body or brand named in these guides.
Ask us anything from the guides
If a guide raises a question about your own programme — a specification you are drafting, a quote you have been given, a supplier you are weighing — send it. We will answer it and, where it helps, tell you what we would do differently.
