Baby and infant orders

What we consider when fulfilling orders with bibs, onesies, expecting parent welcome kits, and hospital or daycare gift sets in Mexico.

Why baby orders follow their own flow

Products that touch newborn or toddler skin have to meet extra criteria that do not apply to adult apparel. At Corp-Merch Mexico we address those criteria from the brief so your order ships without delays over incomplete certifications.

We work with combed cotton, 100% cotton percale, and bamboo-certified blends. For bibs we always use a double absorbent layer with bound seams that do not scratch. For onesies we make sure the neckline is overlocked and the snaps are nickel-free, since skin reactions in newborns are the most common reason for returns on this kind of order.

When the project is going to a hospital or corporate daycare, we usually request an additional letter signed by the medical or HR team. The letter confirms that the product is delivered to adult staff in an institutional setting, which helps document the batch in case of a later audit.

For expecting-parent welcome kits that companies in Mexico give out, we usually suggest a mixed basket with an organic cotton onesie, a muslin swaddle, a food-grade silicone teether, and a notebook. The packaging goes into a raw cotton pouch with a wax seal and a personalized card with the baby's name, when the family shares it.

Each piece is individually marked with an internal batch code and packed per recipient. When delivery is going to a hospital or daycare, we keep traceability in a simple log that your compliance team can review later. If your policy requires storing names encrypted, we set that up from the brief and sign a confidentiality letter for the handling of personal data of minors and their families.

For companies that hand out corporate baby shower kits, we usually produce between eight and twenty units per event and rotate them by quarter. That covers new hires without piling up inventory. When monthly volume is steady and above fifty units, we open a dedicated line with material on consignment so lead time drops to one week from a new-mom notice. Reverse logistics for un-delivered pieces runs through your portal and is credited to the next cycle.

Frequently asked questions about baby orders

What HR, marketing, and operations teams most often ask when running family-wellness programs.

Which materials do you use for baby products?

100% combed cotton, percale, bamboo-certified blends, and muslin. For bibs we add a double absorbent layer with bound seams. For teethers we use food-grade silicone free of BPA. We avoid polyester blends near the mouth and nose.

Do you carry OEKO-TEX or equivalent certifications?

Yes. We work with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I textiles, the strictest category, which applies to products for children under three. If your audit also requires GOTS for organic, we include it at an extra cost and deliver the chain-of-custody certificate alongside the batch.

What is the minimum quantity for personalized bibs and onesies?

The minimum is 30 units per style and color for bibs, and 50 units for onesies per size and color. For assembled welcome kits the minimum rises to 20 sets with a 60-unit total floor. For smaller volumes we have ready-to-stock lines we can mark with small embroidery at no minimum.

Can you embroider the baby's name on each piece?

Yes, we handle individual name embroidery. For welcome kits this is standard. We need a spreadsheet with the baby's name, date of birth, and, if your company tracks it, the employee's name. We delete that data from our records when the project closes and, if your policy requires it, we also sign a data-destruction letter for your files.

How long does a hospital or daycare kit order take?

Standard production is fifteen to twenty business days for batches of one hundred to three hundred units. For volumes above five hundred we plan with two additional weeks and ship in stages. Urgent jobs are quoted with a surcharge and only on stock items.

How do you handle delivery to hospitals and clinics?

We coordinate a window with the receiving team and deliver in a sealed pouch per recipient. For public hospitals we usually hand off at the main entrance with ID from the receiver. For private clinics we go to reception by appointment. We always issue a Carta Porte to document the chain of custody.

Can you assemble the full kit with packaging?

Yes. We assemble the kit in a raw cotton pouch, a recycled cardboard box with a wax seal, or an engraved wooden box depending on budget. Assembly happens at our workshop and ships ready for handoff to the final recipient. A personalized card is included when applicable. For companies with high-volume internal gifting, we also prepare un-personalized kits that the company finishes with an internal card at its own office.
