Shipment tracking — end-to-end visibility

Carta Porte 3.0, courier portals (DHL, FedEx, Estafeta, Redpack, Paquetexpress), REST API with webhooks, and nationwide coverage map. What your logistics team can consume automatically.

Tracking gets planned before the first package leaves the plant

In Mexico, tracking a corporate shipment is not just pasting a tracking number on a webpage. It means fiscal visibility (Carta Porte 3.0 with CFDI 4.0), operational visibility (real-time carrier events), and visibility for the final recipient (notifications by email, SMS, or WhatsApp). At Corp-Merch Mexico we structure tracking as a system, not as an after-the-fact courtesy, and we configure it with your logistics team from the first order.

When we issue the Carta Porte 3.0, the CFDI 4.0 carries the complement with carrier, vehicle, operator, origin, and each destination data. This is what the SAT has required since 2023 for overland cargo transit, and what your accounting department needs to deduct the expense and support the transit in any future audit. If your brand operates a maquiladora in Tijuana or Ciudad Juarez and crosses the border, we also add the temporary or definitive import pedimento with its corresponding complement.

We work with the national and multinational couriers that hold solid presence across the territory: DHL Express and DHL Standard, FedEx Domestic and International, Estafeta for national ground, Redpack for last-mile in CDMX and the metropolitan area, Paquetexpress for the north and Bajio, and 99 Minutos or J&T Express for urban express shipments. When the destination is a corporate address with reception, we usually suggest DHL or Estafeta with signature on receipt; when it is a residential address, FedEx or 99 Minutos for their last-mile coverage.

For mass shipments to final recipients —typical in loyalty campaigns, product launches, or employee deliveries— we use a micro-tracking system that combines the carrier tracking number with a microsite customized for your brand. The recipient gets an email with the tracking number, a link to the microsite branded with your logo, and the option to confirm delivery with digital signature or photo. This reduces call center volume by up to 40 percent during a large campaign and gives you a confirmation database ready to report to the commercial area.

If your logistics or CRM team wants to consume shipping events automatically, we offer a REST API with token authentication and webhooks that fire when the package status changes (received at warehouse, in transit, out for delivery, delivered, exception). The schema is documented and delivered with Postman examples, so your IT team can integrate with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, HubSpot, Salesforce, or your in-house system. For clients running Aduana Operation or IMMEX, we also add pedimento and customs clearance events.

The nationwide coverage map is the first filter when we quote a delivery. We run a central warehouse in Tlalnepantla (State of Mexico) covering the Valley of Mexico and the metropolitan area in 24 to 48 hours, plus regional hubs in Guadalajara for the West, Monterrey for the North and Bajio, Merida for the Southeast, and Tijuana for the northern border. For destinations deep in the south (Chiapas, Oaxaca, Guerrero) or in rural areas, timelines add two to four business days and shipping rates may rise, which we flag from the quote so your budget does not move at close.

One piece that often comes up on large orders: exceptions. A package can be damaged in transit, held at customs, returned for an incorrect address, or lost. We run a three-level protocol: level 1 with partial or full replacement at no cost when damage is attributable to the carrier and documented, level 2 with a formal claim filed with the courier and daily follow-up until close, level 3 with replacement at our cost when the brand assumed the address risk and it is on the contract. This avoids the later argument over who pays for the replacement and keeps the operation inside the agreed timelines.

For campaigns with tight seasonal windows (back-to-school, Buen Fin, Hot Sale, end-of-year gifts) we offer a buffer service: we hold a 5 to 10 percent reserve in our central warehouse from the moment the production batch closes, ready to ship as replacements or top-ups within 48 hours. The reserve stays there until your campaign ends, then we either restock into your next project or return the surplus. It is one of those operational details that makes the difference between a campaign that ships on time and one that misses its window by a week.
