Salon R-5 Corp Coyoacán: the garden with bougainvillea and a hundred-year-old ahuehuete where corporate foundations present the social-impact report and auction the piece donated by the Oaxacan artist
Salon R-5 Corp Coyoacán is the garden with bougainvillea, a century-old ahuehuete tree and rose-cantera fountain, perimeter gallery for pieces donated by contemporary Mexican artists, open-air stage for panel conversations and poetry readings, seating for 120 under the canopy or 200 standing around the fountain, contemporary Oaxacan cuisine service with mezcal and atol pairing, live marimba máquina trio or Yucatecan trova soloists, and a back-of-house freight elevator with its own entry off Calle Francisco Sosa. The room hosts the corporate social responsibility (CSR) events that Mexican corporate foundations run at the fiscal-year close, the silent auctions that accompany the gala dinner to raise funds for education and health programs, the social-impact program launches announced in the presence of the cultural press (La Jornada, Reforma, Letras Libres, Gatopardo), and the Children's Day or International Women's Day celebrations organized by the corporate's diversity and inclusion committee. What defines R-5 is the proximity to the artistic community: the merch is conceived as a donation piece or as community recognition, not as a corporate souvenir.
