Salon R-12 Corp Iztapalapa: the industrial pavilion with prototype gallery where the Mexican maquila presents the production line to Walmart, Costco and Home Depot buyers before the fall launch

Salon R-12 Corp Iztapalapa is the industrial pavilion with prototype gallery and pilot production line, capacity for 600 visitors in expo format or 1200 standing in fair format, audio system for stand announcements, set-menu catering for the plant teams, industrial Wi-Fi system for online orders from the stands, rapid setup for three-day fairs with overnight teardown, and a back-of-house heavy-duty freight elevator, trailer dock and own entry off Avenida Tláhuac. The room hosts the industrial expos that manufacturing-industry associations (CANACINTRA, CONCAMIN, INDEX, AMEXME, ANIERM) run at the end of each quarter to present the production line to retail-chain buyers (Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Soriana, Chedraui) and to US and Canadian importers, the manufacturer expos where maquila plants present prototypes to global-brand buyers, the plastics, hardware and packaging fairs that accompany the fall season launch, and the supplier fairs where IMMEX plants validate tier 2-3 components of the industrial cluster. What defines R-12 is volume: the merch is delivered as a working tool for the buyer and as plant-team recognition, with strict compliance of the IMMEX and USMCA programs.

Logistics, access and custody at Salon R-12 Iztapalapa

R-12's heavy-duty freight entry off Avenida Tláhuac has restricted hours from 4:00 to 8:00 on expo day, with a log signed by pavilion operations, the plant's logistics chief and the IMMEX compliance officer. Material moves to the back-of-house in sealed boxes with lot numbers and stays under lock in the pavilion's cellar until registration setup begins. For three-day expos with US and Canadian buyers, we run kits with English translation and strict IMMEX-program compliance for cross-border components.

For multi-cluster expos combining CDMX with Toluca, Puebla, Saltillo, Silao and Ramos Arizpe, we run partial shipments with Carta Porte 3.0 and the foreign trade complement when the component crosses the northern border, with USMCA compliance for plants operating in the US and Canada. For international legs continuing into High Point, Las Vegas or Hannover, we run IATA-compliant packing and coordinate with the client's corporate courier. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, timestamp and photo at every checkpoint: dock intake, pavilion operations inspection, back-of-house transfer, restocking during registration and post-event collection.

For plants invoicing through SAT, we issue CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown and deduction support as Commercial or Buyer Relations expense. For plants with international operations, we run complementary invoicing in USD at the Banco de México FIX rate of the prior day and compliance with the foreign-operations regime. For plants with dual MXN/USD invoicing, we run the payment complement when the operation closes in installments. For tours crossing the border, we file a temporary import pedimento when the kit returns to Mexico.

IMMEX, USMCA compliance and Salon R-12 prohibitions

R-12 operates under the IMMEX program rules of the Ministry of Economy and the USMCA Interagency Committee for manufacturer expos: no merch with components that fail the regional content required by USMCA, no undeclared electronic devices admitted through the pavilion's security manifest, no competitor-logo merch during the expo, no photography or recording of prototypes before the official launch, no outside food or beverages beyond R-12's authorized catering. For expos with encrypted retransmission abroad, we run pieces compliant with the plant's transmission protocol and concealed pieces for the feed when the compliance manual requires it.

For multi-cluster expos crossing the northern border, we run USMCA compliance with certificate of origin when the kit includes US components and support for the foreign trade complement of CFDI 4.0. For European legs covering Hannover or Milan, we run GDPR compliance for European buyer data and support for local-VAT invoicing when the plant has an EU subsidiary. For Asian legs covering Tokyo or Shanghai, we run compliance with local merchandise-entry restrictions and coordinate with the client's international courier.

For SAT invoicing, we issue CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown and deduction support as Commercial, Buyer Relations or Regulatory Compliance expense. For plants with dual invoicing, we run the payment complement when installments apply. For international tours, we file temporary import pedimentos when the kit returns to Mexico and comply with Article 27 of the Fiscal Code of the Federation for deducting expenses abroad. Delivery to the pavilion's cellar is documented with a slip signed by the pavilion operations chief and the plant's IMMEX compliance officer.
