Salon L-8: the room where the senior instructor hands over the operator certification and the technician kit lands before the first session of the cohort

Salon L-8 is a technical training room in an IMMEX industrial park: 75-inch interactive screen with backup projector, 22 practice stations with simulator, video conferencing to the Saltillo plant and the corporate parent, round-the-clock coffee service, dock with restricted hours for didactic material delivery, attached workshop with practice robots. New line operator certifications run here, along with refresh courses for maintenance technicians, dual education sessions with CONALEP and corporates, safety briefings with STPS presence, and cohort close with the plant director. What sets Salon L-8 apart is not the staging (which is technical and contained) but the pedagogy: every merch piece has to land signed for by the receiving technician, exit with the warehouse control sheet, and let the certification close without merch logistics delaying the diploma handoff.

Salon L-8 logistics, access and chain of custody

Salon L-8 runs on a freight dock shared with the campus workshop: the lateral dock accepts 12-ton trailers inside restricted hours (typically 6:00 to 9:00 and 18:00 to 21:00), and the 3.5-ton box truck has its own ramp on the east side. Pedestrian freight access requires prior ID, campus credential, logbook signature and industrial-safety protocol compliance; there is no informal access and no entry through the main door. Campus operations staff delivers the POP material and the technician kits with visible ID and credential, and handles restocking during continuous coffee break recesses. Salon L-8's back-of-house has two areas: the practice room (where the technician kit is staged and the per-cohort delivery is signed) and the didactic store (where the remaining merch sits in sealed boxes bearing the corporate seal).

For cohorts with international instructor presence (typically from the US, Canada, Germany or Japan), we handle invoicing in USD at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the event, with USMCA compliance and support for deduction as technical training expense or International Client Relations expense in the corporate fiscal close. For cohorts with CONALEP or STPS presence, we handle compliance with the campus industrial-safety protocol and the CONALEP protocol when applicable. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, time stamp and photo at every checkpoint: dock entry, operations inspection, back-of-house transfer, restocking during recesses, post-event pickup.

Salon L-8 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon L-8 enforces operating rules the merch must respect: no camera phones inside the room during certification exams, no merch with noise or distraction elements, no large backpacks or bags inside the room (technicians leave their gear in the practice room), no POP material carrying competitor logos to the destination OEM, no outside food or beverages beyond the campus catering service. For cohorts that require limited-edition merchandising (numbered anniversary polo, tool engraved with the year, paperweight stamped with certification date), we coordinate with campus operations to ensure the piece clears the industrial-safety protocol, the IMMEX compliance protocol and the traceability protocol when the cohort requires serial-number inventory control of the merch.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as technical training expense, IMMEX operations expense or International Client Relations expense depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations or US exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD with USMCA compliance support when the merch crosses the border as part of the compliance material for the destination OEM instructor. For plants with dual listings (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq), we handle bilingual (es/en) invoicing and USMCA compliance when the technician kit crosses the border as part of the compliance material for the instructor resident abroad. Merch is delivered with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.

Salon L-8 frequently asked questions

Can you deliver the technician kit with a per-cohort signature of receipt?

Yes — we deliver the kit with per-cohort acknowledgement (not per individual technician), with instructor or training manager signature, delivery time and uniformed delivery staff signature. The chain of custody is documented with photo when the campus protocol allows, and the kit is kept in a sealed envelope for the entire day for return at cohort close.

Can you handle merch for cohorts that repeat every semester?

Yes — we run semester programming with the same brand manual, scaling the run size based on the cohort agenda and the special guests (international instructor, IMMEX auditors, CONALEP observers). Coordination with training for the editorial curation of the technician kit.

Can you invoice the merch as technical training expense?

Yes — we issue CFDI 4.0 to the SAT with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as technical training expense, IMMEX operations expense or International Client Relations expense depending on how the merch is used. For plants with IMMEX operations, we handle complementary invoicing in USD with the foreign trade complement and USMCA compliance.
