Salón J-8 Corp — merchandising for automotive and manufacturing trade shows in Puebla

Puebla hosts North America's oldest automotive plant and the Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier corridor that feeds it. We produce the merchandising with the just-in-time cadence that industry demands, label it with part numbers when the client requires it and deliver to Salón J-8 with the fiscal paperwork ready for your in-house customs team.

Why Puebla runs its own supply logic

The Puebla Convention Center —on Calle 2 Norte 4, Centro Histórico, with additional access through the Angelópolis area— operates as the main venue for automotive-sector trade shows, industrial-supply fairs, advanced-manufacturing conventions and e-mobility summits. The city concentrates the Volkswagen plant in Cuautlancingo, the Audi plant in San José Chiapa, and more than two hundred Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers installed across the Puebla–Tlaxcala corridor.

Salón J-8 inside the complex accommodates large-format booths with capacity up to seven hundred guests, ideal for procurement trade shows and OEM launches. Here the technical visitor arrives from the plant with a checklist, a closed appointment agenda and little time: the merchandising must be useful, easy to carry and, crucially, consistent with the exhibitor's brand guide. No "generic merchandise" in a Tier 1 supplier booth.

Corp-Merch operates in Puebla with a partner workshop in San Pedro Cholula and a supplier network across Cuautlancingo, Huejotzingo and San Martín Texmelucan. For IMMEX clients we manage the flow under the Returnable Container mechanism when goods are samples or trade-show giveaways. If production comes from the United States or Canada we regularise through AICM customs or through Nuevo Laredo and process USMCA compliance to keep tariff preference. We issue CFDI 4.0 with the option to invoice in USD under the service-export regime when delivery crosses the border.

Merchandising services we deliver to Salón J-8

Apparel with part-number labelling

Polo tees, jackets and vests with logo embroidery and, optionally, supplier part code or programme serial number. Labelling is useful when the merchandise goes to the plant and integrates into the client's technical-team uniform.

Industrial-grade gifts

Compact multimeters, tape measures with metric and imperial scales, precision screwdriver sets, rechargeable COB flashlights. Each unit passes functional quality control before leaving the distribution centre.

PPE kits for booths running demos

Goggles, earplugs, impact-resistant gloves and protective sleeves with the exhibitor logo. They meet NOM-017-STPS-2008 and are individually packed in sealed bags.

Materials for Tier 1/Tier 2 appointments

Waterproof folders for plant visits, bilingual letterhead notepads, metallic roller pens, business-card envelopes. Built for one-to-one sessions with Volkswagen, Audi and regional supplier technical buyers.

Production, customs and delivery to J-8

The brief for a Puebla event usually arrives with a strong industrial component. The visitor is a plant engineer, supplier buyer or OEM representative and the merchandising must respond to that profile. That is why our creative process starts with a curation where we cross the client's product list with the technical visitor profile, instead of assuming that a generic souvenir works.

For IMMEX clients we manage three routes. The first is local production at our San Pedro Cholula workshop with direct delivery to the venue loading bay, no pedimento. The second is production in the rest of Mexico crossing through AICM customs when the goods travel overland from CDMX. The third is production in Asia with entry through Veracruz or Manzanillo and a temporary or definitive import pedimento depending on the final destination of the goods.

For goods manufactured in the United States or Canada crossing through the northern border we regularise through pedimento at the corresponding customs office and process USMCA compliance with the certificate of origin to keep tariff preference. Each route is documented with CFDI 4.0, pedimento when applicable and an inventory report signed by your floor coordinator. If the goods stay at the client's plant at the end we regularise the temporary operation into definitive so your fiscal balance stays clean.

Suggested planning timeline

  1. Seven weeks out: creative brief, technical curation of gifts and brand-guide review.
  2. Five weeks out: physical prototype, NOM-compliance validation where applicable and signed contract with deposit.
  3. Three weeks out: finished production, functional test per line and individual pack per recipient.
  4. Show week: overnight delivery to the Convention Center west loading bay, verification with the coordinator and documented collection.

Frequently asked questions

No. Corp-Merch is an independent corporate-merchandising supplier. We have no sponsorship, exclusivity or formal alliance with the venue; our work is with the exhibitor that rents the booth.

Can you handle part-number labelling?

Yes. For automotive and advanced-manufacturing clients we label pieces with part code, programme serial number or client internal reference. It is a regular service in operations with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.

Do you handle pedimento at AICM or Nuevo Laredo customs?

Yes. We regularise temporary imports under the Returnable Container mechanism when applicable, or definitive imports with USMCA compliance when goods come from North America. For IMMEX clients with an authorised programme delivery operates VAT-free.
