Hall i-9 Corp — tourism-fair merch at Cancún Convention Center

Cancún hosts the most demanding tourism-fair calendar in Mexico: Tianguis Turístico, IBTM Americas, hotel expos and destination events. The merchandise reaches the Caribbean by air or sea —and has to survive salt air, tropical heat and a tight agenda.

Cancún as the international tourism square

The Cancún Convention Center runs as the venue for the country's most important tourism events. Tianguis Turístico, IBTM Americas, ASUR's calendar of fairs, hotel and hospitality congresses, international hotel-chain launches and European and Asian buyer missions. The audience combines tour operators, travel agents, hotel chains, competing destinations and travel press. The temperature, humidity and Caribbean atmosphere force you to think of merchandise as a piece that ends up in the buyer's suitcase and back at their office.

Corp-Merch operates with destination logic. When a destination, a hotel chain or a tour operator presents in Cancún, the merchandise has to breathe the brand without competing with the scenery. We produce light textiles, packaging that handles the climate change between hall and beach, and pieces with sustainable materials that support the social-responsibility programs many hotel chains already report. When the client asks for regional manufacturing, we work with partner workshops in Quintana Roo and Yucatán that know the rhythm of hospitality.

On the logistics side, Cancún forces you to think ahead: the window between brief and event narrows because of flights. We ship by air from our central warehouse when the calendar is tight, and by sea to the port of Punta Venado when the volume justifies it. For samples of destination beverages or foods, we manage the entry with SENASICA and COFEPRIS compliance and the foreign trade complement in CFDI 4.0 when applicable.

Production and delivery in Cancún

For pieces requiring regional manufacturing, we work with partner workshops in Quintana Roo and Yucatán, supervised by our quality team, and deliver straight to the convention center. For pieces produced in central Mexico, we consolidate at our central warehouse and ship by air when the calendar is tight, or by sea to Punta Venado when volume and timelines allow. Each shipment is labeled by day and event module so the operations team doesn't lose time on distribution.

On the regulatory side, food or beverage samples on display must comply with federal sanitary regulation; when the client brings products from abroad, we manage the pedimento and SENASICA and COFEPRIS compliance. When the destination or hotel chain reports sustainability indicators, we attach material technical sheets and recyclability declarations for your audit.

Suggested timeline

  1. Seven weeks out: brief considering tropical heat and humidity, palette aligned to the destination's brand book, sustainable material validation.
  2. Five weeks out: physical prototype signed off by your brand team, contract with deposit, production calendar locked.
  3. Three weeks out: production complete at regional or central workshop, batch quality control, individual packaging labeled with the exhibitor.
  4. Event week: consolidated air or sea shipping, delivery to the convention center, module supervision per calendar.
