Salon G-13: the industrial warehouse where IMMEX procurement closes contracts and the merch carries the part number from the printer
Salon G-13 occupies a converted industrial warehouse in the Vallejo-Azcapotzalco industrial corridor, 800 metres from the Ferreria metro station. It is a 500-square-metre double-height (9-metre) space with reinforced concrete floor to display machinery, two loading docks with levelled ramp, a 60-attendee conference room with a 6-metre LED screen, a 5-ton freight elevator with restricted hours, and a freight dock accepting 30-ton trailers. Inside these walls the IMMEX manufacturing associations have staged industrial expos to show the Bajio and northern Mexico plant capacity to international buyers, the CANACINTRA and CONCAMIN clusters have run procurement seminars presenting the new certified suppliers, the automotive and aerospace component manufacturers have held demo days, the CDMX and Queretaro additive manufacturing hubs have run manufacturing fairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, and the certification bodies (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100) have offered training days to plant technical staff. What separates Salon G-13 from a comparable industrial hall is that the merch carries the part number from the printer to enter the plant with the first production batch.
