Salon B-6: the room where the CEO presents quarterly results to 4,000 employees in Mexico City and 12,000 on streaming
Salon B-6 is the principal hall of the internal corporate auditorium inside the corporate offices on the west side of Mexico City: 600 raked theatre seats with presidium table, lectern for eight executive committee members (CEO, COO, CFO, CHRO, CMO, CIO, CTO, CLO), 12-metre LED display with multi-screen presentation system, table microphone audio system and hand microphones for audience questions, real-time interactive voting system (questions are filtered and prioritised by vote count), corporate streaming platform for broadcast to the 12,000 screens of employees in Mexico, the US, Europe and Asia (Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or proprietary platform), adjacent waiting room for VIP employees and board members, internal press room for internal communications channels (intranet, internal bulletin, internal podcast, internal newsletter), foyer for coffee break overlooking an interior garden. This is where quarterly CEO town halls with all corporate employees run (in-room plus streaming to regional offices), annual town halls with the next fiscal year strategy presentation, extraordinary town halls announcing major operations (acquisitions, joint ventures, expansions, layoffs, restructurings), year-end town halls with the celebration and outstanding employee recognition, kickoff town halls with the new fiscal year priorities, CHRO communications sessions presenting new benefits and wellness programs. Monthly CEO feedback sessions where the CEO answers filtered employee questions also run here, quarterly COO updates presenting operational KPIs, and semi-annual CHRO sessions presenting the organisational climate survey. What separates Salon B-6 from a generic auditorium is the internal communications chain: the employee kit must arrive at the auditorium entrance with the corporate ID and area badge, the streaming must be available for remote employees with clean audio and no latency, and the merch must be delivered in a sealed envelope to employees who cannot attend in person so they receive the same recognition as those who do.
