Breakout Auditorium — where the technical conversation that the main keynote wouldn't open actually happens
The Breakout Auditorium is the Main Auditorium's parallel room, capacity 250 to 500 in theatre format, 180 to 320 in classroom format, and 140 to 220 in round-table format. What distinguishes the Breakout Auditorium is not its size (materially smaller than the Main Auditorium) or its equipment (it typically shares the lighting and audio desk with the Main Auditorium), but its function: technical workshops run here, regulatory sessions run here, frank discussion panels where a COO pushes back on the CEO live run here, Q&A sessions with the keynote speaker run here, and breakouts where the corporate supply chain's future is decided run here. Simultaneous broadcasts with English or Portuguese translation for international delegates also run here, and closed sessions for compliance or ethics committee members when dealing with an industrial group with IMMEX operations. The merch in the Breakout Auditorium solves different problems from the Main Auditorium: shorter runs, more editorial curation, synchronisation with the session moment (not the keynote), and confidentiality protocol compliance for closed sessions.

The Breakout Auditorium shares load-in logistics with the Main Auditorium when they are in the same convention centre: two load-in accesses with hours of 6:00 to 22:00 for the main access and 8:00 to 20:00 for the secondary access. When the Breakout Auditorium is in a separate building (alternate venue, five-star hotel adjacent to the convention centre), it operates with an independent load-in access and a shorter mounting window (4 to 8 hours before the session). Breakout Auditorium operations staff audit every merch box with metal detector and visual inspection.
For sessions with simultaneous translation into English, Portuguese or French, we coordinate with the Breakout Auditorium's translation provider (usually the same as the Main Auditorium) and adapt the merch to bilingual format: instructions in two languages, labels in two languages, kits for international delegates with current adapter and plug. For regulatory sessions with COFEPRIS, CNBV or SAT presence, we comply with the authority's protocol and the corporate's protocol, with discreet pieces and load-in logistics during restricted hours. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, time, and (where the Breakout Auditorium protocol allows) discreet photography at each control point: load-in entry, inspection by operations staff, transfer to back-of-house, restocking during the session, post-session collection.
For sessions attended by international delegates from countries with USMCA or IMMEX operations, we provide complementary invoicing in USD at the Banco de México rate of the day before the event and customs support when the merch crosses the border as part of the hospitality kit. For corporates with IMMEX or US invoicing, we provide complementary SAT invoicing with 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Training or Public Relations expense.
Breakout Auditorium compliance, prohibitions and permits
The Breakout Auditorium has operating rules similar to the Main Auditorium: no pyrotechnics, no merch with sharp edges, no pets, no food or beverage outside the Breakout Auditorium catering service, no personal lighting devices that interfere with other attendees' experience. For closed sessions (compliance committee, ethics committee, expanded board), we comply with the Breakout Auditorium and corporate confidentiality protocol, with pieces delivered in sealed envelope and mandatory collection at session end.
For sessions broadcast to industrial group plants, we comply with the corporate broadcast protocol with screen-visible and broadcast-hidden pieces. For sessions with media coverage (post-panel press conference, speaker Q&A session), we comply with the corporate and Breakout Auditorium press protocol, with pieces delivered in the Main Auditorium press room and not in the Breakout Auditorium, to avoid interrupting the session.
For SAT invoicing, we issue CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Training, Public Relations, or Marketing expense, depending on the merch use. For corporates with IMMEX or US operations, we provide complementary invoicing in USD or EUR and USMCA support when the merch crosses the border. The merch is delivered with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with foreign trade complement when applicable, and with payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
