Incentive travel merch and reward-trip kits in Mexico
Resort welcome kits, premium executive gifts, recognition awards for the top performers travelling on the spouse-inclusive reward trip at Mexican incentive destinations — Cancún and Riviera Maya (Zona Hotelera, Moon Palace, Cancun ICC, Fairmont Mayakoba, Atelier Playa Mujeres), Los Cabos (Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, One&Only Palmilla, Esperanza, Las Ventanas al Paraíso), Puerto Vallarta (Garza Blanca, Casa Velas, Hyatt Ziva), Punta Mita (Four Seasons, St. Regis), Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Huatulco, and the new wellness entrants in Bacalar and Holbox. We work with corporate clients and with the incentive houses (Maritz, BCD Meetings, Hello! Destination Management, Experiencias Xcaret, Amstar DMC).
Mexican reward travel runs to its own choreography
The Mexican incentive-trip program operates differently from the US or European equivalent. Here the prize is frequently spouse-inclusive (partner travels too, not just the qualifier), with an airline partner (Viva Aerobus, Volaris, Aeroméxico, Magnicharters) blocking rooms on an all-inclusive plan, and with an activity program that goes beyond the welcome cocktail — Cozumel diving trips, Banderas Bay yacht outings, private dinners at Baja vineyards, private Tulum house dinners.
Corp-Merch Mexico has been producing merch for incentive programs since 2017. We work with the client's variable-comp and recognition team, with the DMC running the destination event, and with the hotel property hosting the group. The typical chain: the client identifies the qualifier (top 5% of the sales force, top 10 managers, top channel partners); the DMC blocks the rooms and builds the itinerary; we deliver welcome kits to the qualifier's room on arrival night, gala-night gifts, spouse gifts, and the absolute top-performer premium gift (double trip, suite upgrade, annual car where applicable).
Programs we run for incentive travel
Resort welcome kit in the room
Wooden box engraved with the qualifier's name and the program (e.g. "President's Club 2026 — 5 consecutive years"), Havaianas-style sandal with embroidered logo, palm hat personalised, guayabera or linen shirt with program embroidery, engraved thermal tumbler, CEO welcome card with the assigned suite number, travel journal with roller pen. Per-program runs of 50–1,500 kits delivered to the resort 24–48 hours before the group's check-in.
Gala-dinner and recognition gifts
For the program's gala dinner (the awards night when the top performer of the year is announced): engraved crystalware, Taxco silver pieces, premium tequila in a wooden box with serial number, custom-jewellery pieces with program-exclusive design (earrings for the spouse, cufflinks for the qualifier). Per-gala runs of 30–800 pieces in individual gift boxes with personalised ribbon.
Spouse and family-inclusive kits
When the program is spouse-inclusive the welcome kit is duplicated for the partner with unisex or gender-targeted products: beach tote with embroidered towel, premium personal-care set, spa set, snorkel kit personalised, excursion kit with light backpack. For family-inclusive programs (with kids) we add a child kit: small backpack, t-shirt, game kit, destination-themed colouring book. Per-program runs of 30–500 pieces with packaging by age and gender.
Farewell gifts and post-trip follow-up
On check-out day each qualifier receives a wooden box with a local product from the destination: Baja California wine, Jalisco tequila, Oaxaca mezcal, Chiapas coffee, Tabasco cacao, dehydrated Sinaloa mango. The box is delivered to the hotel lobby or shipped to the qualifier's address in Mexico or LATAM. Per-program runs of 50–1,500 pieces with tracked follow-up up to 6 weeks after the event.
Destination logistics and DMC coordination
Destination logistics get complicated because the resort receives the group in waves and the room has to carry the kit before the qualifier arrives. We coordinate with the DMC and the hotel property for: warehouse delivery 24–48 hours before group check-in, room placement by the resort housekeeping team when the client prefers it, airport delivery when the program includes group transfer, or yacht/catamaran delivery when the welcome cocktail runs out at sea.
The CFDI 4.0 is issued to the Mexican client with 16% VAT broken out (when the client deducts the program as variable-comp opex), or to the foreign client with an export invoice without VAT (when the paying corporate is a US, Canadian or European parent). For programs that cross the border with a final stop in Punta Cana, Cartagena or Punta del Este we issue the comercio exterior complement and Carta Porte 3.0 for transport to the destination.
Pricing, MOQ and lead times — incentive travel
Pricing in MXN excluding VAT. 16% VAT broken out on CFDI 4.0 with USO CFDI G03 (general expenses) when the client deducts the program as variable-comp opex. MOQ from 30 pieces for the standard welcome kit, 15 for the gala gift, 10 for the top-performer gift, 25 for the spouse-inclusive kit. Per-program runs of 100 pieces and above unlock tier discounts. Lead times: 5–8 weeks for premium welcome kits with custom product (embroidered sandal, linen shirt, program-engraved tequila), 3–4 weeks for crystal or silver gala gifts, 7–10 working days for farewell gifts with local product.
When the corporate client asks for an "all-inclusive at destination" experience, we bundle kits + gifts + experience into a single invoice with per-line breakdown. This simplifies the comp team's admin load and lets the client benchmark cost per qualifier directly against the sector norm (typically USD 3,500–12,000 per spouse-inclusive qualifier at a domestic destination).
FAQ — incentive travel merch
Do you deliver welcome kits directly to the resort?
Yes — we deliver to the resort warehouse 24–48 hours before the group's check-in, with a delivery guide and confirmation from the hotel's banqueting lead. We coordinate with Moon Palace, Fairmont Mayakoba, Atelier Playa Mujeres, One&Only Palmilla, Esperanza, Las Ventanas, Garza Blanca, Casa Velas, Hyatt Ziva, Four Seasons Punta Mita, St. Regis Punta Mita and the rest of the portfolio.
Can you coordinate with our DMC?
Yes — we work with Maritz, BCD Meetings, Hello! Destination Management, Experiencias Xcaret, Amstar DMC, Tropical Incentives and the local DMCs at each destination. We coordinate the delivery timing, the in-room kit placement and the gala-night gifts with the destination DMC team.
Do you handle export invoicing for foreign clients?
Yes — we issue CFDI 4.0 with the "Exportación" key and no VAT when the paying corporate is a foreign parent. This includes the comercio exterior complement when the gift crosses the border, and Carta Porte 3.0 when transport to the destination is included.
Do you support spouse-inclusive and family-inclusive programs?
Yes — we duplicate the welcome kit for the partner with unisex or gender-targeted products, and we add a child kit when the program is family-inclusive. We coordinate with the client's HR on group composition and the kids' ages where applicable.
Can you include premium local product from the destination?
Yes — Jalisco tequila, Oaxaca mezcal, Baja California wine, Chiapas coffee, Tabasco cacao, Sinaloa mango, Taxco silver, Puebla talavera. We work with certified local producers and, when the client asks, we issue the donataria complement when the producer is a non-profit association.
Let's plan your next incentive program
If you're building a recognition program with travel to Cancún, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita, Riviera Maya or any Mexican destination — let's talk.
