Tour operator and DMC testimonials

What tour operators, DMCs and receptive agencies say about working with Corp-Merch.MX on welcome kits, institutional souvenirs, travel notebooks and private-label items. All testimonials carry customer authorisation; in some cases the commercial name is omitted per internal communications policy.

Welcome kits for incoming groups

A receptive DMC in Cancún with stable operation in Punta Cana and Havana contracted us in 2023 to produce welcome kits for European groups arriving at the airport. The kit included a recycled cotton backpack with embroidered destination patch, an insulated bottle with laser-engraved operator logo, a leather cardholder, a bilingual quick destination guide and a foldable map with local information. Production ran in four batches through the year to coincide with arrival peaks.

The commercial director commented: "What we value most is the consistency between batches. Our guides noticed that every traveller received exactly what was promised, with the same quality and no shortages. In the tourism sector the first impression is what counts, and the welcome kit is the tangible first impression of the destination." The project was renewed for 2024 and 2025 with extensions to Holbox and Isla Mujeres.

Souvenirs and private label for boutique hotels

A boutique hotel group with properties in Tulum, Bacalar and Valladolid was looking to develop a private-label souvenir line to sell at their shops and offer to hosted groups. We worked with their brand team on six items: tote bag, palm hat, ceramic mug, black clay mug, handcrafted packaged soap and vegetable wax candle with copal scent. Each item carried the hotel brand and, in some cases, a numbered piece for limited editions.

The brand manager commented: "We found a workshop that understood that the tourism souvenir is not only decoration: it has to survive the guest's trip in the return luggage, hold the colour of the soap in the suitcase for weeks, maintain the candle fragrance without losing intensity. The quality was consistent and deadlines were met even in high season." The project was extended to four more hotels in the group in 2025.

Merch for cruises and coastal navigation

A coastal navigation operator based in Puerto Aventuras was looking to produce institutional merch for the vessels covering the Cozumel — Playa del Carmen — Tulum route. The order included embroidered caps with adjustable closure, quick-dry technical shirts for crew, waterproof jackets with hood and USB drives with engraved snorkeling guide. Delivery ran in three windows to align with the cruise season.

The operations manager commented: "The technical shirts perform very well with the sun, the salt and the intensive use by crew. The embroidered caps held up for over a year of daily use without losing colour. The USB drives with the snorkeling guide were a very well received detail by guests who repeated the activity during the week." The operator renewed for 2024 and added waterproof pads for on-board logs.

Corporate agreements with travel agencies

A corporate travel agency based in CDMX with offices in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Puebla was looking to produce travel kits for their VIP customers — executives who travel more than six times a year. The kit included a canvas toiletry bag with zipper, embroidered silk eye mask, foldable slippers, universal adapter, noise-cancelling headphones and a welcome card from the account manager. The design was minimalist, with discreet embossed branding.

The experience director commented: "The VIP kit stopped being an object and became a brand moment. Our customers write to us thanking for the detail, and many repeat the order when changing destination. The quality was the factor the end customer highlighted most — the toiletry bag finish, the adapter weight, the eye mask texture. We produce again with Corp-Merch.MX every year."

Events, fairs and fam trips

A tour operator with presence in Tianguis Turístico, DATE (Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange) and WTM Latin America contracted us to produce merch for their stands at these fairs during 2024. The exhibitor kit included a backpack with laptop compartment, an insulated bottle, a notebook with fabric cover, a bamboo pen and a leather cardholder with laser engraving. For the post-fair fam trip a richer kit was assembled with jute sandals, palm hat, hydration and destination guide.

The commercial director commented: "At tourism fairs merch has to work as a sales tool, not as a souvenir. We need the exhibitor to use it during the three days of the event, that it survives the round trip, and that the customer who receives it remembers us when planning their next trip. The durability was exactly what we asked for." The contract was renewed for 2025 and extended to bags with recycled material.

Working with field guides and operations staff

An adventure tour operator based in Bacalar with tours to Calakmul, Celestún and the Yucatán reserves was looking to produce uniforms for their field guides — over thirty people including bilingual guides, boat captain, group coordinator and camp kitchen staff. The production included quick-dry polo shirt, convertible pants with water repellency, cap with adjustable strap, hydration backpack and light jacket with embroidered logo.

The operations manager commented: "Guides wear the uniform five days a week, in jungles, cenotes and boats. We needed a uniform that would withstand heavy work, dry fast and not look worn out after six months of use. The quality was consistent and guides were proud to wear it. Sizing was handled very well — zero returns for wrong size across a thirty-person operation." The project was renewed for 2025.
