Custom Thermal Tumblers for Field, Office and Year-End Gifting

The double-wall vacuum tumbler is the natural upgrade from the corporate mug when the recipient is on the move — field technicians at refineries, sales teams on the road, logistics operators at distribution centres. 304 food-grade stainless steel, vacuum chamber between two walls, slide closure or integrated straw lid, 12 to 30 oz capacity. Holds hot drinks for 8 to 12 hours and cold drinks for 18 to 24 hours. Powder-coat finish in corporate colour, laser-engraved logo or full-wrap UV print. Made in our Mexican production line at Yeti-and-RTIC equivalent finishing.

Why double-wall vacuum matters

The difference between a single-wall steel tumbler and a double-wall vacuum one is the difference between a vessel that feels warm to the touch and one that feels at room temperature. The vacuum chamber between the two walls eliminates thermal conduction, which keeps the liquid at its original temperature for longer and eliminates the external condensation that ruins desks and folders. This is the technology Yeti, RTIC, Stanley, Thermos and Hydro Flask use — and what we run at Mexican production economics.

304 stainless is the food-industry standard — 18 percent chromium and 8 percent nickel make it resistant to corrosion, impact and industrial wash cycles. For clients with ESG policy we run post-consumer recycled steel with SCS Recycled Content certification; recycled content runs 50 to 90 percent depending on mill availability. The lid is BPA-free polypropylene with silicone seal, FDA and LFGB approved for food contact. The straw, when included, is also 304 stainless, not plastic, to avoid phthalate migration into hot drinks.

Capacities and formats

We run six capacities as mould inventory: 12 oz (350 ml) which is double-espresso or short cold brew, 16 oz (470 ml) which is the standard American medium coffee, 20 oz (590 ml) which is the large tumbler, 24 oz (710 ml) which is the smoothie and frappé size, 30 oz (880 ml) which is the outdoor and extended-hydration size, and 40 oz (1.2 L) which is the prolonged-field-work size. Shape can be straight or tapered (slightly conical at the base for better grip), with a standard base that fits automotive cup holders and an optional handle on 20 oz and larger versions.

For field programs in energy, mining and construction, the handled versions are the most requested because they clip to backpacks and carabiners. For office and hospitality programs, the tapered handle-less version is standard. Base colours in inventory are matte black, matte white, polished steel, navy blue, graphite grey, military green, coral red and sand. For exact corporate colours, powder coating is done on request with a 200-piece minimum per colour and an extended lead time of 7 to 10 additional working days. Laser engraving works on all colours; dark colours deliver a mirror effect against the steel, light colours deliver a frost engraving against the powder coat.

Decoration: laser engraving and powder coating

Laser engraving is our dominant technique. A 30W fibre laser traces the logo directly onto the steel, removing the powder coating in the design area and exposing the polished steel underneath. This creates a permanent contrast that does not wash off with use or dishwasher cycles — unlike UV print or screen print, which can peel over time. For premium programs we run deep-relief engraving that adds tactile dimension to the logo. Art setup is quoted separately and amortises through the whole series.

Full-wrap UV print covers the entire tumbler surface with full-colour graphics — useful for runs with photography, complex illustrations or BTL campaigns where the brand wants maximum visual impact. UV ink cures under ultraviolet light immediately after printing, creating a durable finish that survives the dishwasher. Kiln-fired ceramic screen print enters for runs with corporate Pantone colours on polished steel without powder coat — useful for premium runs where the client wants the steel shine as part of the visual language. For runs with combined lid and tumbler, the logo replicates on both components to maintain consistency.

Programs where thermal tumblers end up

Thermal tumblers are the most transversal merch piece we run. In corporate settings they are the year-end gift delivered to 500–5,000 employees with engraved logo and program name. In field operations — energy, mining, construction, agriculture — they are part of the daily uniform because they keep water cold in the Sonoran desert heat or coffee hot in the sierra. In hospitality and tourism, boutique hotels and resorts deliver them as a guest welcome or as a souvenir at corporate retreats. In fitness and wellness they are part of the welcome kit for new gym members.

For export to the United States under USMCA, we run the Complemento de Comercio Exterior 2.0 with pedimento number and preference declaration. Tumblers cross via Laredo and McAllen with a steel-specialised freight forwarder. IVA on export operations is 0 percent, with right to acreditamiento for the client when the operation is triangular. For clients with IMMEX operations we can deliver the tumbler as a temporary import input for assembly in kits that are then exported, optimising IVA. In runs destined for BTL programs — beer, soft drinks and spirits campaigns — tumblers go in welcome kits or as point-of-sale gifting, with runs of 5,000 to 50,000 units per campaign.
