Why the trade-show delegate bag is not complete without a lanyard
The lanyard is the highest-volume corporate-merch piece in the Mexican trade-show circuit. Every Centro Citibanamex, WTC CDMX, Expo Guadalajara, CintermEX and Centro de Convenciones de Veracruz delegate wears a lanyard for the duration of the show, and the lanyard becomes a daily-use artefact for 12 to 36 months after the show. A 1,000-delegate show requires 1,000 lanyards; a 5,000-delegate show requires 5,000. The combined Centro Citibanamex and WTC CDMX annual calendar consumes more than 200,000 lanyards.
The Mexican lanyard industry concentrates in Estado de México, Jalisco and CDMX. The polyester yarn is sourced from Mexican and Asian converters; the dye-sublimation and screen-print lines run in Estado de México; the cut, sew and badge-holder attachment runs in the same plants. The Mexican-made lanyard ships within 7–14 days from artwork approval; the Asian-sourced alternative adds 21–28 days for sea freight and is uneconomic for time-sensitive programs.

Badge holders, hardware and accessories
Badge holders come in three formats: rigid vinyl (the standard trade-show format), leather (the executive-kit upgrade) and recycled-PET (the ESG-program upgrade). The rigid vinyl holder accepts a 105 × 148 mm A6 insert or a 100 × 140 mm custom insert; the leather holder accepts the same insert with a hot-stamped corporate logo. The RFID-blocking badge holder is the premium upgrade for programs that handle sensitive credentials (financial-services conferences, government IDs, healthcare credentials).
Hardware options: lobster-claw clasp (the standard), alligator clip (the badge-attachment upgrade), carabiner (the outdoor-program upgrade), breakaway safety clasp (the safety-critical environment upgrade, mandatory for plant-floor programs at GM Ramos Arizpe and the Stellantis Saltillo plant). All hardware is nickel-plated steel; black and gold-plated finishes are available at a small premium.
Retractable reels (the badge-pull reels that extend the badge from the lanyard for swipe-card access) are the premium upgrade for programs that combine a lanyard with a corporate-access credential. The reel is nickel-plated steel with a 60cm cable; the lanyard attaches to the reel loop and the badge attaches to the reel clip.

FAQ — branded lanyards in Mexico
What lanyard works for a Centro Citibanamex congress with 1,000 attendees?
Polyester lanyard, 15mm width, dye-sublimation full-colour print, with breakaway safety clasp and rigid vinyl badge holder. Run of 1,000 + 5% spares, lead time 7–10 days. Delivered to the venue loading dock on the setup day.
Do you include the NOM-050 environmental claim documentation?
Yes — every recycled-PET lanyard carries the NOM-050 third-party chain-of-custody document. The standard polyester line carries LFPCA compliance documentation.
Can you ship USMCA-documented lanyards to Laredo?
Yes — we file the USMCA supplier declaration and the preference criterion statement on every cross-border drop. The same lanyards that walk out of an Estado de México plant for a US brand event do not require re-invoicing in the US when the preference criterion is met.
What is the minimum order?
100 units for polyester; 250 units for tubular, woven and recycled-PET. For brand-led campaigns we ship a single decorated sample to your oficina before full production begins.
How long does production take?
7–10 days for polyester and tubular; 10–14 days for woven and recycled-PET. Rush at 5–7 days carries a +35% surcharge.
Corp-Merch Mexico is an independent supplier of branded merchandise. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or an official partner of any brand, OEM, dealer network, trade association or event organiser named on this page. NOM-050 environmental labelling references are illustrative of the documentation we provide on qualifying programs; they do not constitute third-party endorsement.
We do not sell lanyards retail, generic event badges, or visitor-management systems to the general public. We do not work on consumer-facing projects that require PROFECO approvals or consumer-warranty registration beyond the LFPCA documentation we already provide on the corporate-gift program. Our scope is the corporate merch, uniform and gift program for businesses operating under CFDI 4.0 with corporate purchase orders.
