Public listing — kits for IPO, stock exchange debut and bell ceremony on BMV and BIVA
Structured merch program for IPO, public offering and listing on Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) or Bolsa Institucional de Valores (BIVA): kits for IPO committee, lead underwriters and syndicate, institutional investors, financial press and key employees. Covers CNBV compliance, LFPDPPP, gift tax treatment and per-recipient traceability.
When to activate this playbook
The public listing is the moment of maximum public exposure for a company. The bell ceremony, the placement prospectus, the roadshows with investors, the breakfasts with analysts, the lunches with financial press, the team appreciation events and the employee meeting form a calendar of compressed events in a three-to-six-month window where each audience receives a distinct message. Merch at this moment plays three critical roles: communicate solidity and permanence (because the company is telling the market it will operate for many years), recognize those who made the operation possible (internal team, external advisors, underwriters), and leave memorable trace of the historic moment for employees and investors.
This playbook applies to companies in IPO or listing process in Mexico: issuers listing on Bolsa Mexicana de Valores or Bolsa Institucional de Valores, companies migrating from the International Quotation System to direct listing, FIBRAs and trusts going to public offering, companies making listed bond issuances, and SPACs or special purpose vehicles listing in Mexico. It also applies to Latin American companies listing on BMV through dual listing with NYSE, NASDAQ or LSE, and for companies doing private placement in institutional markets regulated by CNBV.
The typical program recipient is very specific. Internal IPO team: CFO, corporate finance director, regulatory controller, securities legal director, IR officer, investor relations team, internal and external communications team. External advisors: lead underwriter bank, syndicate banks, issuer counsel, underwriter counsel, external auditors (typically Big Four), financial communications agency, prospectus design agency. Subscribers and institutional investors: pension fund administrators (Afores), asset managers, mutual funds, family offices, institutional portfolio managers. Financial press: reporters and editors from El Financiero, El Economista, Expansión, Forbes México, Bloomberg Línea, Reuters, Cinco Días, El País México, América Retail, Mundo Ejecutivo, Inversión y Dinero. Key employees: management team, senior managers, staff with post-IPO vesting.
Listing regulatory compliance is rigorous. The Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV) regulates all public documentation of the process, including the placement prospectus, the annexes and any communication with investors. The Securities Market Law requires maintaining fair disclosure to the market: any investor communication must be coordinated with IR and validated with securities legal. LFPDPPP applies to data handling for employees and investors receiving recognition. SAT participates with CFDI 4.0 when kits are invoiced to client corporate. The General Law on Administrative Responsibilities can be triggered when a recipient is a public official in office.
Audience tiers by involvement level
We handle five typical audiences in the IPO program. Internal IPO team (CFO, IR officer, securities legal, regulatory controller): premium kit with signature piece for the moment (watch or smartwatch engraved with date and ticker, curated branded pen, premium notebook with logo and listing date, leather office set), rigid wooden packaging with ticker embossing, personalized card with CEO and CFO signature, and acknowledgment letter from board of directors. External advisors (underwriter bank, counsel, auditors, communications agency): premium kit with signature piece of the operation (wooden box with ticker embossing, curated desk set, engraved mug and thermos, curated wine or spirit with personalized label), rigid packaging, card with CEO and CFO signature. Subscribers and institutional investors: recognition kit with signature piece (premium thermos, hand-stitched notebook, engraved pen, compact device from the company's product or service), rigid cardboard packaging with magnet, card with ticker and IR officer acknowledgment. Financial press: editorial kit with signature piece, IPO dossier, following-year financial calendar, access code to IR exclusive material. Key employees with vesting: continuity kit with useful pieces and reinforcement of new shareholder condition (technical backpack, office kit, wellness platform subscription, CEO letter acknowledging effort).
We additionally operate kits for the bell ceremony at BMV or BIVA: bell-ringer kit (t-shirt with ticker and date, cap, thermos, official badge), protocol staff kit (sober attire, discreet badge, hand notebook), communications team kit (technical t-shirt, cap, badge, lightweight backpack). These kits are delivered to the company team during setup and are critical for the ceremony to be broadcast with consistent and professional image.
