Digital-launch — merch for digital product release
Physical merch program to accompany a digital product launch: pre-launch kits for early adopters, day-zero giveaways, webinar and demo pieces, post-launch follow-up for active users. 30-45 day operation with delivery synchronised to the go-to-market calendar.
When to use this playbook
Launching a digital product — B2B SaaS, mobile app, e-commerce platform, fintech, marketplace, edtech, healthtech, a major version of an existing product, a significant integration, a new API, a new product region — typically happens on a tight four-to-six-week calendar with multiple audiences (early adopters, press, analysts, partners, current customers, qualified prospects). Physical merch serves as a tangible anchor for the moment and amplifies brand recall in a context where attention competes with hundreds of other digital launches in the same week.
This playbook applies to Spanish-speaking and Mexican B2B SaaS companies launching product in LATAM, Mexican scaleups entering a new vertical, fintechs with new product (digital account, credit card, investment, crypto, neobank), regional marketplaces opening a new category, edtech platforms launching a course or cohort, healthtech platforms launching a service, and traditional corporates launching an internal or external digital initiative. It also applies to product launches by services companies (consulting firms, creative agencies, technology consultancies) that need to reinforce the launch with tangible merch.
The playbook assumes you already have a go-to-market plan with tentative dates, defined audiences, webinar and demo calendars, press contact list and early-adopter database. Corp-Merch integrates into the existing calendar to deliver the pieces at the right moments.
Launch audiences
A typical digital launch has five audiences with differentiated kits. Early adopters: pre-launch kit arriving two to four weeks early with exclusive access, branded merch (shirt, thermos, notebook, sticker pack) and CEO letter. Press and analysts: premium press kit on embargo-lift day with signature pieces of the new product. Partners and allies: co-marketing kit with merch that combines own brand with partner brand. Current customers: post-launch merch arriving a week later to thank them and evangelise upgrades. Qualified prospects: merch at demo or webinar for conversion.
Volume per audience depends on launch size: in a large launch (1,000+ early adopters, 100+ journalists, 50+ analysts, 30+ partners, 10,000+ current customers) total volume can exceed 15,000 units. In a mid-sized launch (200-500 early adopters, 30-50 journalists, 15-25 analysts, 10-15 partners, 2,000-5,000 current customers) volume is between 3,000 and 7,000 units. In a small launch (50-100 early adopters, 10-20 journalists, 5-10 analysts, 5 partners, 500-1,000 customers) volume is between 700 and 1,500 units.

Roles and responsibilities
The client brings: the product marketing manager that coordinates the launch, the marketing team that approves message and kits, the communications team that coordinates press and analysts, the sales team that identifies early adopters and qualified prospects, the customer success team that selects current customers for evangelism, finance that approves budget and invoicing, and legal that validates disclosure. Corp-Merch brings: an account executive dedicated to the launch, a project manager that coordinates the four stages, designers familiar with digital launches, fast production, temporary warehouse for press kits, integrated parcel carriers, CFDI 4.0 invoicing and consolidated report.
For recurring launches (quarterly release, monthly feature launch, integration with new partners) we recommend an annual agreement covering X launches at preferential rates and with capacity reservation. This avoids each launch having to go through full procurement and lets the team focus on launch quality.
