Executive and board gifts: presentation pieces for the people who matter
An executive gift is not merch. It is the physical signal that the company attaches to a relationship — a board member's tenure, a visiting delegation's welcome, a strategic partner's milestone, a retiring CEO's tribute. Corp-Merch.MX runs the bespoke production of these pieces: hand-bound leather, optical-crystal or wood presentation, Denomination-of-Origin Mexican products, luxury engraving with calligraphy inserts and a delivery protocol that respects the moment. Each piece is produced in a single run, numbered, and delivered in a presentation case that matches the gift's weight.
Bespoke production at single-piece scale
The executive gift programme is the opposite of high-volume merch. Volumes run from 1 to 50 pieces per order, with each piece carrying an individual name, a tailored message and a presentation case. Production runs at a workshop that specialises in short runs and finishing details — hand-stitched leather, optical-crystal engraving with multi-pass depth, lacquered wood with mother-of-pearl inlay, hand-turned silver pieces from Taxco workshops, hand-painted Talavera plaques from Puebla.
The brief typically arrives as a presentation context: a 10-year board tenure tribute, a visiting European delegation, a strategic supplier in Querétaro, a retiring CEO with 25 years at the helm. We produce a small set of design directions (three or four) and refine the chosen one through two rounds of revision. The production window is 45 to 75 days from approval, depending on the substrate (leather and engraving are faster, lacquer and silverwork slower). The presentation case is custom-built for the piece and includes a typed card, a hand-signed letter and a soft pouch for travel.

Mexican craft, presented with international finish
The most-requested executive gift formats in Mexico combine Mexican craft with international finishing. The market for Mexican-origin luxury has matured substantially — buyers expect the production to compete with Italian leather goods, French crystal and Scottish single malt on quality, while the origin narrative carries weight precisely because the work was done in Mexico. We work with workshops that have crossed that bar: leather goods from León that supply to European houses, crystal from Tonalá that uses traditional mouth-blowing, silverwork from Taxco that exports to Asian luxury houses, lacquerware from Olinalá that has UNESCO recognition.
For multinationals presenting gifts in Mexico to visiting delegations, the Mexico-origin angle is a deliberate strategic choice. The gift signals that the company is rooted in the country, that the relationship with the visitor happens in a Mexican context and that the production supports Mexican craftsmanship. For subsidiaries of European or US groups presenting gifts abroad, the Mexican origin is a differentiator — a leather piece from León that the recipient cannot buy in their home market, presented with a card explaining the workshop and the craftspeople.
Delivery protocol and the presentation moment
An executive gift deserves a presentation that matches its production. We coordinate delivery with the receiving party — the executive's office, the CEO's home, the boardroom, the hotel suite of a visiting delegation. For board meetings we deliver to the venue the morning of the meeting, placed at each seat before the participants arrive. For visiting delegations we coordinate with the protocol office and the security team so the gift clears the security check without opening the presentation case.
For gifts sent abroad (a tribute to a retiring international board member, a presentation to a strategic partner in Europe or Asia), we coordinate international shipping with full export documentation. The CFDI 4.0 carries the comercio exterior complemento for the piece that crosses the border, 16% IVA itemised, and the customs documentation required for the destination country. Insurance covers the full declared value and the courier is selected for reliability over cost when the piece's value warrants it.
FAQ — executive and board gifts
What is the minimum run for a bespoke piece?
Single piece. The executive programme is single-piece production, not series production. We can run series of 5 to 50 pieces when the brief calls for it, but each piece is individually finished.
Can the piece be personalised with initials or coat of arms?
Yes — hot stamping, laser engraving, embroidery, hand-painting. We produce a sample of the personalisation on a swatch before running the final piece.
What is the lead time for a hand-stitched leather portfolio?
45 to 60 days from brief approval. For pieces with silverwork, lacquer or crystal, 60 to 90 days.
Do you handle international shipping?
Yes — we coordinate with couriers that handle high-value declared goods and the customs documentation required for the destination country. Insurance is included.
How is the invoice issued?
CFDI 4.0 with the operation itemised by piece, 16% IVA itemised. For pieces crossing the border, the comercio exterior complemento. For tax-sensitive scenarios (gift vs in-kind compensation) we coordinate with the company's tax area.
Request an executive gift brief
Send us the recipient count, the presentation context (board tribute, visiting delegation, supplier milestone, retirement), the per-piece budget envelope and the delivery preference. We prepare a small set of design directions and a production timeline that respects the presentation date.
