The Mexican winter does not resemble the European or Canadian winter —it does not snow in Mexico City, Guadalajara or Monterrey— but it concentrates the highest density of corporate events of the year. Between 1 and 24 December, the nine traditional posada gatherings run, the statutory aguinaldo is delivered before 20 December under article 87 of the LFT, the year-end party (christmas party) takes place, and the year-end gift is sent to VIP clients, strategic suppliers and commercial partners. Winter programme: four critical events

December posadas — 1 to 24 December

Full production of the corporate posada with traditional Mexican ambient (seven-peaked piñatas, hot ponche with fruit, green and red mole tamales, guava atole, candle lanterns, nochebuena flowers, live villancicos with mariachi or trio), gift for employees and kids' gift for the children. The internal posada normally runs in a single date for the whole corporate, typically the second Friday of December, in the office courtyard or an external venue. We handle production from 80 attendees in boutique corporates to 3,000 attendees in multinationals with national presence.

Aguinaldo — before 20 December

Production of the kit that accompanies the statutory aguinaldo delivery under article 87 of the LFT (minimum 15 days of salary, ISR-free up to 30 days of UMA under article 93 of the LISR): box with premium Mexican wine or mezcal, artisanal chocolates (Mayordomo, Cuna de Piedra, La Casa del Chocolate), gift selected by seniority, personalised CEO card with the corporate's annual balance. Delivery is coordinated with HR and payroll to arrive between 16 and 19 December. Production from 80 to 8,000 pieces with CFDI 4.0 invoicing.

Christmas party — year-end

Production of the year-end party with luxury Christmas ambient (three-metre tree, wreaths, garlands, warm lights), Mexican chef catering with cocktail bar (mezcal, pulque, tequila), live music or DJ, curated gift for employees (Amazon México, Liverpool or El Palacio de Hierro gift card, or premium gift such as Citizen watch, Tumi luggage, art piece), and recognition for employees of the year with engraved plaque. The typical date is the second or third Friday of December. Runs from 100 to 5,000 attendees.

Year-end gift for VIP clients — December

Production of the gift the corporate sends to its key clients, strategic suppliers and commercial partners in December: gourmet basket with premium Mexican products (Mayordomo chocolate, Chiapas coffee, Baja wine, Casa Dragones mezcal, Baja olive oil), premium-plus gift (Longines watch, Montblanc Meisterstück pen, contemporary art piece from a Mexican gallery), personalised CEO letter, premium packaging with corporate ribbon. Delivery is coordinated with premium courier before 20 December. For corporates with US and Canadian clients we handle international shipping with customs documentation.

Logistics, calendar and winter risk hedging

The Mexican winter concentrates the highest number of events of the year in a short period. The posadas window opens 1 December and closes 24 December with Nochebuena. The aguinaldo delivery must be coordinated with the payroll calendar so the kit arrives between 16 and 19 December, one day before the statutory deposit. The year-end party is normally scheduled between the second and third Friday of December, before families leave for vacation. National couriers run at full capacity through December, so kit booking must close before 15 November.

For corporates with northern border operations (Tijuana, Juárez, Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo), the aguinaldo delivery is coordinated with extended hours at the plant to cover the three shifts. The invoice is issued in MXN at the Banco de México daily rate; for US-headquartered corporates we also invoice in USD with daily conversion and USMCA support when the gift ties to regional talent retention. For IMMEX corporates on the border we handle deduction under the IMMEX programme when the gift ties to plant-floor talent retention. The year-end party must be coordinated with Internal Communications to avoid clashes with employees' family events.

Gift curation by occasion and seniority

The winter gift curation is built with the HR committee and Internal Communications, with four distinct lines: posada gift, aguinaldo gift, christmas party gift and VIP client gift. For the posada we run operational gifts from MXN 300 to 1,500: Christmas-motif mug, aromatic candle, Mexican sweets kit (jamón, dulce de leche, mazapán), internal raffle ticket. For the aguinaldo we run gifts from MXN 1,800 to 15,000 per seniority tier: box with premium wine or mezcal, artisanal chocolates, recognition plaque, gift card.

For the christmas party we run gifts from MXN 2,500 to 25,000 per seniority tier: Amazon México, Liverpool or El Palacio de Hierro gift card, Citizen or Casio watch, Tumi luggage, contemporary art piece, fine-dining experience at Pujol, Quintonil or Sud 777. For VIP clients we run gifts from MXN 5,000 to 120,000: Mexican gourmet basket, Longines watch, Montblanc pen, contemporary art piece (Kurimanzutto gallery, Zona Maco), travel luggage. The gift ships with no visible price and is documented with a personalised CEO letter.

Posada kit — from MXN 380 before VAT per piece on a 100-piece run. Aguinaldo kit — from MXN 2,100 before VAT per piece on an 80-piece run. Christmas party kit — from MXN 2,800 before VAT per piece on a 100-piece run. VIP client premium kit — from MXN 5,800 before VAT per piece on a 20-piece run. Posada, year-end party, catering and music production are quoted separately based on scope. Booking requires an eight-point brief: quarterly events, tentative dates, number of employees or attendees per event, budget per piece, suggested gift, venue, brand manual and confidentiality handling. For corporates with IMMEX operations on the northern border, we invoice in USD with deduction under the IMMEX programme. For corporates with USMCA regional operations, we coordinate gift shipping to offices in the United States and Canada with international courier and customs documentation before 15 December.
