Spain Corporate Event 2026: the natural bridge between Latin America and the European Union runs on AEAT SII, VeriFactu 2027 electronic invoicing, and gifts where Iberian paleta is no longer a surprise but a baseline

Spain is the natural corporate hub between Mexico and Europe. Cultural affinity is high, the language is shared with regional differences (vosotros/ustedes, vosotros in peninsular Spain), and the corporate fabric is deeply connected with Latin America through investment, joint ventures, and supply chains. The corporate event in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, or Seville resolves three critical layers. The first is invoicing: the AEAT (Agencia Tributaria) administers the SII (Suministro Inmediato de Información) for companies with annual billing above €6M, with real-time invoice submission, identification via issuer and recipient NIF, 21% general IVA (10% reduced, 4% super-reduced, 0% exempt), and the new VeriFactu system effective 2026–2027 for invoice registration with QR code and electronic signature. The second is gift curation: the Iberian paleta is now standard (acorn-fed Iberian ham, extra-virgin olive oil from Andalusia, Rioja or Ribera del Duero wine, manchego cheese); curation rises to the level of Denominación de Origen and identified producer. The third is language: peninsular Spanish with vosotros in non-mass corporate correspondence, usted in executive invitations, and bilingual Spanish–English POP material for international delegates.

Spanish gift curation: Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Jabugo, Sierra de Cazorla

The curated Spanish gift is built with products of verifiable Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) and Indicación Geográfica Protegida (IGP). For executive level we deliver boxes with acorn-fed Iberian ham DOP (Sánchez Romero Carvajal, Cinco Jotas, Joselito, Iberian Cured, Manuel Maldonado), extra-virgin olive oil DOP from Andalusia (Sierra de Cazorla, Baena, Lucena, Antequera), Rioja DOCa wine (Marqués de Riscal, López de Heredia, La Rioja Alta, CVNE, Muga, Marqués de Murrieta, R. López de Heredia), Ribera del Duero DO wine (Vega Sicilia, Pingus, Aalto, Pesquera, Protos), manchego cheese DOP (Quesería Manchega, García Baquero, Finca de Uva, Valle del Tietar), and a tech piece (premium headphones, power bank, encrypted USB) with client logo. Gift price ranges from MXN 620 to MXN 7,200 ex-IVA per piece.

For middle level we deliver boxes with cebo Iberian ham DOP, DOP olive oil, Rioja Crianza wine, aged manchego cheese, Alicante turrón DOP (El Lobo, La Casa, Suchard), and a piece of corporate merchandising. For mass level we deliver kits in fabric backpack with cloth bag, Rioja wine bottle, DOP olive oil, Mediterranean healthy snack (olives, almonds, picos), and event POP material. The curation rule: every gift has an identifiable producer, verifiable DOP/IGP, and traceability. We reject generic imported gifts without Spanish cultural context.

Printed material is delivered in peninsular Spanish. Executive invitations use usted and ustedes; POP material for broader events uses vosotros with friendly tone. The brand manual is respected with per-market application tolerance: the logo may remain in neutral international Spanish, but body text adapts to peninsular Spanish. Ribbon tapes are produced in brand-manual colours with Spanish text. Gifts are labelled in Spanish with ingredients, origin, batch, and expiration date under AESAN regulation.

AEAT SII, VeriFactu, 21% IVA, and Mexico–Spain DTA deduction

The Spanish SII (Suministro Inmediato de Información) is the real-time invoicing system for companies with annual billing above €6M. It is issued under the emitter's NIF, with recipient identification (Spanish NIF or international equivalent), 21% general IVA (10% reduced, 4% super-reduced, 0% exempt), IRPF when applicable (on professional services, 15% general or 7% for new professionals), and real-time AEAT registration. The VeriFactu system (Real Decreto 1007/2023) takes effect in 2026–2027 and requires invoice registration with QR code, electronic signature, and anti-fraud.

For the Mexico-based client that receives the mirror invoice of the Spanish component, the deduction operates under the Mexico–Spain DTA in force since 1995 with a 2014 amending protocol. The Mexican client deducts as expense the Spanish proportion if the event ties to the Mexican operation, withholds ISR on payments abroad when the Spanish partner is a Spanish tax resident (the DTA establishes reduced rates for dividends 5%/10%, interest 5%/10%, royalties 5%/10%), and applies 100% creditable IVA on the Mexican component with CFDI 4.0 SAT. For clients with Permanent Establishment in Spain under income-attribution regime, the deduction operates under specific rules.

For corporate clients with annual recurring events (portfolio launch, Euro–Latin American regional kick-off, supplier convention, winery experience) we offer a master agreement with per-city logbook, monthly consolidated invoicing in CFDI 4.0 + AEAT SII invoice, and unified manual under a single binational (Mexico–Spain) project director. The master agreement simplifies tax deduction in both countries and allows consolidating shipments from origin to reduce logistics cost between 22% and 38% against local per-market purchase.
