National distributor convention Q2 2026: the multi-city event for 1,500+ distributors in Mexico

The second quarter is, after the ASK, the time for the national distributor convention for companies with a mature channel network in Mexico. Between April and June, mass-consumption, durables, technology, automotive, hardware, food, beverage, cosmetics and B2B industrial corporates summon their distributor, wholesaler, sub-distributor and own-store network for the mid-year business review, the first-half quota adjustment, the Q3–Q4 portfolio launch, the second-half promotion calendar and the incentive programme. The convention combines a mass audience (1,500 to 5,000 distributors) with premium curation for the top 5% of the network. At Corp-Merch.MX we produce the complete merchandising chain for the convention with CFDI 4.0 invoicing, 16% VAT, deductible as Marketing, Advertising or Commercial Relations depending on the destination.

Four merchandising lines for the national convention

For conventions that want to reward the top 5%, 10% and 20% of the channel we run production with curation by level and ceremonial delivery at the channel gala. CFDI 4.0, 16% VAT, deductible as Commercial Relations.

POP and training material for new portfolio

For conventions where the material is delivered to the network of points of sale we run production with shrink-wrap or individual box depending on the wholesaler guideline. CFDI 4.0, 16% VAT, deductible as Marketing or Advertising.

Gala dinner and hospitality suite

Merchandise for the gala dinner closing the convention and for the hospitality suites during the day: logo-printed menus, table markers, courtesy gifts for companions (usually spouses and children), gifts for external speakers, gifts for the event-production team, gifts for the host hotel's maître d'. For dinners of 1,500 to 5,000 diners in Cancún, Riviera Maya, Punta Mita, Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco, Mérida, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Curation between MXN 850 and 4,800 per diner. Invoiced with CFDI 4.0 and 16% VAT, coordinated with the hotel's banqueting team. For events at all-inclusive hotels we coordinate delivery with the banqueting team.

Q2 convention operational calendar

The Mexican Q2 concentrates three convention windows: the last week of April (whenIMMEX corporates in the northern border close the first fiscal quarter and run the mid-year review with the border-distributor network), the last week of May (coinciding with Mother's Day and the first fiscal-quarter close of many companies), and the last week of June (when corporates rush the convention before the July–August recess). The production window closes between 15 February and 31 March for pieces delivered in April–May, and between 15 March and 30 April for pieces delivered in June. Beach-resort logistics in May–June in Cancún and Riviera Maya are in high demand.

At Corp-Merch.MX we coordinate the complete national-convention production with timelines that consider the event date, the distributor count, the cities where it runs (generally single venue to reduce logistics cost), early delivery to the venue or the wholesaler's address, and coordination with the event-production team and the host venue. We operate in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Querétaro, Mérida, Puebla, León, Tijuana, Cancún, Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Maya and Punta Mita, with delivery to the event venue or the wholesaler's address. For corporates with a US, Canadian or LATAM base under USMCA or equivalent trade agreement we handle international shipping through the client's customs broker. For corporates with anIMMEX programme in the northern border we handle deduction when the merchandise ties to channel retention. Invoicing is issued with CFDI 4.0 and 16% VAT, with USD invoicing at the Banco de México daily rate for corporates with a foreign parent.

Curation by distributor tier and annual revenue

Curation depends on the distributor tier and annual revenue. For distributors with annual revenue above MXN 100M (the top 5% of the channel) we deliver premium gifts between MXN 12,000 and 85,000: premium hard-shell travel case, high-end smartwatch, leather desk set, Mexican art piece, gastronomic experience or short trip. For distributors with annual revenue between MXN 20M and 100M (the top 20% of the channel) we deliver gifts between MXN 4,500 and 12,000: technical backpack, mid-range smartwatch, travel kit, premium gourmet basket. For distributors with annual revenue under MXN 20M (the channel middle mass) we deliver gifts between MXN 2,200 and 4,500: polo, thermos, notebook, roller pen. Final decision closes between 15 February and 15 April depending on target convention date.

The process kicks off with a working session with the corporate Marketing, Trade Marketing, Training and Procurement committee, where we define the distributor roster by revenue, the gift count per level, the cities, the per-level budget, the production timeline and the distributor-name personalisation level. Final curation closes between 28 February and 31 March for pieces delivered in April–May, and between 31 March and 30 April for pieces delivered in June. For corporates with limited budget we run pre-designed packages with accessible MOQ and pre-payment discount. Invoicing is issued with CFDI 4.0 and 16% VAT, deductible as Marketing, Advertising or Commercial Relations depending on the destination and the channel-retention programme.
