National operating matrix

Industry × region of Mexico

Industrial venue crossed with the dominant sector: hospitality × Riviera Maya, fintech × Mexico City, manufacturing × Bajío, retail × Mexico City/Monterrey, healthcare × Mexico City, education × Puebla/Monterrey, government × Mexico City.

Why cross industry with region

The same corporate garment changes its function depending on where it is delivered. The 220 gram pique polo that a corporate buyer in Mexico City Polanco hands out at the sales kick-off carries the same base fabric as the plant uniform of a Tier 1 supplier operating out of Parque Industrial Queretaro, but the program that funds each one is not assembled the same way. In the first case, the priority is a flawless cosmetic finish with three-color embroidery, individual kit packaging and a staggered delivery window into Centro Citibanamex. In the second, the priority is 320 gram denim durability, NOM-018-STPS-2015, IMMEX deductibility, and the name of the engineer reassigned from Germany or France. The matrix exists to make that change explicit before the purchase order is opened.

Mexican territory sorts itself into dominant sectors that rarely overlap. The Bajio is automotive, aerospace and export manufacturing. The Riviera Maya and Cancun are hospitality and MICE. Mexico City and Monterrey are financial services, premium retail, tertiary healthcare and federal government. Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez are border IMMEX. Merida and the Southeast are cultural tourism and wellness. Villahermosa and the Campeche sound are energy. When the brief is built by reading the sector map before picking the SKU, the regulatory regime comes into view. When built from the general catalog, the program ends up as loose spend and the CFDI 4.0 deduction with sixteen percent VAT becomes harder to defend at the annual filing.

How the matrix is built

Each intersection was built with Corp-Merch.MX production data, real requests observed in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Merida and Tijuana during the last fiscal year, and a literature review of NMX, ISO 105, ASTM D5034 and NOM-004. The numbers are adjusted for cotton-polyester blend inflation reported by SNIIM and for the FIX rate of Banxico when the input is imported under a pedimento. The selection reflects the intersections that appear most often across hospitality, fintech, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, education, government, MICE and border maquila.

The common framework describes five elements: the dominant economic sector in the venue, the preferred decoration technique, the regulatory regime in scope, the delivery window and the decision between a regional workshop or the Mexico City hub. When the crossing touches recipient data, LFPDPPP is added; manufacturing with an export leg adds IMMEX and pedimento; the Cancun or Riviera Maya hotel zone adds Carta Porte 3.0 with air freight from AICM Terminal 2; plant uniform adds NOM-018-STPS-2015. Each card ends with the same decision: produce locally, at the hub, or use border IMMEX maquila.

Twelve crossings of the national territory

Each card describes the dominant intersection between sector and venue. The decoration technique, the regulatory regime and the decision between a local workshop or the Mexico City hub change with every crossing.

Quote with the intersection of your sector and your venue

If the intersection of your sector and your venue is already in the matrix, the production and freight decision is made the same day. If it is not, the matrix is built with three parameters: the dominant sector in the venue, the preferred decoration technique and the regulatory regime in scope. Each quote is delivered with numbers in MXN, VAT included, Carta Porte 3.0 when applicable, IMMEX deductibility when applicable, dock window, LFPDPPP when the SKU touches recipient data, XML and PDF archive for seven years under Article 30 of the CFF, and a NOM-018-STPS-2015 compliance report when the SKU is plant uniform.

The regions covered with a verified partner workshop are Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Merida, Riviera Maya, Cancun, Tijuana, Leon, Puebla, the full Bajio, and Villahermosa with coverage to Paraiso and Ciudad del Carmen.

Your intersection is not in the matrix

If your sector is not in the twelve cards, the matrix is built with the same logic. Corp-Merch.MX operates with a partner workshop across Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Bajio, Tijuana, Leon, Puebla, Merida, Riviera Maya and Saltillo, and a regulatory compliance network for IMMEX, LFPDPPP and NOM-018-STPS-2015. The quote is delivered with numbers checked against the venue.
