Energy & mining merch in Mexico

PPE-rated technical uniforms, executive gifts, field-operator kits and community-neighbour merch for extractive operations, electric generation and exploration — Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), Industrias Peñoles, Fresnillo plc (a Fresnillo subsidiary), Grupo México (Southern Peru Copper, Ferromex), Newmont (Peñasquito, Cerro Negro), BHP (historical La Escondida operation that opened the model), ArcelorMittal Mexico (Lázaro Cárdenas), Ternium (Monterrey, Puebla, Apodaca), AHMSA (Monclova), Grupo BAL (Industrias Peñoles), Agnico Eagle (operations in collaboration with Fresnillo), Alamos Gold (Mulatos), Torex Gold (LIM), plus oilfield-services providers (Halliburton, Schlumberger SLB, Weatherford, BJ Services, Baker Hughes) and CFE contractors (CFE Generación, CFE Distribución, CFEnergía).

When the client delivers to a platform or a mine mouth

The Mexican energy and mining sector operates at sites where corporate merchandise has to walk 14 hours under the Coahuila sun, survive the humid heat of the Campeche Sound, hold up at the 2,400-metre altitude of Zacatecas, cross the US border to reach an operational hub at Eagle Pass or Carlsbad, or spend a week at open sea before reaching a PEMEX platform. The supply chain carries its own language: PEMEX asks for PEMEX-SSIPA compliance (industrial safety, occupational health and environmental protection), CFE asks for its internal standards (N-CONF and LR-1), the miners ask for NOM-018-STPS-2015 compliance and for the safety standards specific to each group (Peñoles with its own occupational health and safety management system, Grupo México with its SOX-aligned code of conduct).

Corp-Merch Mexico learned to operate at this cadence when it started by delivering uniforms for a Grupo México plant in Mexico City and then for the Cuajone, Toquepala or Ilo operations coordinated with the Lima head office. Today we deliver plant uniforms for the Peñoles metallurgical complex in Torreón, kits for the Halliburton contractor in Ciudad del Carmen, merch for the community-neighbour programs at the area-of-influence zones (social programs run by Canadian miners operating in Sonora, Zacatecas and Chihuahua territory), and executive gifts for the CEO of Grupo México or Fresnillo plc at Bolsa Mexicana de Valores events. The invoicing runs on CFDI 4.0 stamped before fiscal close and, when the destination is a mining area-of-influence or an offshore platform, the freight operates under temporary or definitive import regime as applicable.

Typical energy & mining merch programs

Community-neighbour and social-program merch

School kits with backpack, supplies and uniform for the children of collaborators in area-of-influence zones; welcome kits for community-work inauguration; backpacks and tumblers for the university-scholarship program; shirts for the company-sponsored athletics race; gifts for the inauguration of a community centre or rural clinic. Runs of 100–5,000 pieces with CFDI and, where applicable, SEMARNAT information-requirement compliance.

Logistics to remote zones and platforms

Delivery to remote zones and platforms is the hardest test of the supply chain. To the Sonora and Zacatecas mines we arrive by consolidated road-freight with SCT permits; to the Chihuahua and Durango mines we arrive by road-freight with escort when the zone warrants it; to the Campeche Sound we arrive by fast boat from Cd. del Carmen, with EMA (Empresa Mexicana de Arribo) coordination. Traceability is full — guide with release number, photo of delivery to the contract lead or the group chief, signed acknowledgement and, where applicable, electronic signature from the operations chief.

For community-neighbour deliveries under a social program, the chain aligns with the client's communications team and, in some cases, with SEMARNAT when the program touches environmental issues. The invoicing runs with CFDI to the client; when the program is delivered through a non-profit association we invoice the association with their RFC and, if the association runs a donataria-authorised tax status, we issue CFDI with the donatarias complement.

Pricing, MOQ and lead times — energy & mining

Pricing in MXN excluding VAT. 16% VAT broken out on CFDI 4.0 with the client's RFC and, where applicable, Carta Porte 3.0 depending on weight and destination. MOQ from 50 pieces for certified-PPE apparel, 25 pieces for platform kits, 10 pieces for individual executive gifts. Large runs (5,000 pieces and above) unlock tier discounts with annual repurchase commitment. Lead times: 7–10 working days for commercial runs, 4–6 weeks for PPE uniforms with certified compliance, 3–5 working days for urgent replenishment at +30% surcharge.

For platform kits with an offshore destination we schedule the embarkation window with the client's EMA (where PEMEX applies) and deliver 24–48 hours before the sailing. Scheduling must always consider weather conditions (hurricane seasons in the Gulf of Mexico, rainy season in Chiapas) and the scheduled operational shutdowns.
