World music festival · Sines and Porto Covo, Portugal
For artists, independent labels, cultural agencies, tour operators and Mexican teams attending FMM Sines — tour tees, staff shirts, press kits and relationship gifts delivered to the Castelo de Sines, the Centro de Artes or your hotel in the historic center.
FMM Sines — Festival Músicas do Mundo — is one of the most beloved fixtures on the Iberian world-music calendar. Organized by the Câmara Municipal de Sines, the festival splits its programme between the village of Porto Covo and the city of Sines, with open-air stages, concerts at the Castelo and ticketed shows at the Centro de Artes. For a Mexican delegation — be it a label bringing an artist on tour, a cultural office of the Mexican government, a press team covering the edition, or a tour operator packaging a combined Lisbon–Alentejo–Sines trip — the logistics challenge is not only reaching the Castelo but sustaining the team's presence through a tour that mixes beach, historic centre and paid-entry nights.
The merch programme for a typical Mexican delegation splits into four allocations. The first is the artist's tour gear: tees and guayabera-style shirts with the label mark and the artist's name, sized for rehearsals, soundcheck and the open-air concerts on Avenida Vasco da Gama; hoodies and tour tees sold to the public at the merch booth, made from certified organic cotton so the artist can hold a credible responsible-production line during interviews. This line is sold in EUR but invoiced from CDMX in MXN at an agreed FX rate, with CFDI 4.0 issued at batch close with payment complement.
The second allocation covers production staff: staff shirts with the festival mark, the year legend and the team member's credential number, plus mesh vests for security and ushers assisting the public at the open-air stages. The staff line is the most visible in the photographs that circulate on social media and in the cultural press, so sizing and comfort matter as much as branding: a poorly sized vest or a tee that warps in the first wash ruins the team's image in the backline photos.
The third allocation covers press and relationships: press kits with the artist or label dossier, biography and tech rider sheets, and compact gifts for European programmers, directors of other festivals and journalists from the Portuguese and Spanish cultural press. These volumes are smaller in quantity but high in curation: a well-assembled box for the director of an allied festival turns into a co-programming invitation for the next edition. We work with FSC-certified cotton paper for the dossiers and rigid cardboard boxes with magnetic closure for the relationship gifts.
The fourth allocation covers on-site activations: tees and reusable bags with the festival mark given away or raffled at the open-air concerts, fans and water bottles for the team that spends full days under the Alentejo sun, and commemorative pieces for VIP attendees. This line moves fast and usually needs replenishment mid-festival, especially at the free Porto Covo shows and on Avenida Vasco da Gama.
Mexican delegations crossing the Atlantic for FMM typically invoice the entire order from Mexico under a definitive export scheme, with a customs agent filing the pedimento key before shipping and Carta Porte 3.0 covering the international freight leg. If the material travels with the artist's team as checked baggage, we issue a separate CFDI per leg so each batch closes clean; if the tour prefers to send tees and gifts ahead to the hotel or to the consignee at the Centro de Artes, we coordinate delivery with the named concierge so the material arrives before the first soundcheck.

Artist or label dossiers, biography pages and archival material delivered to European programmers, the Portuguese cultural press and directors of allied festivals.
Per-recipient boxes for programmers and press, plus activation pieces (reusable bags, fans, bottles) for attendees of the open-air concerts in Sines and Porto Covo.
Before kicking off production, confirm quantities per allocation, Porto Covo and Sines dates, stage assignments and the named consignee at the Castelo or at the historic-centre hotel. For material travelling with the delegation, each piece must be packed in checked baggage with a packing list that clears customs without being opened; the rest ships consolidated with Carta Porte 3.0. The Castelo de Sines and the Centro de Artes should not be treated as open parcel-delivery addresses, and a named concierge at the hotel is usually the best option for receiving sensitive material outside festival hours.
Ten to twelve weeks is the safe window when the allocation runs from CDMX and the material crosses to Europe. Shorter programmes are only possible after confirming in writing textile plant capacity, available print batch and customs permits.
Yes, when the festival organization or the logistics operator confirms the loading slot, the platform window and the named consignee. Most Mexican delegations split the shipment between the festival platform and a named concierge at their historic-centre hotel, especially for material arriving before the first soundcheck.
Yes. We split the batches from the brief: the public-sale merch is documented as a export with Carta Porte 3.0; the staff shirts and vests are documented as tour gear without VAT charged. The 16% IVA line applies only to the domestic component and stays clean for your finance team.
