Two industries that should not collide — but do
Guadalajara is one of the few cities in the world where an export-oriented software cluster with a denomination of origin coexists with a spirits industry that carries its own denomination of origin. The Zapopan–Providencia–Andares corridor hosts the engineering campuses of Oracle, IBM, Intel, HP, Tata Consultancy Services, Globant, Wizeline, KPMG, EY and the startup ecosystem left behind by Continental, Motorola Solutions and the older electronics manufacturing hubs. The entire Bajío — Querétaro, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Guanajuato, León — operates as the logistics hinterland of this software pole that has earned the nickname "Mexican Silicon Valley".
At the same time, Jalisco has been producing tequila under denomination of origin since 1974. The global headquarters sit in Guadalajara or Zapopan: Becle (José Cuervo), Patrón Spirits, Casa Herradura (Brown-Forman), Sauza, Tequila Fortaleza, Don Julio, Casa Dragones. The supply chain — agave farmers in the Altos de Jalisco, bottlers along the Tepatitlán–Arandas–Atotonilco corridor, the José Cuervo Laboratories — drives a constant demand for merch at international trade shows (Bar Convent Brooklyn, ProWein Düsseldorf, Tales of the Cocktail New Orleans), D2C programs, brand tours and corporate events for clients in the United States, EMEA and LATAM.
Electronics manufacturing and the Bajío aerospace cluster
The Guadalajara–Aguascalientes–San Luis Potosí corridor concentrates the bulk of Mexico's export electronics manufacturing. Foxconn runs an assembly plant near GDL airport; Flex operates in Jalisco; Jabil in Aguascalientes; Sanmina across multiple points in the Bajío. The Tier-1 and Tier-2 chain — Molex, TE Connectivity, Sensata, FCI, Aptiv — requires production-floor uniforms, branded personal protective equipment (dielectric footwear, polycarbonate eyewear, anti-static gloves), ESD-safe polo shirts, industrial-grade embroidered identifications, corporate rainwear and onboarding kits for the thousands of engineers and technicians rotating across the lines.
Logistics from GDL goes directly to Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport (IATA: GDL), which maintains daily cargo connections to Laredo, Nuevo Laredo, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio and Memphis. For urgent shipments to the United States, the customs cutoff runs at noon; an order confirmed before 11:00 am ships the same day. The closest northern border — Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas — sits 13 hours down the 85D highway, making Guadalajara the natural hub for Bajío manufacturing runs destined for USMCA.
Expo Guadalajara and the 2026 trade-show calendar
Expo Guadalajara runs as the most active trade-show venue in western Mexico. The 2026 calendar includes ANTAD & Alimentaria, INFIS, AMDsummit, Mexico Business Summit, Forja Arquitecto, Expo Café & Gourmet GDL, EXPO Mueble Winter, FIBO Mexico, Guadalajara Comic Convention, Campus Party, Talent Land and the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) — the latter with 800 publishing houses from 50 countries and 800,000 visitors over nine days. Every event requires embroidered polos, tyvek or RPET lanyards, canvas totes with logo, stand polos and gift sets for the leads you collect on the show floor.
For corporate stands in the Magdalena, Minerva and Electricidad pavilions, we coordinate with Expo GDL management for access to the stand number and the loading dock schedule on Avenida Mariano Otero. If setup happens midweek before opening, we arrange nighttime delivery windows (between 22:00 and 06:00) with prior authorization from the venue. Invoicing for Expo GDL stands typically runs in MXN with 16% IVA via CFDI 4.0; when the exhibitor is a US-RFC subsidiary, we coordinate with the parent for dual billing.

Logistics from Guadalajara and Bajío delivery
Pricing in MXN before IVA. The 16% IVA is itemized in the CFDI 4.0 invoice against your RFC; when professional-services withholding applies, we reflect it on the receipt. Volume tiers: 50 / 100 / 250 / 500 units with step discounts up to 30% from 500 units onwards. Production lead times: 7 to 10 business days for standard runs, 3 to 5 business days with a +30% surcharge for urgent jobs. Same-day delivery within the GDL Periférico and Zapopan when you confirm before 11:00 am; next-day to Tepatitlán, Arandas, Atotonilco, Lagos de Moreno, San Juan de los Lagos and Tlaquepaque.
For shipments to the United States (Texas, California, Illinois, Arizona, New Mexico) and Canada, we dispatch via DHL Express, FedEx International Priority or dedicated fleet with direct crossing at Laredo–Nuevo Laredo. For electronic invoicing we need your current constancia de situación fiscal and, when a master contract applies, the corporate purchase order. We issue Carta Porte 3.0 when the destination requires a transit receipt (cfdi de traslado) and, in IMMEX operations returning to the US, the corresponding export pedimento.
Tlaquepaque, Tonalá and the artisan cluster
Tlaquepaque and Tonalá are the most important artisan poles in western Mexico and operate as suppliers of premium gifts for companies that need objects with a Jalisco identity. Tlaquepaque hosts the high-end galleries and workshops (Sergio Bustamante, Jorge Wilmot, the workshops along Calle Independencia) producing blown glass, high-fire ceramics, burnished clay and naturally dyed textiles. Tonalá runs the workshops for canelo clay, ceremonial masks, catrinas and papier-mâché figurines for Día de Muertos.
For executive gifting, we curate lines from these workshops — small pieces in engraved wooden packaging, catrina sets for PR, regional sweets (jamoncillo from Tepatitlán, cocadas, chilacayote), engraved glassware from Tlaquepaque — scaling from short runs (50 pieces for VIP clients) up to industrial runs (5,000 pieces for retention campaigns). Invoicing runs in MXN with 16% IVA via CFDI 4.0; for export pieces, we manage the pedimento and coordinate with your customs broker.
What we are not
Corp-Merch.MX is a corporate merch, uniforms and business gifting production workshop. We are not an official partner or sponsor of Expo Guadalajara, FIL Guadalajara or Talent Land. We do not operate a retail store open to consumers in Andares or Providencia; we work exclusively against corporate purchase orders with CFDI 4.0 (SAT) and, when applicable, dual MXN/USD invoicing under USMCA. The brands and trade names mentioned belong to their respective owners; the references are made exclusively for descriptive purposes to identify the logistics context of Guadalajara and the agave region of Jalisco.
