The Mexican Caribbean island — cruises, diving and adventure tourism

Cozumel is the largest island in the Mexican Caribbean — 48 kilometres long by 16 wide, sitting 18 kilometres off Playa del Carmen. Each year it takes in more than four million visitors between cruise passengers and tourists who take the ferry over from the mainland to dive, snorkel and explore the reefs. The Aeropuerto Internacional de Cozumel (IATA: CZM) takes direct flights from Mexico City, Monterrey, Houston, Miami and Havana, though most visitors arrive by cruise ship.

San Miguel de Cozumel, the cabecera, keeps an island-town centre: Parque Benito Juárez, the central plaza, the Island Museum, the east and west malecones and the northern hotel zone with five-star beach resorts (Iberostar, Meliá, Occidental, Secrets). The formal economy runs on cruise tourism (more than 60% of visitors), diving and snorkelling (Parque Nacional Arrecifes de Cozumel, Palancar, Santa Rosa, Colombia) and a services sector serving the 700,000+ passengers who disembark monthly during high season.

Cruise port and maritime terminals

Cozumel runs three cruise terminals — Punta Langosta, International Pier and the Muelle Fiscal — where Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC, Norwegian and Disney dock year-round. The terminals handle supervisor-grade polos for landside personnel, welcome kits for crews and operation-grade safety polos for temporary staff during the December-to-April high season.

Tour operators who receive passengers — Punta Sur Eco Park, Chankanaab, Mr. Sanchos, Playa Mia, Paradise Beach — use quick-dry polos for guides, UV-protective caps, waterproof backpacks and gift sets with island identity. The supply chain depends on the ferry from Playa del Carmen, so Cozumel orders consolidate and ship via the Playa del Carmen Maritime Terminal with 24 to 48 hours' notice.

Dive centres and tour operators

Diving is the island's second economic engine: Cozumel has more than 80 certified dive centres (PADI, SSI, NAUI), and the reef parks — Palancar, Santa Rosa, Colombia, Punta Sur, Paradise — concentrate daily operations. For these centres we run divemaster-grade polos, instructor-grade rashguards, logo caps, operational ID sets and engraved certification kits.

Tour operators — Cozumel Pearl Farm, Atlantis Submarines, Jeep Safari, Cozumel Food Tour — use quick-dry polos, UV caps, waterproof backpacks and gift sets with Mayan identity (chocolate, melipona honey, tequila, mezcal, embroidered textiles). San Miguel restaurants — La Choza, Los Tucanes, El Cocal — order staff polos and branded souvenir sets for guests.

Resorts, beach clubs and destination weddings

Northern-zone resorts — Iberostar Cozumel, Meliá Cozumel, Secrets Aura Cozumel, Occidental Cozumel — run incentive groups and destination weddings. For them we run monogram-embroidered polos, VIP welcome kits, engraved farewell gifts, beach sets and waiter-grade staff uniforms. Cozumel destination weddings move runs for 30 to 150 guests with bridal-party polos, beach sets, wedding-party polos and corporate gifts.

The foundation and government offices — Cozumel Tourism Board, the Fideicomiso de Promoción Turística, CANACO Cozumel — order polos for tourism-promotion campaigns, press kits for FAM trips and gifts for tour operators. If your brief includes quantity, date and venue (San Miguel, pier, Punta Langosta, hotel zone, dive centre, national park), we'll walk through it and ground it in production.

Island logistics, ferry and delivery

Cozumel's logistics depends on the Playa del Carmen ferry — Ultramar and Winjet run 25 departures a day each way and move consolidated cargo with 24 hours' notice. Our production leaves our central workshop and arrives via road freight at the Playa del Carmen consolidator, where it ships by ferry to the San Miguel pier. Standard lead times: 10 to 15 business days for production plus 2 to 4 days for delivery to the consolidator plus 1 day for ferry crossing.

For urgent orders we keep base inventory of white polos in S to XXL, caps, backpacks and engraved tumblers that go into customisation with 3 to 5 business-day turnaround. Island supply has its own rules — weather, the cruise calendar and Mexican public holidays alter the ferry frequency. We walk each brief through with you and adjust the flow to island reality.

What we are not

Corp-Merch is a corporate merch, uniform and executive gift brand for businesses. We are not the Cozumel Tourism Board or part of the Fideicomiso de Promoción Turística, we do not represent the cruise terminals or the shipping lines. We do not sell shirts to the general public and we have no consumer-facing retail store on the island. We work exclusively on corporate purchase orders with CFDI 4.0 invoicing.
