The most-visited destination in the Mexican Caribbean
Cancún is the most important tourism destination in Mexico and one of the leading destinations in the international Caribbean. The hotel zone — the 25-kilometre strip running from Punta Cancún to Punta Nizuc — concentrates more than 170 hotels with 38,000+ rooms and operates under the all-inclusive model with global brands like Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Barceló, Riu, Meliá, Fiesta Americana, Palace Resorts, AMResorts, Karisma, Secrets, Dreams, Iberostar, Catalonia, Occidental, Sandos and Grupo Posadas. The Quintana Roo economy depends 65% on tourism and Cancún drives the bulk of state revenue.
The visitor profile is heterogeneous: US tourism (50%+ of total), Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Chile and a growing domestic segment from the upper-middle class. Corporate conventions and meetings — the MICE segment (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) — drive calendars defined by high season (December to April and July-August) and shoulder season (rest of the year). Dual MXN/USD invoicing applies to most operations given the international nature of the visitor and the contracts of the global hotel chains.
Cancún Center and the MICE industry
The Cancún Center — Cancún Centro de Convenciones — is one of the most active convention venues in the Mexican Caribbean and runs a calendar of MICE events (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) throughout practically the entire year. The venue hosts the annual conventions of global firms (TIACA, ASA, AMA, IRONMAN México), sector fairs (FIT, ABAV, Tianguis Turístico de México), medical congresses (American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology), board meetings of multinational corporations and high-end destination weddings. Each event requires embroidered polos, tyvek or RPET lanyards, welcome kits for delegates, gifts for VIP attendees, backpacks in sustainable materials and press kits.
Logistics from Cancún operates via Cancún International Airport (IATA: CUN) — the second-busiest airport in Mexico after CDMX — which maintains daily connections to 35 US cities, 12 in Canada, 8 in Europe and direct service to Bogotá, Lima, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Madrid, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris. For shipments to the hotel zone and Punta Nizuc, we dispatch via federal highway 307 with nighttime delivery windows (between 22:00 and 06:00) so we don't disrupt hotel operations.
Dive operators, marinas and tours
Cancún concentrates the principal certified-dive operators in the Mexican Caribbean. The MUSA dive route (Museo Subacuático de Arte) with the underwater sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor attracts thousands of PADI, SSI, NAUI, RAID-certified divers per year. Operators manage lycra rashguards with UPF 50+ grade, quick-dry polos, divemaster-grade uniforms for boat staff, embroidered identifications for certified guides, induction kits for new divers and branded gifts with submarine identity. The marinas at Puerto Juárez and Marina del Rey run charter, catamaran and private-tour service with embroidered polos for crews.
Tour operators — Xenotes, Xcaret, Xplor, Xelga, Chchí, Tulum, Coba, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel — handle uniforms with certified-guide grade, gift sets with Mayan identity for archaeological tours, quick-dry polos for adventure parks and beach sets in sustainable materials. Invoicing for these operators typically runs in MXN with 16% IVA via CFDI 4.0; when the operator is part of a group headquartered abroad, we handle a generic RFC for dual MXN/USD billing under USMCA.

For operations with global hotel chains, we work with the parent offices abroad and issue invoices with payment complement when the client pays in USD. For tours to the archaeological zone and nature reserves, we run short series (100 to 500 units) with consistent quality and humidity-resistant packaging. If your brief includes quantity, date and venue (hotel zone, Punta Nizuc, Cancún Center, Puerto Juárez, Riviera Maya, park, operator), let's review it and bring it to production.
What we are not
Corp-Merch.MX is a corporate merch, uniforms and business gifting production workshop. We are not an official partner of the Cancún Center or global hotel chains; we do not operate a retail store open to consumers in the hotel zone or in Punta Nizuc, nor do we run tours to MUSA, Xcaret or Tulum. We work exclusively against corporate purchase orders with CFDI 4.0 (SAT) and, when applicable, dual MXN/USD invoicing under USMCA. The brands and trade names mentioned belong to their respective owners; the references are made exclusively for descriptive purposes to identify the logistics context of Cancún and the Riviera Maya.
