Premium VIP gift sets assembled in Mexico for executives and strategic clients
A VIP gift set has to feel like a personal object, not a marketing artefact. We assemble sets for board members, key clients, strategic suppliers and the executive guests of corporate galas at Hotel Four Seasons CDMX, St. Regis Mexico City, Hilton Polanco, Hotel Presidente InterContinental and the private clubs of Polanco and Santa Fe, in editions of 8–120 numbered pieces. Each set combines Denomination of Origin Mexican products, leather or wooden objects, and personalised accessories. CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA, USD billing for international procurement teams, NOM-141 for the tequila and mezcal components.
Why a VIP set has to be assembled, not bought off the shelf
VIP gifting in Mexico has its own logic. The recipient is typically someone who can already buy any object that is offered commercially — what they cannot easily buy is a thoughtful combination of Mexican regional products, personalised engraving, and the narrative that ties the gift to the moment it was given. The set has to feel curated and intentional. A set assembled from off-the-shelf components reads as a marketing package; a set assembled for the recipient and the moment reads as a personal gift.
The number matters too. VIP sets are produced in limited editions — typically 8, 12, 24, 36, 60 or 120 pieces — with the edition size printed on the certificate that accompanies each set. The certificate is hand-signed by the company principal or the event host, and the recipient's name is engraved or hot-stamped on the principal object of the set. The set is delivered in a rigid presentation box with the edition number on the back.
Components of a Mexican VIP set
Principal object
Leather portfolio or attaché case (Italian leather lined in Oaxacan textile), hand-turned wooden box (Olinalá lacquerware or Paracho carved wood), crystal decanter for the extra-aged tequila, or a leather-bound book (hand-bound in Mexico City). Each principal object carries the recipient's name and the edition number. Range USD 280–1,400 per piece.
Regional Mexican products
Denomination of Origin mezcal from Oaxaca (NOM-141 compliant), extra-aged tequila from Jalisco (NOM-141 compliant and certified by the CRT), Oaxacan chocolate with criollo cacao, vanilla from Papantla, mole from Puebla or Tlaxcala, amate paper bookmark from Guerrero, Talavera seal from Puebla. Each product is paired with a card explaining its origin and the producer. Range USD 60–320 per set.
Personalised accessories
Engraved brass or sterling silver pen (recipient's initials or name), personalised leather notebook (recipient's initials hot-stamped on the cover), engraved cufflinks or tie bar, hand-painted ceramic coaster set, hand-woven rebozo or scarf. Range USD 38–240 per accessory.
Presentation and certificate
Rigid presentation box in the brand's colour with hot-stamped logo, tissue paper in a contrasting colour, satin ribbon, hand-signed certificate on amate or cotton paper, hand-written card from the principal, optional velvet pouch for the principal object. Range USD 38–95 per set.
Production timing, NOM compliance and cross-border gifting
A 24-piece VIP set runs 30–40 working days from brief approval: 10 days for creative and personalisation data collection, 14 days for production of the principal object and the personalised accessories, 7 days for the regional product sourcing and the assembly, and 3 days for final QC and delivery. For 120-piece editions or sets with a hand-bound principal object, the production opens 60–90 days in advance.
For the mezcal and tequila components, we work with producers who can deliver the NOM-141 certificate and the CRT certification on the back label, so the recipient can verify the Denomination of Origin through the CRM. For international procurement teams that ship the sets abroad as corporate gifts to clients in the US, Europe or Asia, we issue the commercial invoice in USD with the corresponding CFDI 4.0 in MXN with the comercio exterior complemento, the export documentation and the customs broker coordination for the destination country. For sets that stay inside Mexico, the CFDI 4.0 carries 16% IVA itemised and the local RFC of the company principal.
FAQ — VIP gift sets
What's the minimum edition size?
8 pieces for a board-sized VIP set, 24 pieces for an executive-lounge gifting, 60 pieces for a strategic-client program. Below 8 pieces, the personalised production overhead is significant; we recommend a single-object gift (engraved leather portfolio, hand-bound book) instead.
Can the set include Denomination of Origin tequila or mezcal?
Yes — we work with certified producers in Oaxaca (mezcal, NOM-141 and the Mezcal Regulatory Council) and Jalisco (tequila, NOM-141 and the CRT). The back label carries the certification number that the recipient can verify.
Can we ship the set abroad as a corporate gift?
Yes — we issue the CFDI 4.0 with the comercio exterior complemento and coordinate international freight via DHL Mexico or FedEx Mexico with signature on delivery and the export documentation for the destination country.
Can each set be personalised to the recipient?
Yes — the principal object, the notebook, the pen and the certificate all carry the recipient's name. The personalisation data feed is shared by the company via a secure spreadsheet and is destroyed on delivery.
