Sustainability launch packs for Mexican ESG, CSR and decarbonisation programs
A sustainability launch in Mexico is a regulatory event, not a marketing event. The Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA) audits the recycling claims, the LFPCA governs the labelling, the NOM-251 governs the food-contact materials, and the buyer's ESG report has to back every claim with a chain-of-custody document. We assemble sustainability launch packs for ESG reports, CSR programs, decarbonisation roadmaps, plastic-credit programs, ocean-bound-plastic claims, recycled-stainless bottles and rPET apparel, in volumes from 80 pieces for a single executive announcement to 8,000 pieces for a nationwide consumer program. CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA, USD commercial invoice for international ESG procurement teams.
Why a sustainability launch pack has to be audit-ready, not just green-themed
The Mexican ESG market has matured past the "green-themed" phase. The investor, the regulator and the consumer all want evidence. The recycled-stainless bottle carries a chain-of-custody document; the rPET tote carries the recycled-content percentage and the source stream; the FSC-certified notebook carries the certification number; the organic-cotton tee carries the GOTS or OCS certificate. Every claim in the launch pack has to survive an audit by the buyer's ESG team, the regulator (PROFEPA, SEMARNAT) and the global reporting standard (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP).
The launch pack also has to communicate the sustainability message without being preachy. The consumer or the executive should hold a beautiful, well-made object and learn about its provenance from a small card tucked inside the packaging. The card explains the material, the source, the certification and the producer. The object itself should look like premium consumer goods, not environmental activism.
Components of a sustainability launch pack
Recycled-stainless bottle
500 ml NOM-251 compliant stainless bottle with chain-of-custody document for the recycled content (Monterrey or Saltillo scrap stream). Laser-engraved logo on the bottle. Range USD 18–38 per piece. The chain-of-custody document backs the buyer's ESG report and survives PROFEPA audit.
rPET tote and apparel
Recycled-PET tote (rPET from the Mexican bottle-stream collectors in CDMX, Guadalajara and Monterrey) with the recycled-content percentage printed on the inside label. rPET garment-dyed tee with the GRS or RCS certification. Range USD 6–24 per tote, USD 14–38 per tee.
FSC-certified notebook
A5 notebook with FSC-certified cover paper and recycled pages, debossed cover with the brand identity, 80–120 sheets. The FSC certification number is printed on the inside back cover. Range USD 4–14 per notebook.
Provenance card and ESG documentation
Printed card explaining the material, the source, the certification and the producer for every object in the pack. ESG documentation pack with the chain-of-custody document, the certification numbers, the recycled-content percentages and the contact for the ESG team's audit. Range USD 2–6 per pack for the printed card and documentation.
PROFEPA, NOM-251 and the LFPCA compliance layer
Three regulators govern the Mexican sustainability launch pack. PROFEPA audits the recycling claims and the chain-of-custody documents under the LGPGIR (Ley General para la Prevención y Gestión Integral de los Residuos). The buyer has to be able to produce the chain-of-custody document for the recycled content, the certification numbers for the FSC, GOTS, GRS, RCS or OCS certifications, and the producer's documentation for the labour and environmental standards.
NOM-251 governs the food-contact materials (the recycled-stainless bottle's interior surface, the lunch-box, the coffee cup). The bottle or the lunch-box has to carry the Certificate of Conformity on the food-contact interior surface. The LFPCA governs the labelling: the carton has to carry the importer's RFC, country of origin, capacity and the recommended cleaning instructions in Spanish. The CFDI 4.0 carries 16% IVA itemised and the CFDI uso defined by the ESG procurement team's tax advisor. For international ESG procurement teams, the commercial invoice is issued in USD with the corresponding CFDI 4.0 in MXN.
FAQ — sustainability launch packs
What recycled materials are available in Mexico?
Recycled-stainless from the Monterrey and Saltillo scrap stream, rPET from the bottle-stream collectors in CDMX, Guadalajara and Monterrey, recycled-aluminium from the automotive-stream collectors, recycled-paper and FSC-certified paper, organic cotton from Chihuahua and Sonora, GOTS-certified cotton from the Mexican textile industry.
What certifications back the claims?
FSC for paper and wood products, GOTS and OCS for organic cotton, GRS and RCS for recycled content, the chain-of-custody document for the recycled-stainless and rPET streams, NOM-251 for food-contact materials, the Mezcal Regulatory Council and CRT for the Denomination of Origin regional products.
Can the launch pack survive a PROFEPA audit?
Yes — every claim in the launch pack is backed by a chain-of-custody document, a certification number or a producer's documentation. The ESG documentation pack is supplied to the buyer's ESG team for their audit and to PROFEPA on request.
Can the launch pack be shipped abroad for the global ESG report?
Yes — we coordinate international shipping via DHL Mexico or FedEx Mexico with the CFDI 4.0 comercio exterior complemento and the export documentation. The ESG documentation pack travels with the shipment.
