Press kits assembled and hand-delivered across Mexico

A press kit is the company's first physical artefact to a journalist. It shapes the editor's expectation of the story, the photographer's framing of the brand, the columnist's memory of the moment three months later. We assemble press kits for product launches, executive announcements, anniversary milestones, sponsorship deals, ESG reports and the standard corporate milestones. The press list spans El Universal, Reforma, Milenio, Expansión, El Financiero, El Economista, Forbes México, Proceso, Publimetro, the lifestyle titles (Gente, Quién, Hola México, Vogue México), the trade media (Alto Nivel, Expansión CEO, Mundo Ejecutivo), the regional press (El Norte, El Informador, El Sol de México) and the digital-native outlets (Animal Político, La-Lista, Pie de Página). CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA, USD commercial invoice for international press offices.

Why a press kit is more than a press release in a folder

The press release is read once and filed. The principal object in the kit lives on the journalist's desk for years — the engraved notebook, the branded leather portfolio, the hand-bound book. The press kit's job is to anchor the moment in a physical object that the journalist sees every day when they sit down to write. The kit has to be substantial enough to feel like a considered gift and light enough to carry home from the press conference without breaking.

The Mexican press kit also has to handle the local press cycle. The national press conferences are often held at the company's Polanco or Santa Fe office, at a hotel like the Four Seasons, the St. Regis, the Hilton Polanco or the W Mexico City, or at the venue of the announcement. The regional press is briefed by phone or by video conference, and the kit ships to the regional outlet's office by Estafeta or FedEx Mexico. The trade press and the financial press often receive a more detailed version with the data sheets and the executive Q&A.

Components of a Mexican press kit

Rigid presentation box

Rigid box in the brand's primary colour with hot-stamped logo, magnetic closure, fabric lining in a contrasting colour, satin ribbon. The box is the kit's container and is often kept on the journalist's shelf as a storage piece. Range USD 18–48 per box.

Principal object

Engraved notebook (recipient's name or the journalist's outlet on the cover), branded leather portfolio, hand-bound book (for milestone kits), branded crystal or wooden piece (for ESG and sustainability announcements). The principal object carries the brand identity and is used daily by the journalist. Range USD 38–240 per piece.

Printed and digital materials

Press release in Spanish (and English for the international outlets), fact sheet, brand narrative, photography on USB or via a QR code to a secure download link, executive Q&A, fact sheet on the announcement, the data room for the financial press. The materials are bilingual (ES / EN) for the international outlets. Range USD 4–14 per kit for print and digital.

Regional Mexican products

Single regional product for the local anchor: Oaxacan chocolate, vanilla from Papantla, amate bookmark from Guerrero, Denomination of Origin mezcal miniature, Talavera seal from Puebla. The regional product is paired with a card explaining the origin and the producer. Range USD 14–48 per kit.

Press list segmentation and shipping window

The Mexican press list segments into four tiers. The national broadsheets (El Universal, Reforma, Milenio) receive the full kit with the principal object. The financial and business press (El Financiero, El Economista, Expansión, Forbes México) receive the full kit with the data room. The trade press (Alto Nivel, Mundo Ejecutivo, the sector-specific titles) receive the full kit with the trade-specific Q&A. The regional press and the digital-native outlets receive a streamlined kit with the press release, the fact sheet and the QR code to the secure download. Each tier has a different budget and a different personalisation.

For international press offices that ship the kit to Mexican journalists from abroad, we coordinate the international shipping via DHL Mexico or FedEx Mexico with the CFDI 4.0 comercio exterior complemento and the export documentation. The press kit ships 7–10 days before the press conference for the national broadsheets, 5–7 days before for the financial and business press, and 3–5 days before for the regional and digital outlets. Embargo is lifted on the press conference day.

FAQ — press kits

What's the standard press kit size?

60–120 pieces for a national announcement (the four tiers above). 24–60 pieces for a regional announcement. 8–24 pieces for a niche trade or lifestyle announcement. Below 8 pieces, we recommend a single personalised gift instead of a full kit.

Can the kit be bilingual?

Yes — the printed materials are bilingual (ES / EN) for the international outlets and the trade press. The principal object is language-neutral. The card and the certificate can be bilingual when the kit is shipped to the international press offices.

Can the kit be shipped abroad to the international press offices?

Yes — we coordinate international shipping via DHL Mexico or FedEx Mexico with the CFDI 4.0 comercio exterior complemento and the export documentation. The embargo lifts on the press conference day regardless of the shipping date.

Can the kit include a product sample?

Yes — for product launches, the kit carries a product sample (CPG sachet, beverage miniature, technology sample, automotive scale model). For corporate announcements, the kit carries a brand artefact instead. The sample is paired with the fact sheet and the photography.
