Q4 Package: the Buen Fin and aguinaldo quarter

Buen Fin is the most important commercial event of the year in Mexico: it is held on the long weekend of 15 to 18 November (four days) with promotions in physical and online stores in sectors such as retail, electronics, home appliances, fashion and services. The event is organised by the Ministry of Economy and the CCE (Consejo Coordinador Empresarial) with the participation of chambers and sector associations.
The Q4 package handles provision for Buen Fin with compliance with the Federal Law on Games and Lotteries when delivering pieces with commercial worth, compliance with the General Law on Administrative Responsibilities when the recipient is a public official, and compliance with Profeco rules on promotions and advertising. Aguinaldo under the LFT
The aguinaldo is a labour right of Mexican employees per article 87 of the Federal Labor Law: employees with more than one year of seniority in the corporate have the right to an aguinaldo equivalent to 15 days of salary, payable before 20 December of each year. For employees with less than one year of seniority, the aguinaldo is proportional to time worked. The aguinaldo can be delivered in cash or in kind: when delivered in kind, the value of the piece cannot exceed the cash aguinaldo amount.
The Q4 package handles the aguinaldo in kind with LFT compliance: CFDI 4.0 issuance with I02 office furniture and equipment or G03 general expenses use, signed acknowledgement from the employee, support for deduction as Institutional Relations expense per article 27 of the LISR. For corporates with IMMEX, the aguinaldo in kind is delivered at the Mexican plant with the IMMEX programme beneficiary registry compliance and Carta Porte 3.0 when the piece crosses the border for delivery to the employee at the US plant.
Run sizes, MOQ and Q4 production window
The Q4 package operates with consolidated runs per activation and a 60 day production window before the first delivery. For Buen Fin with runs from 200 units, the window closes 45 days before the event (typically 1 October for 15 November events). For aguinaldo in kind with runs from 100 units, the window closes 30 days before the first shipment (typically 1 November for 1 December deliveries). For year-end party with runs from 100 units, the window closes 30 days before the event (typically 1 November for 1 December events). For fiscal year closing with runs from 20 units, the window closes 30 days before closing (typically 1 December for 31 December closings).
The unit cost varies by piece and run. As Q4 budget reference: Buen Fin promoter kit from MXN $480 before VAT in runs of 50; aguinaldo in kind from MXN $1,200 before VAT in runs of 100; party attendee kit from MXN $640 before VAT in runs of 100; accountant kit from MXN $1,400 before VAT in runs of 20.
