External corp final bundle: the public face of the corporate outside the office

The external corp final bundle is built for Mexican corporates running recurring external events —trade shows, sector expo, product launch, press event, customer conference, open-house, family day— that need to deliver curated merch to attendees who interact with the brand outside the corporate walls. It's the kit the marketing, communications or commercial team delivers at the booth, the press room, the post-event cocktail or the demo session. The CFDI 4.0 invoice uses CFDI Uso G01 (acquisition of merchandise) when run as deductible commercial spend.

The external event as a brand showcase

The external event is the moment a Mexican corporate shows itself to its market, customers, press and competitors. The quality of merch delivered at the event signals the seriousness of the brand as much as the booth, presentation or CEO speech do. A corporate that delivers quality merch at its external event signals that it cares about the details; a corporate delivering generic or low-quality merch signals the opposite.

The external corp final bundle runs on five parallel tracks: confirmation of the creative concept with the marketing or communications team (6 to 8 weeks out), merch production with lead time (4 to 5 weeks out), transport to the venue with temporary warehousing (3 to 5 days before), on-site assembly with booth-positioning (1 day before) and on-event operations with replenishment and handover (event days).

The event is invoiced with CFDI 4.0 to the client's marketing or communications department using CFDI Uso G01 when treated as deductible commercial spend. For events with entertainment components (customer dinner, post-event cocktail, incentive travel) the invoice carries the specific description and segregates per recipient when the client needs per-event deductibility control.

External event types and kit adaptations

The Mexican corporate runs six main external event types that each need kit adaptations. The trade show or sector expo (typical Expo Guadalajara, Centro Banamex, Cintermex, Centro Citibanamex) runs with a functional kit for the general attendee, technical printed material and collectible merch for customers visiting the booth. The product launch (typical premium venue such as Hotel St. Regis, Four Seasons, Club de Banqueros) runs with a premium kit for press and VIP guests, sample product and curated experience.

The press event (typical venue such as Museo Soumaya, Museo Jumex, Centro Cultural Universitario) runs with an editorial kit carrying journalistic material, press release and a collectible piece. The customer conference (typical hotel venue with convention hall) runs with an informational kit with product material, customer agenda and gift piece. The open-house (typical plant, distribution centre or client office) runs with a family kit with adult piece and child piece, depending on the event.

For events crossing the border (typical international trade shows in the US under USMCA, or export events with Latin American clients) we run international courier with the Carta Porte 3.0 complement and invoicing in USD or MXN per the client's fiscal regime. Delivery is coordinated with the fiscal and customs calendar to avoid delays at the northern border or departure airport.

For events with sustainability components (typical corporates with ESG commitments) we handle pieces with recycled or fair-trade materials, compostable or reusable packaging and the supporting documentation for the ESG report. The invoice carries each piece's specific description and certification.

Pricing, MOQ and timelines

Pricing in MXN before 16% IVA. The general attendee kit starts at $380 MXN per unit at MOQ 100 pieces. The press and comms kit starts at $850 MXN at MOQ 25 pieces. The VIP customer kit starts at $2,250 MXN at MOQ 25 pieces. The strategic partner kit starts at $4,800 MXN at MOQ 10 pieces.

For corporates with a recurring external event schedule (typically groups with 4+ events per year) we run an annual contract with preferential pricing, reserved capacity for each event and a tracking dashboard with impact KPIs (attendees, leads generated, attendee satisfaction). The CFDI 4.0 invoice closes at the event end or on delivery with full commercial deductibility for the client.

FAQ — external corp final bundle

Can you handle merch assembly at the trade-show venue?

Yes. For trade shows and expos at venues such as Expo Guadalajara, Centro Banamex, Cintermex, Centro Citibanamex or Expo Santa Fe we run logistics with temporary warehousing, escorted transport to the booth, assembly with contact-point positioning and Corp-Merch.MX staff on site during the event for replenishment and handover. The invoice carries the client's fiscal address with the venue as delivery destination.

Can you handle merch for the post-event cocktail?

Yes. For events with a post-event cocktail or gala dinner with VIP customers and press we run a premium kit with gourmet product, CEO message and collectible packaging. The invoice segregates per recipient when the client needs per-event deductibility control. Coordination with the client's protocol team happens ahead of time to confirm the guest list and dietary restrictions.

Can you handle merch delivery to attendees who did not pick up at the event?

Yes. For attendees who register but do not pick up merch at the event (typical for tight agenda or rain) we run post-event shipping to the attendee's home via tracked courier with delivery confirmation. Invoicing segregates per recipient per the client's preference and applicable fiscal regime.

Do you handle collectible merch for annual events?

Yes. For annual events (recurring trade show, convention, open-house) we run collectible merch that changes year by year: year mug, aromatic candle with the year, plaque with edition number, collectible pins. The invoice carries the specific description and edition number. Coordination with marketing happens ahead of time to confirm the year's creative concept.

Can you handle merch for a press event with an official release?

Yes. For press events (launch, announcement, press conference) we run an editorial kit with the official release printed on high-quality paper, press dossier with photography and editorial material, numbered collectible piece for collectors and premium packaging with corporate seal. The invoice carries the journalistic material's specific description and is booked to the client's communications department.

Can you invoice merch as deductible advertising spend?

Yes. For corporates applying advertising-spend deductibility under Article 27 of the Income Tax Law, merch delivered at external events is issued with the supporting documentation the fiscal team needs: specific event description, date and venue, attendee count, total amount and proof of participation when applicable. The CFDI 4.0 invoice uses CFDI Uso G01 with the relevant complement.
