EU 2026 Q2 Package: the spring that puts Mexico back on the European trade-fair calendar
The second quarter reopens the European trade-fair calendar with three appointments that IMMEX plants from the Monterrey–Saltillo corridor and the Toluca–Lerma corridor treat as the start of the export promotion exercise. The Hannover Messe industrial fair runs from 13 to 17 April 2026 at the Hannover fairground in Germany, attracting the Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Energy and Automation areas of Mexican corporates with IMMEX plants in Ramos Arizpe, Saltillo and Apodaca. Hispack Barcelona from 12 to 15 May 2026 at Fira Gran Via brings together the Packaging, Wrapping and Industrial Process areas with export vocation. VivaTech Paris from 11 to 13 June 2026 at Porte de Versailles gathers innovation and Digital Transformation committees. The EU 2026 Q2 package attends the three fairs with differentiated provision, summer European logistics (including preparation for the post-Olympic Paris 2024 promotion still active), and compliance with export pedimento with Carta Porte 3.0.

Hannover Messe annually gathers more than 130,000 trade visitors and 4,000 exhibitors from 60 countries per data published by Deutsche Messe in its annual report. Mexico traditionally participates with a pavilion coordinated by the Secretariat of Economy and the ProMéxico office in Germany, where IMMEX plants from Saltillo, Ramos Arizpe and Apodaca converge for autoparts, electronics and medical devices. Hispack Barcelona attracts 25,000 trade visitors in its latest edition and is the main packaging, wrapping and industrial process fair in southern Europe. VivaTech Paris gathers 150,000 attendees from 120 countries and is the must-attend date for innovation committees of Mexican corporates investing in France.
The EU Q2 2026 package leverages the concentration of commercial missions to consolidate shipments per destination and reduce the unit cost of international transport. We operate a temporary warehouse in Hannover during fair week, a temporary warehouse in Barcelona during Hispack week and a temporary warehouse in Paris during VivaTech week, all with 24/7 security and consolidated corporate kit reception for redistribution to the different stands and missions.
Export pedimento, quarterly CBAM and Q2 trade compliance
SAT invoicing for shipments toward the European Union is issued with the foreign-trade complement when the destination is a non-USMCA country, with 0% VAT rate and export pedimento breakdown. The temporary export pedimento is used when the kit returns to Mexico at fair end; the definitive export pedimento is used when the kit stays with the client or collaborator in Europe. Carta Porte 3.0 covers land transit from the Ramos Arizpe or Apodaca plant to the Nuevo Laredo or Piedras Negras border with complement of vehicle, operator and goods identification. The local customs broker at destination handles import clearance and local VAT with destination payment or exemption with temporary waybill.
CBAM Phase 2 compliance applies from 1 January 2026 to European imports of products with significant embedded carbon. IMMEX autoparts and metal-mechanics plants must demonstrate quarterly carbon traceability in each shipment through declaration to the authorised European importer. Corp-Merch.MX coordinates with the customs broker in Hannover the issuance of the quarterly CBAM declaration in Spanish and German, stamped by the authorised expert and validated by the binational chamber. The promotional piece delivered at the fair does not trigger CBAM when its value does not exceed the declaration thresholds, but the corporate with IMMEX plant must declare the technical piece delivered to the European client.
