Pharma & life-sciences quality · COFEPRIS, GMP, FDA-aligned, NOM-073, clinical record, USMCA

Corp 81 final bundle: the kit your Mexican pharmaceutical corporation hands a new hire the moment they sign the clean-room entry form on day one

A Mexican pharma and life-sciences corporation — a lab with COFEPRIS authorization to produce generics, a medical-device maker with FDA registration for US export, a biotech with biologics manufacturing authorization, a cosmetics maker under NOM-073-SSA1-2015, a controlled-pharmaceutical distributor — hires a steady stream of engineers, quality officers, risk analysts and clean-room operators who sign the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) entry form in their first week. The corp 81 final bundle includes a white lab coat with stainless-steel closures, lab safety goggles, sterile nitrile gloves, an ID card and COFEPRIS badge, GMP procedures manual and an FDA-aligned batch-documentation manual for USMCA exports. We issue the CFDI 4.0 invoice under clave G03 as a quality investment, fully deductible under article 27 of the LISR.

Why pharma quality without clothing traceability fails the first COFEPRIS visit

The Ley General de Salud, the Ley Federal para el Control de Precursores Químicos and NOM-073-SSA1-2015 regulate the manufacturing, quality control and commercialization of medicines, medical devices and cosmetics in Mexico. COFEPRIS and the FDA (when applicable for US export under USMCA) run ordinary and extraordinary visits to verify that the corporation complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). NOM-073-SSA1-2015 and 21 CFR Part 211 of the FDA lay out the clothing, documentation and traceability requirements for production, quality and warehouse personnel.

The Mexican pharma and life-sciences corporation spends on average MXN 4,200 to 11,800 per quality hire on retail-purchased clothing that falls short of GMP, with no accounting record, no procedures manual and no batch traceability. The corp 81 final bundle turns that into a standardized kit with an invoice, certified clothing and manuals: the white lab coat with stainless-steel closures complies with GMP, the lab goggles shield eyes from splashes and UV light, the sterile nitrile gloves pass microbial barrier tests, the photocheck and COFEPRIS badge identify the worker on the production floor, the GMP procedures manual documents the first batch, the FDA batch-documentation manual satisfies USMCA.

For pharma corporations with active quality programmes (alliances with certifiers such as NSF, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 22716, COFEPRIS and FDA certifications) the kit ships with the project calendar and a QR linking to the in-house Quality platform. The People area pulls a dashboard with completion by area, kit-delivery rate and pass rate in internal audits. The invoice is broken out from HR and reported as a quality investment.

For pharma corporations with several legal entities and operations across multiple states (CDMX, Estado de México, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Puebla) the kit ships in a single order with batches segregated by RFC and per-entity invoicing. We ship with Castores, Tres Guerras or Paquetexpress — 3 to 5 business days to any city, with tracking and delivery confirmation. For deliveries into free-zone addresses (atypical for pharma, but possible for distributors with fiscal domicile in Quintana Roo) we apply 0% IVA with the free-zone SAT complement.

How we invoice the pharma kit under the LISR and COFEPRIS

The corp 81 final bundle runs on two billing models. The first is single-order per hire with CFDI 4.0 issued at month-end and per-line description, deductible as a quality expense. The second is an annual contract at a fixed unit price with delivery-driven invoicing each quarter, with the pagos complement at 30 days when the corporate runs credit lines.

The CFDI Uso depends on the client tax regime and the receiving area. For Régimen General with Quality or People area, we bill under clave G03 (general expenses) as a quality investment. For RESICO we bill under the same clave because the kit is treated as a regulatory human-capital investment. We validate with the Quality area before the first delivery to lock down the expense account and the right clave.

The 16% IVA breaks out per line in the CFDI 4.0. Deliveries into free-zone addresses (Quintana Roo or Baja California Sur with free-zone regime) calculate IVA at 0% and include the free-zone SAT complement with authorization number. Cross-border deliveries into the US under USMCA run at 0% IVA with the Comercio Exterior complement and the pedimento.

Cancellation or correction of the CFDI is processed within 24 hours of the request. For model or spec changes after delivery we handle replacement at additional charge with a fresh CFDI for the extra piece. Kits that go undelivered because the worker drops out before day one are invoiced only when Quality signed the order at least five business days in advance.

Sizing, colours and stock curve

The lab coat runs in CH through XXG with unisex cuts. The goggles are universal with adjustable elastic strap. The gloves run in CH through XXG with colour code. The photocheck and COFEPRIS badge are individual. For workers in cleanroom class ISO 5 we offer a full coverall with hood and shoe covers at a surcharge.

The clothing colours are locked in on the first order and held stable to build brand identity. The most common Mexican pharma combinations: white coat plus blue gloves for production; white coat plus green gloves for quality; white coat plus black gloves for warehouse and logistics; white coat plus yellow gloves for microbiology.

For pharma corporations with more than 30 quality hires per year we hold rotating stock in our warehouses with monthly replenishment. The corporate pays only when the hire date is confirmed — no minimum volume. Premium logistics run on Castores or Tres Guerras with 3 to 5 business day delivery to any city. For corporations with several legal entities we segregate batches by RFC and invoice per entity.

Pricing, MOQ and timelines

Pricing in MXN before 16% IVA. The corp 81 final bundle starts at MXN 4,890 per kit from an MOQ of 5. At 10 kits or more the unit drops to MXN 4,290. On annual contracts of more than 50 hires the unit drops to MXN 3,690 with safety stock reserved in our CDMX and Guadalajara warehouses. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is issued at month-end with full deductibility as a quality investment.

Production time is 12 to 15 business days for kits with personalization. Runs of more than 10 kits need 18 to 22 business days with scheduling six weeks ahead of the worker's start date. Delivery goes to the corporate's CDMX, Guadalajara or Monterrey office with Quality sign-off or directly to the worker with tracked shipping.

For corporations with several legal entities and centralized Quality, we run a consolidated kit with per-entity breakdown in a single invoice, lines split by RFC. For deliveries in CDMX, Guadalajara or Monterrey with prior sterilization, we schedule the appointment with the Quality area and deliver sealed in a double pouch.
