Corp 8 final bundle: the kit for the day the company opens its doors

The corp 8 final bundle marks the day a Mexican corporate opens a new site, an expanded plant or an additional floor: event t-shirt with date and city embroidered, ceramic mug with the local skyline, engraved steel thermos, notebook with the site's cover, commemorative acrylic plaque with the unit number and a USB with the official ribbon-cutting photo. The CFDI 4.0 invoice goes per event, deductible as inauguration and PR expense.

Why the corporate inauguration deserves a memorable kit

The corporate inauguration in Mexico is an event combining three audiences: employees moving to the new site (who need to feel belonging from day one), customers and suppliers invited to see the new facilities (who need to take away an impression of solidity), and local authorities (mayor, governor, business chamber) invited as a diplomatic gesture. Each audience receives a kit with different symbolic weight.

The employee kit at the new site is delivered first, ideally two weeks before the physical move. The event t-shirt works as a uniform during the first days, when the move is still in process and the cleaning and setup technical staff are on the premises. The mug and thermos carry the site name and date engraved, letting the employee take a piece of the site home or to their desk at the new office.

The invited customer kit is delivered during the tour of the new facilities. It's the kit that appears in the photograph the customer posts on LinkedIn, in the press article in the local paper, in the institutional video of the anniversary. The acrylic plaque with the unit number (e.g. "Santa Fe Site, Unit 001, 15 March 2026") is what the customer places on their desk or in the boardroom as a reminder of the event.

The local authority kit is more sober and ships as recognition of the visit. It typically includes a box with regional representative local products (wine, mezcal, coffee, chocolate) and a letter from the managing director thanking them for attending. This kit is invoiced with CFDI 4.0 and deducted as PR expense under Article 27 LISR, provided the corporate documents the event with a signed guest list.

How inaugurations get invoiced

The corporate office inauguration is invoiced under USO CFDI G03 (general expenses) when the kit ships to employees as part of the internal event, or D02 (training) when tied to a new-site induction programme. For kits shipping to external customers and suppliers, it's invoiced with key G01 (merchandise acquisition) and deducted as promotion and PR expense.

The 16% IVA breaks out line by line on the CFDI 4.0. For IMMEX corporates inaugurating a site in free zone, IVA is set at 0% with the Free Zone complement attached. For interstate deliveries with Carta Porte, the Carta Porte 3.0 complement is attached with the shipping data. Supporting documentation includes a signed guest list, event photographs and an agenda signed by the managing director.

The corporate running recurring inaugurations (typical case of retail chains, banks, insurers) issues a single annual consolidated invoice for all inauguration kits in the year. The invoice breaks down by site, date and kit count. Deductibility operates under the same Article 27 LISR regardless of frequency. Documentation is preserved for 5 years for SAT review.

For events that include food and beverage consumption (typical inaugural toast case), the invoice goes out separately with key C01 (medical fees when applicable) or G03 per the service type. The corporate requests an invoice with IEPS breakdown when the event includes alcoholic beverages. The catering provider's RFC is included in the CFDI as third-party proof when applicable.

Event logistics for the inauguration

The corporate inauguration in Mexico follows a protocol consolidated since the 1980s. The event runs from 18:00 to 21:00 to let customers and suppliers attend after their workday. The typical duration is 2 to 3 hours with closing toast. Guest count varies between 80 (small site) and 500 (large corporate site or industrial plant).

The event includes ribbon-cutting protocol with local authority presence, guided tour of the new facilities, managing director's words, toast and reception. Catering is contracted with a local provider specialised in corporate events (Banquetes Gonzalez, Culinaria, Terraf Catering, depending on city). Live music (jazz trio or mariachi) is contracted 4 weeks in advance.

The internal communications team documents the event with professional photography and institutional video. Photography ships as high-resolution digital files within 48 hours and is archived in the corporate intranet. The 2 to 3 minute institutional video is edited within 2 weeks and published on the corporate YouTube channel or LinkedIn. The kit includes a USB with the audiovisual material for guests who request it.

For inaugurations with media presence (press, local TV), a press kit is prepared with informational dossier, high-resolution photography, corporate data and contacts directory. The press kit ships to reporters at registration. The corporate designates a spokesperson for interviews and a press coordinator who filters requests and coordinates statements. Media coverage is documented and filed with the event record.

Pricing, MOQ and timelines

In series of 500 kits for corporates with multiple inaugurations, the unit cost drops to $1,120 MXN with reserved capacity and consolidated delivery per site. The CFDI 4.0 invoice goes out with deductibility as inauguration and PR expense.

Delivery goes to the new site 24 to 48 hours before the event with temporary storage in a designated room. The kits are arranged at welcome tables or delivered at the end of the tour.

For corporates with multiple inaugurations during the year, we run an annual contract with preferential per-kit pricing, capacity reserved for peak seasons (September to November are the most common windows for new sites) and safety stock at our warehouses. Invoicing runs per event with per-piece breakdown and a signed event constancia from the managing director attached when required.

FAQ — corp 8 final bundle

Can you customise the city's skyline?

Yes. The skyline is customised with iconic buildings of the site's city. For CDMX: Torre Latinoamericana, Hemiciclo a Juarez, Cathedral, Angel de la Independencia, Torre Reforma. For Guadalajara: Cathedral, Hospicio Cabanas, Rotonda del Mar. For Monterrey: Cerro de la Silla, Macroplaza, Puente de la Unidad. For other cities, a representative local building is selected. The skyline customisation carries an additional cost of $85 MXN per kit when the design is new.

Can the acrylic plaque be installed outdoors?

Yes. The 10 mm acrylic plaque resists outdoor conditions (rain, sun, wind) without deteriorating. The laser engraving is permanent and doesn't wear with time. For outdoor installation, we recommend a 12 mm plate with additional UV treatment that prevents yellowing from prolonged sun exposure. The wooden base is treated with marine varnish to resist humidity.

Can you deliver ahead of the event for pre-distribution?

Yes. For employees working at the new site before the event, we deliver the kits 2 weeks ahead so they have time to learn the material and use it during the first working week. Distribution runs with tracked courier to the employee's home or with centralised delivery at the previous site. For external guests, kits are delivered on event day at the welcome table.

How is the inauguration invoiced with catering and music?

Catering and music are invoiced separately by the provider contracted by the corporate. The catering invoice is issued with key C01 when it includes prepared food, or G03 when it includes full service. The music invoice is issued with key G03. The inauguration kit is invoiced by Corp-Merch.MX as the branded merchandise provider. The corporate requests a consolidated invoice from its event provider to simplify fiscal control.

Do you run differentiated kits per audience?

Yes. For employees, kit with t-shirt + mug + thermos + notebook. For customers, kit with premium mug + engraved thermos + acrylic plaque + USB with video. For authorities, premium kit with local products box + engraved plaque + managing director's letter. Each kit has a different price and is invoiced separately under the same event. The consolidated invoice includes breakdown by audience and kit type.

Do you handle industrial-plant inaugurations with IMMEX protocol?

Yes. For IMMEX corporates inaugurating a plant in free zone, the kit ships inside the fiscal precinct at 0% IVA with the Free Zone complement. The ceremony runs with customs authorities (ANAM), a SAT representative and the business chamber (INDEX, CANACINTRA). The kit includes traditional Mexican welcome elements (bread and salt, regional music band) plus the standard corporate material.
