Corp 5 final bundle: the kit for the person who works in two places

The corp 5 final bundle solves the operational problem of the Mexican corporate running a post-pandemic hybrid model: the employee who no longer lives in the office but can't operate only from home. The kit ships active-noise-cancelling over-ear headphones, Full HD 1080p webcam with integrated microphone, 7-port USB-C hub with fast charging, ergonomic laptop stand with ventilation, technical backpack with dual compartments, and USB-charging LED desk lamp. The CFDI 4.0 invoice goes per employee, deductible as operating expense or work equipment.

Hybrid work in Mexico and what NOM-037 says

NOM-037-STPS-2023 establishes the safety and health conditions for people working in teleworking, home office and remote-work modalities in Mexico. The standard obliges the employer to provide the necessary work equipment (computer, ergonomic chair, accessories) and to cover connectivity and electricity costs proportional to work use. Equipment delivery is documented with an act signed by both the employee and the employer.

The Mexican corporate running a hybrid model must distinguish between three employee types: those working exclusively at the office (traditional model), those working exclusively from home (full remote), and those alternating between home and office (hybrid). Each type has different equipment needs. The corp 5 final bundle is specifically designed for the hybrid employee who needs professional-grade portable equipment that moves between the two spaces without losing functionality.

The corporate that complies with NOM-037 documents the delivery with an assignment act format that includes equipment description, commercial value, delivery date, commitment to return at end of employment relationship and employee liability for damage or loss. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is issued as operating expense under key G03 (general expenses) or as fixed asset when the equipment has a useful life above one fiscal year.

For corporates that opt for the "commodatum assignment" figure (loan of equipment without transfer of ownership), the equipment is invoiced with USO CFDI S01 (no fiscal effects) because it is not a sale but a temporary assignment. The corporate retains ownership of the equipment and registers it as fixed asset. At the end of the employment relationship, the equipment is returned to the corporate's inventory.

How hybrid work gets invoiced

Equipment for the hybrid employee is invoiced under two modes per corporate policy. The first is operating expense: the kit is invoiced with USO CFDI G03 (general expenses) and deducted as period expense when unit value is below $2,500 MXN per piece and useful life is under one year. The second is fixed asset: when unit value exceeds $2,500 MXN per piece or useful life is over one year, it's invoiced with the fixed-asset complement and depreciated fiscally.

For corporates that opt for the commodatum assignment, the kit is invoiced with USO CFDI S01 (no fiscal effects) and documented with a signed assignment act. The corporate retains ownership and registers the equipment in depreciable fixed assets. At end of the employment relationship, the equipment returns to inventory. The difference between assignment and sale is relevant for the IVA treatment.

The 16% IVA breaks out line by line on the CFDI 4.0. For deliveries to employees in free zone (IMMEX corporates), IVA is set at 0% with the Free Zone complement. For deliveries with Carta Porte across state lines (the case of employees in different states), the Carta Porte 3.0 complement is attached with the carrier's data and origin-destination.

Supporting documentation includes: signed assignment act, equipment connection guide, proof of delivery to the employee's home, photograph of installed equipment (when policy requires), and serial number registration in the corporate asset system. This documentation is preserved for 5 years for SAT review and filed with the employee's record.

Home delivery logistics

The hybrid corporate delivers the kit directly to the employee's home with express courier (DHL, FedEx, Estafeta). Delivery is scheduled 24 to 48 hours ahead and requires employee confirmation to receive the package. Delivery hours run Monday to Friday 9:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 9:00 to 14:00 in urban zones. For extended or rural zones, we schedule with local courier and extend the timeline.

Corporates with employees across multiple cities can request consolidated delivery by regional site: all kits for Monterrey go to a single address (the regional office or a coordinator's home) and the corporate distributes internally. This mode cuts shipping cost by 40 to 60% and lets the corporate verify the equipment before handing it to the employee.

For employees in cities with limited courier coverage (typical case of rural or small-town employees in the southeast), we run delivery with dedicated transport and 3 to 5 business day transit. The additional cost for extended shipping is quoted separately and invoiced as an additional line under the same CFDI. The courier operates with shipping insurance for the declared equipment value.

For employees who change home address during the assignment period (relocation, move, return to office), the corporate can request reshipment of the equipment to the new address with additional shipping cost. The address update is documented with a recent proof of address (light, water, phone bill) and filed with the employee's record. The equipment keeps the same serial number and asset registration.

Pricing, MOQ and timelines

Pricing in MXN before 16% IVA. The corp 5 final bundle starts at $8,450 MXN per unit from MOQ 10 employees. In series of 50 kits or more, the unit cost drops to $7,890 MXN. In annual contracts above 200 kits for a corporate with stable hybrid model, the unit cost drops to $7,150 MXN with safety stock and 5-business-day delivery SLA. The CFDI 4.0 invoice goes out with deductibility as operating expense or depreciable fixed asset.

Production runs 12 to 15 business days for kits with minimal personalisation (tech components don't get personalised). Series above 100 kits require 18 to 22 business days with a 4-week lead time before the hybrid model starts. Home delivery goes out 3 to 5 business days after order confirmation with tracked courier.

For IMMEX corporates with employees in free zones, we run cross-border delivery from Tijuana at 0% IVA with the Free Zone complement. Transit time is 24 to 48 hours within the Tijuana, Mexicali and Nogales metro areas. For deliveries to employees in free zones of other states, the timeline extends to 3 business days with cross-state Carta Porte.

FAQ — corp 5 final bundle

How is delivery documented for NOM-037 compliance?

The corporate delivers with an act signed by the employee that includes equipment description, commercial value, delivery date, commitment to work-exclusive use, liability for damage or loss, and commitment to return at the end of the employment relationship. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is filed with the record. The corporate keeps the act for 5 years as evidence against STPS inspection.

Can you replace pieces damaged in the first year?

Yes. The manufacturer warranty covers manufacturing defects for 1 to 2 years depending on component. For normal wear damage (battery wear, cable break), we run replacement at preferential cost. For accidental damage (drop, liquid spill), replacement is invoiced to the employee per the corporate's internal policy. The incident documentation is filed with the employee's record.

Does the webcam work with Mac and Windows?

Yes. The webcam is plug and play with Windows 10/11, macOS 11 or later and recent Linux distributions. No driver install required. Compatible with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex and Skype. Maximum resolution is 1080p at 30 fps, sufficient for corporate video calls. The integrated microphone carries environmental noise reduction for home-office use with domestic noise.

Do the headphones handle long conference calls?

Yes. The 30-hour battery life with ANC on covers a full week of 4-hour daily conference calls without recharging. The USB-C fast charge (10 minutes for 5 hours) allows opportunity charging between meetings. The dual microphones with noise cancellation pick up voice clearly in noisy environments. Multipoint pairing connects with laptop and phone simultaneously.

How is the return of equipment at end of employment handled?

The return doesn't generate an invoice because the equipment returns to the corporate's inventory. It's documented with a return act signed by the employee and HR, verifying equipment condition and recording any damage. If the equipment has damage attributable to the employee, repair or replacement is invoiced with CFDI 4.0 to the employee's name under USO CFDI P01 (per corporate internal policies).

Can you add an ergonomic chair to the kit?

Yes. For hybrid employees needing an ergonomic chair for NOM-037 compliance, we add an ergonomic chair with adjustable lumbar support, pneumatic height, synchronized recline, 4D armrests and aluminium base to the package. The additional price is $6,800 MXN for the domestic chair with NOM-026-STPS compliance or $14,500 MXN for the premium imported chair with BIFMA compliance. Delivery goes directly to the employee's home.
