Corp Pack 20 final: the gift from the Mexican corporate to the customer who carries the account

The VIP loyalty program is where the Mexican corporate recognizes the customers who buy above a certain annual threshold —the top 100 customers typically represent between 35 and 55% of the corporate's billing—. Corp Pack 20 final is delivered at a gala dinner or private recognition event: hand-stitched leather agenda with gold leaf, executive-line roller pen, leather passport holder, rigid gift box lined with fabric and a personalized CEO letter. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is issued as a public-relations gift with deduction under customer-loyalty expense and supporting documentation for Anti-Money-Laundering Law compliance when the gift exceeds a certain amount.

Why the VIP gift defines the customer's next decade

The Mexican corporate that has a VIP customer on its books faces an operational dilemma: how to recognize a level of commitment that is already sustained by product and service quality, without making the recognition feel transactional or commercial. A well-chosen VIP gift communicates three things to the customer: that the company knows who he is, that the level of detail is consistent with the value of the relationship, and that the relationship holds beyond the next purchase order. A generic gift (basket of sweets, unlabeled wine) communicates the opposite.

Corp Pack 20 final operates at two recognition tiers. The gold tier is for Top 50 customers with more than five years with the corporate: leather agenda with gold leaf, roller pen engraved with customer name, passport holder with initials, gift box in fabric with personalized CEO letter. The silver tier is for Top 51-100 customers with two to five years: leather agenda without gold leaf, roller pen with standard engraving, corporate passport holder, standard gift box with commercial director letter.

For VIP customers that cross borders (typical for corporates with US, Canada, Colombia or Chile customers), the gift is shipped via international courier with declared-value insurance and gift letter for customs. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is issued only for the Mexican portion of the gift; international customers receive the gift without a domestic invoice with compliance with the receiving country's local regulations when the gift exceeds the declaration threshold.

Compliance with the Mexican Anti-Money-Laundering Law (LFPIORPI) requires supporting documentation when the VIP gift exceeds 500,000 MXN unit value: corporate charter, official ID of the recipient, proof of address, declaration of origin of resources. For gifts between 100,000 and 500,000 MXN, a letter of acknowledgment signed by the recipient is required. For gifts below 100,000 MXN, the CFDI 4.0 invoice and signed delivery receipt are sufficient.

How the VIP gift is invoiced and deducted

Corp Pack 20 final is invoiced as CFDI 4.0 issued at batch close. The USO CFDI key depends on the receiving department and on the type of recognition. For gifts delivered by the commercial area as part of the loyalty program, it is billed as G03 (general expense) with deduction under public-relations and loyalty expense. For gifts delivered by the marketing area as part of a brand campaign, it is billed as P01 (advertising).

CFDI cancellation or correction due to VIP customer list changes is processed within 24 hours with motivo 02. For gifts added at the last minute (typical for a customer closing a deal in the last quarter), we keep a backup kit with additional charge and a new CFDI for the additional piece. The gift not delivered due to address change is charged only if the shipping confirmation was signed by the commercial team 5 business days in advance.

For gifts exceeding the Anti-Money-Laundering Law (LFPIORPI) compliance threshold, supporting documentation includes corporate charter, official ID of the recipient, proof of address and declaration of origin of resources. For gifts between 100,000 and 500,000 MXN, a letter of acknowledgment signed by the recipient is required. The CFDI 4.0 invoice includes the corresponding USO key and the per-line breakdown with unit value of each piece.

For multi-entity corporates, the VIP gift is invoiced per entity with separate lines per RFC and delivered in an independent box labeled by company. Stock consolidation happens 8 weeks ahead for runs above 50 gifts and 6 weeks for runs below 50. Logistics uses specialized courier (DHL Express, FedEx Priority) with recipient-signed confirmation.

Gift curve, personalization and compliance thresholds

The VIP program operates with a standard curve of 50-100 gifts per year. For corporates with a broad Top 100, the curve is 50 gold tier + 50 silver tier. For corporates with concentrated Top 50, the curve is 30 gold tier + 20 silver tier with extras for the top 5. For corporates with regional program (Mexico + LATAM), the curve includes 20 gold tier + 30 silver tier distributed across regions per billing.

Personalizations confirm 14 business days ahead for gold tier and 10 business days for silver tier. The confirmation includes full customer name, initials for the holder, delivery address with RFC for invoicing and personalized CEO letter hand-signed. The card is signed with a quality roller pen and indelible ink, and documented with a photo before shipping.

The Anti-Money-Laundering Law (LFPIORPI) thresholds are: gifts below 100,000 MXN are documented with CFDI 4.0 invoice and delivery receipt; gifts between 100,000 and 500,000 MXN require letter of acknowledgment signed by the recipient; gifts above 500,000 MXN require full documentation (corporate charter, official ID, proof of address, declaration of origin of resources). Specific legal advice on compliance is recommended for gifts in the upper threshold.

For VIP customers who prefer leather-free options (typical for vegan customers or those with religious restrictions), we manage an alternative line with waxed canvas, wool felt or walnut wood finishes. Personalization is maintained with laser engraving or gold stamping on the alternative materials. Availability of the alternative line confirms 12 business days ahead due to material import lead times.
