Corp 125 final bundle: the aguinaldo the Mexican employee opens with pride

The corp 125 final bundle replaces the traditional envelope with a year-end gift box the employee opens on December 12 or at the closing party. Premium cardboard box with laser-engraved name, Casa Madero wine or artisanal Panettone per the employee's religion, personalised recognition card, donation certificate to the Carlos Slim Foundation. The CFDI 4.0 invoice goes with 16% IVA and welfare-recognition deductibility.

The Mexican aguinaldo and the Q4 recognition culture

Article 87 of the Federal Labour Law obliges every Mexican employer to pay aguinaldo before 20 December, equivalent to 15 days' salary at minimum. Corporate practice complements the cash payment with a tangible gift the employee opens at the closing party or takes home to share with the family. The Mexican corporate allocates between 2% and 5% of the welfare budget to the year-end gift, with an average ticket of MXN 1,500 to 5,000 per employee depending on hierarchical level.

The corp 125 final bundle solves three problems the traditional envelope doesn't: personalised recognition (the box carries the employee's name engraved), religious or cultural option (wine for Catholic employees, Panettone for employees of other traditions, alcohol-free for pregnant women or non-drinkers), and social impact (10% of the cost is donated to the Carlos Slim or Telmex Foundation with deductible donation certificate). The corporate reports the spend as welfare and recognition under Article 27 LISR.

Delivery concentrates between 5 and 19 December, just before the aguinaldo payment. The national corporate coordinates deliveries per site with specialised carriers: 1–3 days for deliveries in CDMX, Monterrey and Guadalajara; 2–5 days for smaller-city deliveries. The box ships wrapped with the corporate seal; the employee doesn't know the contents until opening it at the closing party.

For corporates with IMMEX plants or employees in free zones, the gift ships within national territory without crossing the border, avoiding customs complications. The multinational corporate with operations in Mexico and other Latam countries can request the equivalent kit in other markets under the same annual contract. The CFDI 4.0 invoice goes per delivery with per-piece and per-site breakdown.

Deductible donation certificate

Donation certificate to the Carlos Slim or Telmex Foundation for MXN 200 (10% of kit cost), with SAT-registered donation folio, corporate RFC, foundation RFC, donation amount and date. The donation credits against SAT as deductible under Article 27 LISR. The certificate is filed with the corporate's tax record for the annual return.

How the tangible aguinaldo is invoiced

The corp 125 final bundle invoices under USO CFDI D02 when booked as training expense, or G03 when booked as welfare-recognition expense. The invoice carries 16% national IVA. For corporates with operations in the northern border zone, 8% IVA applies with Border Zone complement. The invoice breaks down by piece with unit value, broken-out IVA and total per site.

The Mexican corporate deducts the year-end gift as welfare expense under Article 27 LISR, with a cap equivalent to 47% of the current general minimum wage per employee (approximately MXN 1,620 monthly in 2026). For gifts above that value, the excess is treated as employee income and taxed as taxed income in the annual return. The CFDI 4.0 invoice serves as supporting documentation of the expense and as proof of delivery to the employee.

The corporate with international operations in Mexico (which is most) can manage the tangible aguinaldo as expense of the permanent establishment in Mexico, with deduction against ISR of the same year. The CFDI 4.0 invoice goes in MXN and is filed with the corporate tax record. The donation certificate to the Carlos Slim or Telmex Foundation is filed with the SAT record for the corporate annual return.

Closing calendar and party logistics

The Mexican corporate runs the Q4 closing party between 5 and 19 December, just before the aguinaldo payment. Kit delivery is scheduled 3 to 5 days before the party so the employee receives the box and opens it during the event. The national corporate coordinates deliveries per site with specialised carriers.

The corporate with 100 to 5,000 employees runs scheduled deliveries by region: north (Monterrey, Tijuana, Chihuahua, Saltillo, Ciudad Juárez), central (CDMX, Guadalajara, Querétaro, León, Puebla), south (Cancún, Mérida, Oaxaca, Veracruz). Delivery to central office runs with 1–3 day transit, while delivery to regional office runs with 2–5 day transit.

Production runs 15 to 20 business days for series of 100 kits or more, with 20 to 25 days for series above 1,000 kits. For corporates requesting the kit with less than 3 weeks notice, we run a minimum batch of 50 kits with 8–10 business days production time. Urgent delivery operates with extra charge for reduced production time and express carrier.

FAQ — corp 125 final bundle

Can you substitute the wine for another option?

Yes. For pregnant women, employees recovering from alcoholism, or non-drinkers by religion or culture, we substitute the wine with Panettone, non-alcoholic grape juice or Cacao Barry chocolate box. The substitution is indicated at employee registration with no additional cost. For corporates with alcohol-free policy, we run a 100% non-alcoholic version with Panettone + chocolates + artisanal café de olla.

Is the donation certificate deductible?

Yes. The donation certificate to the Carlos Slim or Telmex Foundation is registered with SAT as a deductible donation under Article 27 LISR. The donation credits in the corporate annual return. For corporates preferring another foundation (UNICEF Mexico, Fundación Televisa, CRIT, Cumbres, etc.), we run donations to other organisations with deductible constancia.

Can you include the corporate logo on the box?

Yes. The box carries hot-stamping of the corporate logo on the outer lid, in gold, silver or copper per the corporate palette. For corporates requiring additional identification (RFC, slogan, careers-site URL), engraving runs on inner lid at an extra cost of MXN $35 per box. Production extends by 2 business days for the additional engraving.

What is the tangible-aguinaldo deductibility cap?

The tangible aguinaldo (year-end gift) is deductible up to an amount equivalent to 47% of the current general minimum wage per employee, multiplied by the period days. In 2026, the approximate cap is MXN 1,620 monthly per employee, which allows deducting without taxing the employee up to approximately MXN 19,440 annually. For higher-value gifts, the excess is treated as taxed income and integrated into the employee's payroll.

Do you ship to more than 20 cities?

Yes. We ship to more than 80 Mexican cities through specialised carriers (DHL, FedEx, Estafeta, Castores, Tresguerras). For remote-area deliveries (Tapachula, Chetumal, Los Mochis, Guaymas, Matamoros), we use local carriers with 3–5 day transit. The invoice goes from the central warehouse with per-destination and shipping-cost breakdown.
