Corp 106 final bundle: the first day at an IMMEX plant

The corp 106 final bundle resolves the first day of an engineer, technician or operator joining an IMMEX plant in northern Mexico: NOM-004-STPS uniform with embroidery, certified personal protective equipment, backpack with bilingual document kit, flask engraved with the hiring site, internal ID plate. The CFDI 4.0 invoice carries key E48 and the deductibility runs under Article 27 of the LISR as an expense strictly indispensable in the export-manufacturing activity.

The first day at an IMMEX plant and the learning curve

IMMEX plants along the Tijuana-Mexicali, Ciudad Juarez, Monterrey-Saltillo and Reynosa corridors bring on between 80 and 350 new hires each month. The first day defines the retention of the technician, the operator and the process engineer. A poorly executed onboarding costs between $35,000 and $90,000 MXN for every voluntary resignation during the first quarter, considering recruiting, NOM-STPS training and wasted ramp-up time.

The Mexican IMMEX corporate competes for talent with Asian maquiladoras in Vietnam and Malaysia, where wages are 40% lower but the learning curve is often twice as long. The Mexican differentiator is the time between joining the payroll and signing off on the first production line. Cutting that window from 14 to 4 days is the main retention lever, and the corp 106 final bundle delivers the tangible kit that accelerates the process.

The bundle is delivered when the worker joins the payroll under the TIM (Initial Mexican Worker) or TAM (Mexican Support Worker) contract that fits the IMMEX sub-program at the corporate. For the IMMEX services sub-program the bundle adapts to the software engineer or consultant profile. For the IMMEX manufacturing sub-program the bundle focuses on operator and technician. For the IMMEX shelter sub-program the heavy PPE is replaced by a room kit and lighter personal protection.

The handoff happens at the plant HR module with signature and a photograph of the new hire in uniform. The uniform complies with NOM-004-STPS-1999 on identifying the capacities and characteristics of PPE. The backpack comes with a bilingual document kit that includes the employee manual in Spanish and English, the code of conduct, the information security policy (for IMMEX services), and the internal business card with phone extension and direct supervisor.

Components of the corp 106 final bundle

The kit is assembled to the profile of the hire: line operator, maintenance technician, process engineer, quality engineer, or shift supervisor. Each profile has its own variations of the uniform, the PPE and the document kit.

NOM-004 uniform embroidered with internal badge

Shirt and pants (or smock and pants) in fluid-resistant fabric, corporate colour by area (blue for production, grey for quality, orange for maintenance), embroidered with the corporate logo, technician name and a laminated internal badge with a QR access code. Sizes from XS to 4XL. A women's cut is available for female staff. The uniform complies with NOM-004-STPS-1999 and includes reflective tape for shop-floor areas.

PPE certified by an authorised provider

3M H-700 helmet or equivalent with chin strap, anti-fog safety glasses, 3M E-A-R earplugs or equivalent for areas above 85 dB, gloves by area (nitrile for assembly, leather for metal handling, dielectric for electrical maintenance), industrial boots with steel toe and NOM-003-STPS-1999 certification. The PPE is delivered in a transparent bag with a label of the profile and employee number.

Corporate backpack with bilingual document kit

Reinforced canvas backpack with 15-inch laptop compartment, embroidered with the corporate logo and the technician name. Includes the employee manual in Spanish and English, code of conduct, information security policy (for IMMEX services), internal business card, pen-and-pencil set, professional lined notebook, encrypted 32 GB USB with the digital Welcome Packet, and car decal with QR code to the intranet.

Engraved flask and identification plate

600 ml stainless steel flask laser-engraved with the technician name, site (Tijuana, Juarez, Monterrey, Reynosa, Matamoros) and employee number. Internal ID plate with photo, name, department, supervisor and validity date. Night-shift staff also receive a rechargeable LED headlamp with helmet clip. The plate acts as the plant ID during STPS audits or client visits.

How the IMMEX onboarding kit is invoiced

The corp 106 final bundle is invoiced under CFDI use key G03 (general expenses) with a line-by-line breakdown. The deductibility runs under Article 27 of the LISR as an expense strictly indispensable in export-manufacturing activity. For IMMEX corporates under the free-zone regime, the IVA is rated at 0% with the Free Zone complement attached to CFDI 4.0. For corporates outside the free zone the standard 16% IVA applies.

The uniform and PPE are invoiced with product key E48 (work equipment) or H89 (goods not covered in other articles) depending on the piece. The backpack and flask are invoiced under key E46 (goods not classified). The document kit is invoiced as onboarding training service under key H87 (training) when the corporate wants to integrate the deduction as a training expense.

For corporates with the Carta Porte 3.0 obligation, the kit delivery between corporate warehouses attaches the Carta Porte complement to the CFDI 4.0 with shipment data. For international deliveries (the case of IMMEX corporates with US parents), the foreign trade complement is attached with the temporary or definitive import pedimento depending on the corporate regime and payment of IGI when applicable.

The corporate with a standard onboarding policy issues one consolidated monthly invoice for all the month's intakes. The invoice shows the breakdown by employee, site, hire date and individual amount. The deductibility runs under the same Article 27 of the LISR regardless of frequency. The supporting documentation includes the HR-signed intake list, the TIM or TAM contract copy, and the NOM-009-STPS-2011 training certificate.

The IMMEX programme and its sub-programs

The IMMEX programme (Industria Manufacturera, Maquiladora y de Servicios de Exportacion) is composed of four sub-programs with different onboarding implications. The manufacturing sub-program applies to corporates that make tangible products for export (the typical case: automotive harnesses, medical devices, home appliances). The services sub-program applies to corporates that export services (typical case: software development, consulting, industrial design). The shelter sub-program applies to corporates that temporarily import inputs for maintenance. The new IMMEX sub-program applies to corporates just starting export operations.

The IMMEX manufacturing corporate has a specific tax regime: 0% IVA on export sales, the option to temporarily import inputs, accelerated IVA refund and immediate deductibility of fixed assets. Operator and technician onboarding focuses on line productivity, assembly quality and NOM-STPS compliance. Initial training lasts 8 to 16 hours depending on the area and is documented with the DC-3 certificate.

The IMMEX services corporate has a similar tax regime but onboarding focuses on development tools, Agile or PMP methodology, and end-client information handling. The document kit includes a bilingual employee manual, code of conduct, information security policy (PSI) and a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) signed at intake. The learning curve in IMMEX services is 30% longer than in manufacturing, which makes the tangible kit of the corp 106 final bundle especially relevant.

For corporates with dual sub-programs (manufacturing plus services), the corp 106 final bundle is personalised with elements from both. The uniform is the same, the PPE focuses on the specific work area, the backpack includes tools by profile (measuring tape and caliper for manufacturing, laptop and accessories for services). The invoice runs with deduction under Article 27 LISR and the Free Zone complement is attached when the corporate operates under the free-zone regime.

FAQ — corp 106 final bundle

Does the uniform comply with NOM-004-STPS-1999?

Yes. The uniform complies with NOM-004-STPS-1999 on identifying the capacities and characteristics of PPE. The PPE comes with the manufacturer's technical sheet and the NOM compliance certificate. The documentation is attached to the employee's file and kept for 5 years as support in case of an STPS audit or inspector visit.

Does the kit work for IMMEX services?

Yes. For IMMEX services the kit is adapted to the software engineer or consultant profile: the industrial PPE is replaced by an office kit (ergonomic chair with logo, noise-cancelling headphones, backpack with laptop compartment) and a document kit is added with the information security policy and NDA. The invoice runs under the same CFDI key G03 and the same Article 27 LISR deduction.

Do you offer large sizes and women's cuts?

Yes. We carry uniforms from XS to 4XL for men and sizes 24 to 36 for women in a dedicated cut. The PPE (boots, helmet, gloves) is adjusted to the anthropometric measurements of the worker. For staff with specific needs (orthopedic footwear, beard-friendly helmet, prescription glasses with side protection) we run specialised PPE versions with a differential quote.

How is it invoiced when the corporate sits in a free zone?

For IMMEX corporates under the free-zone regime, the IVA is rated at 0% with the Free Zone complement attached to the CFDI 4.0. The invoice runs with deduction under Article 27 LISR regardless of the IVA regime. Deductibility is the same for the free zone and the rest of the country. The documentation includes the free-zone decree, the IMMEX operations notice and the NOM-STPS compliance certificate.

Can you deliver to a plant with Carta Porte?

Yes. Delivery to the plant attaches the Carta Porte 3.0 complement to the CFDI 4.0 with shipment data: origin, destination, vehicle, operator, value of the goods and weight. For deliveries between plants of the same IMMEX corporate, the complement is filled with simplified data. For deliveries from the supplier to the corporate, the complement is filled with full transporter data.

Do you offer shelter-sub-program versions?

Yes. For the IMMEX shelter sub-program the kit focuses on the room and light PPE. The industrial PPE is replaced by a room kit (sheets, towel, soap, personal hygiene kit) and light personal protection (cap, sunglasses, reflective vest). The backpack is replaced by a corporate suitcase with the corporate logo. The invoice runs under the same CFDI key and deduction.
