Asia 2026 Q2 Package: Canton Fair, Tokyo Summit and Singapore Asia Tech, the Asian spring
The second quarter of 2026 reopens the Asia-Pacific dialogue with three appointments that Mexican IMMEX plants with clients in mainland China, Japan and Southeast Asia treat as mandatory. The first is the 137th session of the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), held in Guangzhou from 15 April to 5 May 2026 in three phases (Phase 1 15–19 April with electronics, machinery and industrial products; Phase 2 23–27 April with daily consumer goods, gifts and home decoration; Phase 3 1–5 May with textile, clothing and footwear). The second is the Tokyo Summit Q2 that the JETRO Mexico office organises in Tokyo at the end of April to present Mexican corporates the priorities of the 2026–2027 Japanese fiscal year. The third is Singapore Asia Tech xGov held in Singapore from 27 to 29 May 2026, a combined technology and public-governance mission that attracts innovation committees from Mexican corporates investing in Southeast Asia. The Asia 2026 Q2 package attends the three missions with differentiated provision and consolidated logistics.

The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) has been held since 1957 in Guangzhou, China, and is the main foreign-trade fair in the world by number of exhibitors and trade visitors. In its 136th session of 2025 it received more than 200,000 buyers from 210 countries and gathered 30,000 Chinese exhibitors in 1.5 million square metres of fair surface distributed in three thematic phases. Mexico traditionally participates with a pavilion coordinated by the Secretariat of Economy and the ProMéxico office in China, where Mexican buyers converge with Chinese suppliers of electronics, machinery, consumer goods and textile.
The Tokyo Summit organised by JETRO Mexico attracts 250 Mexican and Japanese participants in its 2025 edition and has established itself as the main bilateral appointment at the kickoff of the Japanese fiscal year. Singapore Asia Tech xGov attracts 12,000 attendees from 60 countries and has positioned itself as the main Southeast Asian appointment for innovation and Digital Transformation committees of Mexican corporates investing in the region. The Asia Q2 2026 package leverages the three appointments to consolidate shipments per destination and reduce the unit cost of international transport.
