Mexico trade show calendar 2026: the operational guide to landing merch at the booth on time
Mexico hosts one of the densest trade-show calendars in Latin America. Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla, León, Querétaro, Tijuana and Mérida concentrate more than 280 trade shows and professional exhibitions every year, not counting tourism fairs, religious events and regional festivals. The difference between a trade show that pays off and one that does not is merch logistics: the welcome kit must be at the booth before doors open, the apparel must arrive with margin for fittings, and VIP gifts must be handed out at the closing dinner — not three days later by parcel courier.
Calendar by quarter
The first quarter (January-March) is strong in tourism, education and fashion. FITUR Mexico (international tourism fair, January in CDMX), the Education Fair and the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL, November-December, not Q1 but its pre-sales happen in Q1). Corp-Merch.MX produces for clients who use the start of the year to deliver kits to commercial teams returning from holidays.
The second quarter (April-June) is the year's densest. Expo Manufactura (April in Monterrey, Cintermex), Industrial Transformation Mexico (May in León, Poliforum), Expo ANTAD (April in Guadalajara, Expo Guadalajara), Expo Electrica (June in CDMX, Centro Citibanamex), Medical Expo (May in CDMX, WTC) and the Convención Nacional Bancaria rotating between Acapulco, Cancún and CDMX. This is the quarter where the Corp-Merch.MX workshop runs at full capacity, so we recommend booking at least 90 days in advance.
The third quarter (July-September) is lighter on industrial shows but strong in fashion, agri-food and e-mobility. Intermoda (July in Guadalajara, Expo Guadalajara), Expo Agroalimentaria (August in Irapuato), EV Mexico Summit (September in CDMX), The Green Expo (September in CDMX, WTC). This is the quarter where workshops have capacity for clients who plan Q4 shows.
The fourth quarter (October-December) is strong in tourism, technology and year-end. Tianguis Turístico (October, rotating), IBTM Americas (September-October in CDMX, Centro Citibanamex), Web Summit (November in CDMX if the venue confirms its continuity), Guadalajara Travel Show, and the closing with corporate-gifting fairs and year-end events. Corp-Merch.MX works intensely in the year-end run with client and employee gifting programmes.
Show by industry: the 12 you cannot skip

Technology and IT: INCmty (November in Monterrey, entrepreneurship festival), Talent Land (April in Guadalajara, Expo Guadalajara, developers and tech talent), Campus Party (rotating venue), Tianguis de la Innovación (CDMX), Expo Guadalajara Tech. For these events merch carries a heavier digital component: NFC wristbands, hydration bottles with chips, backpacks with integrated USB ports.

Corp-Merch.MX produces antimicrobial apparel for food handling and stainless-steel pieces for premium gifting.
Health and medical: Medical Expo (May in CDMX, WTC), Hospitalar (rotating venue in Latin America, sometimes in CDMX), Expo DENTAL (August in CDMX, Centro Citibanamex), and regional medical-device shows in Tijuana and Juárez. For health-sector clients, Corp-Merch.MX meets the sanitisation protocols and individually wrapped pieces for sterile areas.
Retail and consumer: Expo ANTAD (April in Guadalajara), Fashion Market (several editions in CDMX and GDL), Intermoda (July in GDL), AbastoMX. Corp-Merch.MX produces kits for product-launch teams on the store floor and for retail buyers walking the aisles.
Energy and e-mobility: EV Mexico Summit (September in CDMX), Oil & Gas (every other year, CDMX), GreenExpo (September in CDMX, WTC). Corp-Merch.MX recommends pieces in certified recycled materials (RPET, recycled cotton) for clients who need merch aligned with their ESG narrative.
Logistics and supply chain: Logistics & Distribution (October in CDMX, Expo Santa Fe), Intermodal (every other year), Cargo Logistics (rotating venue). For logistics events merch is more functional: rechargeable flashlights, backpacks with document compartments, power banks.
Tourism and hospitality: Tianguis Turístico (October, rotating), IBTM Americas (September-October in CDMX), ABAV (rotating), Fitur Mexico (January in CDMX), Travel Mart (CDMX). Corp-Merch.MX produces tropical-aware apparel for shows in warm-weather destinations.
Mining and construction: Expo Minera (October in Guanajuato or rotating venue), The Buildings Show (rotating), Concrete Show (rotating). For mining, merch is heavy-duty: jackets with reinforced stitching, waxed-canvas backpacks, double-walled thermos bottles.
Real estate and housing: Expo CIHAC (October in CDMX, Centro Citibanamex), Mexico Real Estate (CDMX), regional shows in Tijuana, Mérida, Querétaro. Corp-Merch.MX produces launch kits for pre-sale events with utility and decorative pieces.
Education and academic: FIL Guadalajara (November-December, Expo Guadalajara), National Education Congress, postgraduate fairs. Corp-Merch.MX produces institutional merch with fine embroidery and institutional colours.
Merch logistics by venue
Every major venue in Mexico has its own loading and unloading dynamics. Corp-Merch.MX has worked in all of them and knows which loading windows allow external vendors and which do not.
Centro Citibanamex (CDMX) has access via Conscripto street, forklift with advance booking, and a typical loading window between 20:00 and 06:00 for next-day events. The booth must be ready before 08:00 on opening day. Corp-Merch.MX delivers to the booth 18 hours before event start and coordinates with the venue's forklift.
Expo Guadalajara has access via Enrique Díaz de León street, a wider loading window (18:00 to 07:00), but requires a vendor credential that is processed 72 hours in advance. Corp-Merch.MX arranges the credentials for the client and the on-site setup team.
Cintermex (Monterrey) has access via Fundadores avenue, a loading window limited to 4 hours before the event. For clients arriving from outside Monterrey, Corp-Merch.MX offers temporary warehousing in the same city with morning-of delivery to the booth.
WTC CDMX has access via the basement parking, internal forklift, and requires the merchandise to pass through security screening before entering the exhibition floor. The screening queue can take 1-3 hours depending on event volume. Corp-Merch.MX recommends entering the venue at least 12 hours in advance.
Poliforum León has access via the main exhibition gate, wide window but requires a loading appointment. The advantage of Poliforum is its proximity to the Bajío airport, which allows Corp-Merch.MX to receive production from the CDMX workshop via air freight with 48 hours of advance.
Expo Santa Fe (CDMX) has access via Darío Fernández street, requires a freight elevator with booking. Corp-Merch.MX recommends delivery to the booth 24 hours in advance to avoid the elevator being saturated at the last minute.
Merch programme by show type
For industrial shows (Expo Manufactura, Hannover, FABTECH) the merch is predominantly functional: technical polos with UV protection, backpacks with tool compartments, industrial thermos bottles, rechargeable LED flashlights. Average investment per attendee is moderate and expected utility is high.
For technology and IT shows (Talent Land, INCmty) the merch carries more digital: power banks, NFC wristbands, hydration bottles with sensors, headphones, encrypted USB sticks. Average investment per attendee is high but the social-media impact and post-event use of the piece justify it.
For food and beverage shows (ANTAD, Abastur) the merch blends utility and premium pieces: professional apron with tablet pocket, chef-knife set for VIP gifting, temperature-integrated mug for tasters, thermal bag for samples. Average investment per attendee is medium-high.
For tourism shows (Tianguis, IBTM) the merch is light and tropical-aware: palm hats, lightweight cotton polos, branded sandals, foldable backpacks. Average investment per attendee is medium and social-media visibility is the main objective.
For health and medical shows (Medical Expo) the merch meets protocols: individually sanitised packaging, washable materials, antimicrobial apparel. Average investment per attendee is high because the medical-technical attendee expects professional-quality pieces.
