2021 figures

During 2021 we delivered sixty-four thousand pieces to fifty-five corporate clients. Revenue grew twelve per cent against 2020 — a pandemic year with minimal operation. Average ticket per programme stood at one hundred and sixty thousand MXN before VAT, with a range from ten thousand MXN on exploratory programmes to two million five hundred thousand MXN on multi-site programmes with quarterly calendars. The percentage of orders delivered on time landed at ninety-two per cent.

The percentage of non-conformities reported by customers was one point seven per cent of total pieces delivered. Each non-conformance was documented with 8D format or equivalent and closed with verified corrective action. Non-conformance traceability is kept for at least three years for audit purposes. The operation grew year-on-year with the addition of two enterprise clients on annual programmes.

Sectors served in 2021

The five sectors with the highest revenue during 2021 were IMMEX manufacturing with twenty-five per cent of total, banking and financial services with nineteen per cent, mass consumer with thirteen per cent, government and public sector agencies with fifteen per cent, and health with ten per cent. The remaining eighteen per cent was distributed among fintech, hospitality, higher education, technology companies and special projects.

The sector with the strongest growth against 2020 was health at one hundred and twenty per cent, driven by internal communications programmes at hospitals and by mass vaccination campaigns. The sector with the strongest stability was government with recurring tenders and fixed calendars. CFDI 4.0 invoicing was impeccable — no SAT or customer internal audit observations during the year.

Plazas covered in 2021

Operation concentrated in six plazas: CDMX with twenty-eight per cent of deliveries, Monterrey with sixteen per cent, Guadalajara with twelve per cent, Querétaro with eight per cent, Puebla with six per cent and Mérida with five per cent. The remaining twenty-five per cent corresponded to point deliveries in Tijuana, León, Cancún, Veracruz, Cuernavaca, Chihuahua and Hermosillo.

Direct operational coverage in CDMX, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Querétaro and Mérida was maintained with local staff and delivery fleet. Deliveries to secondary plazas ran with national logistics operators with agreed SLA. Average delivery stood at seven business days with a variance of two to twelve days per plaza and product type.

Printing methods in 2021

Distribution by printing method: screen printing fifty-five per cent of total customised pieces, embroidery twenty-six per cent, sublimation eight per cent, digital transfer four per cent, laser engraving six per cent, and DTF one per cent. Screen printing dominated by unit cost on large runs; embroidery by presentation on polos and jackets; sublimation by sports and recognition pieces; laser engraving by premium and high-value pieces.

DTF was barely used at the start of the year — photographic personalisation was done with digital transfer or sublimation. Adoption grew at year-end when partner workshops began offering DTF capacity. CFDI 4.0 invoicing carried the payment complement where applicable.

Regulatory compliance in 2021

One hundred per cent of textiles delivered complied with NOM-004-SCFI-2006 on labelling. One hundred per cent of electrical items complied with NOM-024-SCFI-2013 on commercial information, and those connected to mains additionally complied with NOM-003-SCFI-2014 on safety. One hundred per cent of beverage kits complied with NOM-141-SSA1-SCFI-2012 with verification of the authorised producer documentation.

Invoicing was issued one hundred per cent under CFDI 4.0 — the year of the transition from CFDI 3.3 to CFDI 4.0. The transition was completed without friction. We had no customer internal audit observations or SAT observations during 2021. The Carta Porte was issued on the percentage of shipments with logistics operators that required the receipt.

Events served in 2021

During 2021 we served fifteen in-person events at venues, mainly international fairs and product launches that could run with capacity controls and health protocols. Event operation was smaller than in prior years due to pandemic restrictions. Each event had a local lead coordinating with the venue dock window, the on-site consignee and the signed delivery receipt.

Events with multi-audience kits — staff, press, VIP and speaking — had a single programme lead coordinating audience separation and delivery with correct name and company. The distribution error rate at events landed at zero point five per cent. Invoicing broke down per event and product line.

Six lessons for 2022

One: post-pandemic reactivation brought shorter runs — we adapted the operation to medium runs with greater programming flexibility. Two: lot-level traceability becomes a requirement from the brief, not only at delivery — we started strengthening the record from raw material intake. Three: the health sector requires additional regulatory compliance — we tightened compliance with NOM-137-SSA1 for hospital textiles where applicable.

Four: CFDI 4.0 invoicing with payment complement becomes standard across all clients — we maintain continuous SAT updates. Five: audience-based bundling with differentiated composition gains ground over the single kit — we started developing pre-built bundling templates. Six: delivery with plant staff and scheduled appointment beats conventional shipping — we started evaluating the expansion of in-house delivery staff.
