VIP Terrace: the Polanco rooftop where the industrial group stages its brand experience and the merch goes out with the sunset view

The VIP Terrace is the rooftop of the five-star hotel complex in Polanco: 120 cocktail guests, 360-degree city views, central bar with the hotel's mixology, two food-pairing islands, floating stage for DJ or live music, architectural lighting with temperature and humidity control, capacity for afternoon and evening events, private elevator access from the hotel lobby or service-stair access from back-of-house. This is where industrial groups run their brand experiences (new car model reveal, new insurance portfolio launch), where IPC-listed issuers host post-quarterly-press hospitality cocktails, where international chambers run their European-delegation receptions, where corporates run their year-end events (100 top collaborators), and where family offices run their anniversary parties. What defines the VIP Terrace is not the view (which is spectacular), but the ritual: merch is delivered at sunset, with daylight, in that window when the guest hasn't reached their second cocktail yet.

VIP Terrace logistics, access, and custody

The VIP Terrace runs on a single service access: the hotel complex's service elevator, which lifts up to 500 kg per trip on a restricted schedule (usually 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00). The pedestrian service entrance requires pre-registered ID, hotel badge, and logbook signature. The hotel's ops staff hand off POP material and guest kits with visible ID and badge, and they handle the bar and food-pairing setup. The back-of-house of the VIP Terrace has a single zone: the protocol room, where the merch sits in sealed corporate-stamped boxes and is distributed to the entrance in the morning. The VIP Terrace has no kitchen visible to guests: the hotel's chef sends plates from the central kitchen via the service elevator, and bar service is coordinated with the hotel's head of room.

For brand experiences with international guests (typically from the US, Europe, and Asia), we handle USD invoicing at the Banco de México FIX rate from the day before, with USMCA compliance and supporting documentation for deductibility as Public Relations or Marketing at the corporate fiscal close. For brand experiences attended by regulators or public officials, we handle compliance with the hotel security protocol and the Policía Bancaria e Industrial when applicable. The custody chain is documented with signature, time, and photo at every control point: service-elevator ingress, hotel-ops inspection, bar setup, cocktail restocking, post-event pickup.

For corporates with IMMEX operations or Bajío export plants, we issue complementary SAT CFDI 4.0 invoicing with the 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deductibility as Marketing or Public Relations. For groups with dual listings (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq), we issue bilingual (es/en) invoicing with USMCA compliance when the guest kit crosses the border as part of the hospitality material for the foreign-resident institutional investor. For family offices with Riviera Maya real-estate operations, we invoice under the business-activities regime with rental income.

Confidentiality, VIP Terrace compliance, and prohibitions

The VIP Terrace has operating rules that the merch must respect: no merch with elements that blow in the wind (because of the rooftop height), no merch with elements that produce noise or visual distraction, no backpacks or large bags on the terrace, no POP material with third-party logos (a frequent request from listed corporates), no food or drinks outside the hotel's catering service. For sessions requiring limited-edition merch (numbered group-anniversary tee, signed book from the invited author, coaster with the launch year), we coordinate with the hotel's ops team so the piece satisfies the security protocol, the brand protocol, and the transmission protocol (when the brand experience is internal and not broadcast).

For sessions with media coverage (post-launch press conference, new product reveal, lifestyle and travel coverage), we handle compliance with the corporate and the hotel press protocols, with pieces that carry no third-party logos or are digitally masked when the corporate manual requires it. For sessions with internal transmission to the group's plants (Bajío-, Monterrey-, or Saltillo-transmitted brand experiences), we handle compliance with the corporate transmission protocol, with pieces visible on screen and pieces concealed from the transmission. For events live-streamed abroad (videocall with guests in London, NY, or Frankfurt), we handle time-zone compliance and shipping of pieces to the international affiliates two weeks in advance.

For SAT invoicing, we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deductibility as Marketing, Public Relations, or Corporate Communications, depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX or US operations, we issue complementary USD or EUR invoicing with USMCA compliance support when the merch crosses the border as part of the hospitality material. The merch ships with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign-trade complement when applicable, and with the payments complement when the corporate pays in instalments. Delivery to the protocol room is documented with an entry slip signed by the hotel's head of operations and the corporate's logistics lead.

MOQ, costs, and VIP Terrace reservations

Terrace guest kit — from MXN $3,250 before VAT per piece on a 100-run. Mixologist merch — from MXN $2,450 before VAT per person on a 16-run. Presenter hospitality — from MXN $7,800 before VAT per piece on a 12-run. VIP guest recognition — from MXN $9,800 before VAT per piece on an 8-run. The costs do not include the VIP Terrace rental, which is quoted directly by the hotel's events team depending on day, schedule, staging, menu (usually cocktail standing with 4 food-pairing islands), and add-on services (mixology, music, lighting, service staff).

For brand experiences on high-demand dates (product launches, year-end brand experiences, post-assembly hospitality cocktails), we calendar-block with 60 days' notice and a firm written commitment. For brand experiences on low-demand dates, we block with 30 days' notice. Express production under 14 days incurs a +35% curation and dispatch surcharge. The reservation is made with a 14-point brief: event date, event type, guest count, pieces per package, corporate brand manual, corporate color palette, hotel press protocol, transmission compliance, load-in logistics, post-event donation, SAT invoicing, and USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border.

Can you deliver the guest kit with daylight and the sunset view?

Yes — we coordinate with the hotel's ops team so the kit is delivered between 18:00 and 19:30, when daylight is still generous. The custody chain is documented with the guest's signature and held in the protocol room until the moment of delivery.

Can you handle the merch for brand experiences that recur periodically?

Yes — we run periodic programming with the same brand manual, scaling the run to match the brand-experience agenda and special guests (key international clients, strategic prospects, regulatory authorities). Coordination with the marketing directorate for the editorial curation of the guest kit.

Can you invoice the merch as a marketing expense?

Yes — we issue CFDI 4.0 to the SAT with the 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deductibility as Marketing, Public Relations, or Corporate Communications, depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations, we issue complementary USD invoicing with the foreign-trade complement and USMCA compliance.

Is Corp-Merch an official partner of the VIP Terrace?

No. Corp-Merch.MX is an independent workshop for merch curation, production, and logistics for cocktails, brand experiences, and sunset corporate events at the VIP Terrace and other CDMX venues.
