Principal Hall I: where the Mexican industrial group presents the year's P&L and the economic press takes note

Principal Hall I is the flagship hall of a congress complex in the West side of CDMX: 480 horseshoe seats, three-level stage, 12-metre LED screen, simultaneous-translation booth for four languages, two protocol dressing rooms, coffee-break foyer overlooking the garden, load-in docks for a full trailer. This is where S&P/BMV IPC constituents post their quarterly numbers, where BMV-listed companies hold their annual shareholder assemblies, where the OEMs with plants in the Bajío launch next year's model, where nearshoring consortiums sign MOUs with Taiwanese and Korean suppliers, and where development banks run their financial-disclosure roadshows. What defines Principal Hall I is not the scale of the staging (which tends to be cinematic), but the logistics chain: merch has to clear the loading dock on time, get dressed in the back-of-house, be in the protocol holders' hands before the CEO walks on stage, and cleared cleanly after the cocktail without a single piece ending up where it shouldn't.

Principal Hall I logistics, access, and custody

Principal Hall I runs two loading docks: the north dock takes a 12-ton trailer on a restricted schedule (usually 6:00–10:00 and 19:00–23:00), and the south dock takes a 3.5-ton box truck on a wider window. The pedestrian service entrance requires pre-registered ID, complex badge, and a logbook signature; there is no informal access. The complex's ops staff hand off the POP material and the protocol kits with visible ID and badge, and they handle restocking during coffee-break intermissions. The back-of-house of Principal Hall I has three zones: the press room (where the analyst kit is staged), the principal dressing room (where the CEO kit is delivered), and the protocol warehouse (where the rest of the merch sits in sealed corporate-stamped boxes).

For assemblies with international shareholders (typically from the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia), we handle invoicing in USD at the Banco de México FIX rate from the day before the event, with USMCA compliance and supporting documentation for deductibility as a Corporate Governance or Investor Relations expense at the corporate fiscal close. For assemblies attended by public officials, diplomatic corps, or guests with escorts, we handle security-protocol compliance for the complex and for the Policía Bancaria e Industrial when applicable. The merch custody chain is documented with signature, time, and photo at every control point: dock entry, ops staff inspection, transit to back-of-house, intermission restock, post-event pickup.

For corporates with IMMEX operations or export plants in the Bajío, we issue complementary SAT CFDI 4.0 invoicing with the 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deductibility as a Public Relations or Investor Relations expense. For groups with dual listings (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq), we issue bilingual (es/en) invoicing with USMCA compliance when the shareholder kit crosses the border as part of the hospitality kit for the shareholder resident abroad. For family offices with real-estate operations in the Riviera Maya, we invoice under the business-activities regime with rental income.

Confidentiality, Principal Hall I compliance, and prohibitions

Principal Hall I has operating rules that the merch must respect: no mobile phones in the hall during votes (when it's an assembly), no merch with elements that produce noise or distraction, no backpacks or large bags in the hall, no POP material with third-party logos (a frequent request from listed corporates), no food or drinks outside the complex's catering service. For sessions requiring limited-edition merch (numbered anniversary tee, signed book from the invited author, coaster with the assembly year), we coordinate with the complex's ops team so the piece satisfies the security protocol, the press protocol, and the transmission protocol (when the event is internal and not recorded).

For sessions with economic-press coverage (post-assembly press conference, quarterly results presentation, annual strategy reveal), we handle compliance with the corporate and the complex press protocols, with pieces that carry no third-party logos or are digitally masked when the corporate manual requires it. For sessions with internal transmission to the group's plants (Bajío-, Monterrey-, or Saltillo-transmitted launches), we handle compliance with the corporate transmission protocol, with pieces visible on screen and pieces concealed from the transmission. For events live-streamed abroad (videocall with investors in London, NY, or Frankfurt), we handle time-zone compliance and shipping of pieces to the international houses two weeks in advance.

For SAT invoicing, we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deductibility as Corporate Governance, Public Relations, or Investor Relations, depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX or US operations, we issue complementary USD or EUR invoicing with USMCA compliance support when the merch crosses the border as part of the hospitality kit. The merch ships with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign-trade complement when applicable, and with the payments complement when the corporate pays in instalments. Delivery to back-of-house is documented with an entry slip signed by the complex's head of operations and the corporate's logistics lead.

MOQ, costs, and Principal Hall I reservations

Shareholder kit — from MXN $1,250 before VAT per piece on a 280-run. Staff and protocol merch — from MXN $3,450 before VAT per person on a 60-run. CEO hospitality — from MXN $9,800 before VAT per piece on a 12-run. Analyst recognition — from MXN $1,950 before VAT per piece on a 24-run. The costs do not include the Principal Hall I rental, which is quoted directly by the complex's events team depending on day, schedule, technical staging, and add-on services (catering, wine cellar, table service, AV equipment, service staff, transmission).

For assemblies on high-demand dates (quarterly IPC-group assemblies, bank investor days, OEM launches tied to production dates), we calendar-block with 90 days' notice and a firm written commitment. For assemblies on low-demand dates, we block with 45 days' notice. Express production under 21 days incurs a +35% curation and dispatch surcharge. The reservation is made with a 14-point brief: event date, event type (assembly, investor day, launch, press conference), attendee count, pieces per package, corporate brand manual, corporate color palette, complex press protocol, transmission compliance, load-in logistics, post-event donation, SAT invoicing, and USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border.

Principal Hall I frequently asked questions

Can you deliver the shareholder kit with a signature-of-receipt per attendee?

Yes — we deliver the kit with an individual delivery slip, signed by the attendee, time-stamped, and signed by the uniformed staff who delivers it. The custody chain is documented with photography when the complex protocol allows, and the slip is held in a sealed envelope for the full day, returned at the close of the event. For assemblies with voting, we coordinate with the corporate secretary so the kit carries no campaign material.

Can you handle the merch for assemblies that recur every year?

Yes — we run annual programming with the same brand manual, scaling the run to match the assembly agenda and special guests (international independent directors, SEC observers when applicable, external auditors). Coordination with the corporate secretary for the editorial curation of the annual report and the shareholder kit.

Can you invoice the merch as an investor-relations expense?

Yes — we issue CFDI 4.0 to the SAT with the 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deductibility as Investor Relations, Corporate Governance, or Public Relations, depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations, we issue complementary USD invoicing with the foreign-trade complement and USMCA compliance.

Is Corp-Merch an official partner of Principal Hall I?

No. Corp-Merch.MX is an independent workshop for merch curation, production, and logistics for assemblies, investor days, and launches at Principal Hall I and other CDMX venues. Principal Hall I is mentioned for descriptive purposes only.
